Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

Inside the box, I found the Zeblaze THOR 5 watch with a protective film on the screen, also there was a USB charging cable with a four-pin magnetic connection, a screwdriver with additional bolts and a brief instruction in English.

The standard packaging and components, so nothing superfluous and surprising. Let’s start our test with the following category – appearance.

Zeblaze THOR 5: Design

The quality of the assembly and materials, like other models of watches from the company Zeblaze – at a high level.
Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

On the front side, the smartwatch is made of metal and has the designation of the power buttons and back, as well as the inscription camera on the right side.

Also on the front side is a 1.39-inch screen with a 454 x 454 pixel AMOLED screen. The picture quality at a high level and brightness will suffice even in bright sunlight. The viewing angles and contrast with good performance. Touch control is responsive, but there will be some difficulty typing if you have small fingers.

Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

A little unusual arrangement of control buttons on the left side, before almost all models, was on the right side. Of course, you can get used to it, but this is not a very convenient solution if you are not left-handed.

On the right side is the front 8-megapixel camera for photos and video. It sticks out a bit from the case and looks a little strange.

On the back panel, everything is standard, here I see a heart rate sensor, a four-pin charging connection and a slot for a 4G SIM card.

The disadvantage can include a non-removable strap. This begins to occur in many watches, so it will be problematic to change the strap to another, for example, leather.

The dimensions of the Zeblaze THOR 5 are 54 x 50 x 15.2 mm and the weight is only 67 grams in our test. On the hand, the watches look a bit bulky, but they are light in weight.

In general, the design is very different from other competitors, but is it for the better? To judge only you, but the quality of the assembly and materials at a high level.

Zeblaze THOR 5: Performance and Features

The Zeblaze THOR 5 smartwatch uses two processors in the analisis. The first for the full-fledged Android mode is the MediaTek MT6739, and the second for the fitness tracker mode is the Nordic 52840. Therefore, I can say that this smartwatch is a hybrid one.

The watch was installed 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The performance of the Zeblaze THOR 5 is at a good level and during testing, I did not find any problems to use.

On the main page of smartwatches, you can choose different watch faces. They inform about the date, battery level, steps taken and more.

The watch was installed the front camera at 8-megapixels. The quality of photos is not at a high level, but if you need to make quick photos or videos is good.

Since smartwatches have control on Android 7.1.1, you can install almost any application. Even some games can be played. The operating system is stable and intuitive. If you previously used Chinese smartwatches on Android, then you will not have problems.

As I already mentioned, there is another mode – this is a fitness tracker mode. In this mode, everything is simplified and does not use the Android system.

Therefore, the battery life increases to 4 days. The watch in fitness mode speaks for themselves.

Here you can check the time, distance traveled, distance, and more, that is, exactly the same functions as regular fitness trackers, only with a large screen.

Like other watches, you can call and use the Internet connection, so the use of social networks will not be a problem.

Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

Much can be said about the functions and features of smartwatches, but I talked about the main ones since all smartwatches are identical. If you’re interested, you can read in other reviews in the category of smartwatches.

Zeblaze THOR 5: Battery

The battery capacity on the Zeblaze THOR 5 is 545 mAh in our test. In full Android mode, consumption will be higher than in fitness mode.

Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

In the first case, you will have to charge the watch every day, depending on use. In the second case, autonomy is reached up to 4 days.

The charging time through a four-pin connection will take about 2.5-3 hours.

Zeblaze THOR 5: Conclusion and Reviews

If you are looking for a good smartwatch on Android, then Zeblaze THOR 5 will definitely like you.

Zeblaze THOR 5 Review: New Generation of SmartWatches

The high-quality assembly and materials in the design will ensure good and long wearing during operation time.

The performance and possible features will make your wrist smarter, due to the great features and installed applications through the Play Store.

Also, the presence of a dual operating system will make the watch more versatile, which saves the battery level when using only the fitness model.

But it was not without flaws, such as a fixed strap and a small autonomy in Android mode.

Zeblaze THOR 5: Price and Where to buy cheaper?

Already now you can order your Zeblaze THOR 5 smartwatch at a low price of $139.99 with a 36% discount.

I also wanted to leave prices for similar models of smartwatches, such as LEMFO LEM9 and Kospet Optimus. As I mentioned the specs are identical, but the design is different, so you can choose a more attractive look for you.

The company Zeblaze introduced the next generation of smartwatches and with each new generation, smartwatches become more usability.
