On Awaqa.com, you can already find a whole lot of articles about vacuuming robots. These fantastic devices have recently become much cheaper and more accessible for many people.
The best devices in this segment are undoubtedly the robots from Xiaomi. Reliable and equipped with virtually all the most important functions, they were still too expensive for many people.
This situation will undoubtedly change due to the new model on the market – Xiaowa, which can now be ordered at a sensational price.
Xiaowa is the third in a series of vacuum cleaner robots signed with the Xiaomi brand – a leading manufacturer of Chinese electronics.
The first series, which came under the name Xiaomi Mi Robot from the day of its premiere in 2016, is still very popular today.
Xiaomi has offered its customers the latest technologies previously used almost exclusively in the most expensive iRobot Roomba models (room mapping, route memorization, smartphone service, etc.).
At the same time, the Chinese offered their robots for 1/3 of the price of American competition. Thus, Xiaomi Mi Robot has become a real sales hit.
At the end of last year, Xiaomi Mi Robots of the second generation, ie Roborock S50, got the sale (here his review). The manufacturer decided to add a wet mop option to his vacuum cleaners.
This feature was previously available in the products of the competitive iLife brand. Thus Roborock S50 robots have undoubtedly become the best cleaning robots on the market.
However, the Roborock S50 has a disadvantage: you need to spend about $450 – $500.
For a large group of clients, however, this is too much. The answer to their problems may be the latest – a budget series of robots from Xiaomi – Xiaowa called Xiaowa Plus E35 it’s 3rd Generation Robot Vacuum Cleaner from Xiaomi.
Xiaowa Plus E35: Specifications
|Xiaowa Plus E35:||Specs|
|Charging time:||150 mins|
|Operating time:||about 2.5 hours|
|Dimensions:||353.0 x 350.0 x 90.5 mm|
Xiaowa Plus E35: Desing and Appearance
Xiaowa, the third generation of robots cleaning from Xiaomi is in a simplified version of the “best” of its predecessors.
However, the sizes are not much different. It is slightly lower (about 0.5 cm), but otherwise, its size (35.3 x 35.0 x 9.05 cm) resembles the very latest Roborock S50.
As for the design of Xiaowa Plus E35, I would also like to note that the new generation received a gray robot color in comparison with previous models.
This is a stylish and good solution, because the white color is a bit boring, and I wanted to see a little new, and here it is in the new Xiaowa Plus E35.
Xiaowa is, however, devoid of a turret with a laser scanner.
This difference in appearance is also crucial in the context of the robot function. The lack of the mentioned sensor means that Xiaowa does not scan rooms.
Thus, the robot does not have the function of automatically returning to the base after traveling all surfaces, but like in the case of cheaper iLife models – it is vacuumed until the battery ends.
When the battery level drops below 30% – the robot will automatically start looking for a base to charge.
After charging, however, it will not resume work in the place where he finished.
If we start the robot again – it will start cleaning from the beginning. The battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh allows you to work up to 2.5 hours, but it is enough to vacuum the whole flat on one charge.
The manufacturer recommends the robot for rooms with an area of up to 90 m2.
Despite the much lower price, the robot retains high suction power: 2000 Pa is definitely more than most vacuum robots offer us and only slightly less than the much more expensive Mi Robot (1800 Pa) and Roborocks (2000 Pa).
The vacuum cleaner also increases the efficiency of the turbo brush.
Xiaowa Plus E35 third generation in the test, like the more expensive predecessors, will have the function of intelligent route planning, though without the use of a laser.
Like the predecessors, the robot will overcome thresholds up to 2 cm high.
The robot has 10 types of detectors that will take care of the effective vacuuming process while we can relax with a beer.
Xiaowa Plus E35: Working and Cleaning
It is also worth paying attention to a very large container for dust: up to 640 ml, that is more than in Roborock.
In addition, Xiaowa Plus E35 third generation in the analisis also has service using a smartphone application.
Thus, from any place on Earth (with access to the Internet), we will be able to give instructions to our robot even if it will be thousands of miles away.
The function compared to Roborock is slightly less, but they are the most important, including the possibility of programming automatic vacuuming at a specific time.
When the Xiaowa Plus E35 in our analisis was delivered to us directly from China after several weeks of waiting, we could not wait to finally test it.
The test field was a large, newly renovated apartment in which it was among other things to eliminate building waste.
In the everyday test, the cleaning performance was absolutely convincing and also the fact that the mop in the washing machine at 60°C received something, did not bother us.
Even then, the mop can be attached without problems to the water tank. In addition, it should be emphasized positively that the battery actually lasts longer and at least in our test, the capacity of the dust collection container was sufficient.
Only those who have pets with long hair or a small wild gang of children who like to crumble a lot could quickly reach their limits here.
Sometimes it can happen that Xiaowa Plus E35 swallows loose cables or wraps extra long plant stalks around its rotating side brush.
However, these are rare exceptions and a few precautions to handle well.
The only real negative experience we had when using the wipe mode.
After attaching the mop and filling the water tank, Xiaowa Plus E35 eagerly scrubbed all the floors – and the same with the rugs.
The carpet detection mode does not work in combination with the wiping function.
Therefore, either only rooms without carpets with Xiaowa Plus E35 should be wiped or runners previously cleared away.
Alternatively, it would also be conceivable to send the suction and wiper robot via app only to very specific locations and then to suck or wipe targeted.
However, all the disadvantages mentioned here are not uncommon for vacuum robots and are often found in much more expensive models.
Apart from that, many problems can be easily circumvented, so the benefit clearly outweighs. We certainly do not want to miss our Xiaowa Plus E35 vacuum robots.
In summary, investing in a Xiaowa Plus E35 really pays off in the test.
Xiaowa Plus E35: Conclusions and Reviews
Choosing a vacuum cleaner is not a simple task, because there are a lot of them on the market.
It is important to consider your own needs when choosing. Xiaowa Plus E35 third generation vacuum cleaner in our review is a very good choice especially for people who do not have too big a budget for a robot and have a small flat (up to 100 sqm).
The robot has a mop function, and it has practically all the most important features needed for regular use.
