If you have been looking for wireless TWS earbuds with an interesting design and at a low price for a long time, then perhaps a device called the Wavefun G100 would be a good choice.
Of the main features, the earbuds stand out primarily for their stylish and playful style. They also received a number of interesting features and if you want to know about them, then I suggest reading this article in full.
As for the cost, at present the price tag for the Wavefun G100 earbuds is just over $20. That is, these are ultra-budget TWS earbuds and let’s take a look at their main features before proceeding with a detailed inspection of the device.
The manufacturer promises about 45ms of latency in game mode, but is that so? I will definitely share my results in this article. Also, the earbuds received a 10 mm titanium driver and there is protection against water under the IPX5 standard.
But the wireless connection is not the latest generation – it’s Bluetooth 5.0. Therefore, I will definitely pay attention to the quality of the connection and its features during my testing. Ok, now I think we can start fully testing the device from Wavefun.

|Bluetooth protocol:||AAC и SBC|
Unboxing and packaging
The Wavefun G100 earbuds come in a fairly compact black package. The box itself was not made of the thinnest material and that made me happy. Since it is rare to find ultra-budget TWS earbuds in a good and tight package.
On the front of the package, there was a company logo with the designation of the model name. But on the back of the box, there was a list of the main technical specifications.
Meanwhile, inside the package, I was able to find it directly with the earbuds themselves with the charging box. Also just below is a set of silicone ear tips, a Type-C charging cable and instructions for use in English.
As for the package bundle, I did not reveal any special complaints during my testing. All components were assembled well and the package was standard for this class of devices.
Design, build quality and materials
Considering that the new model of Wavefun G100 wireless earbuds belongs to the gaming style, the appearance and shape were appropriate. But only one color option will be available to choose from. As you can guess from the pictures it is black.
In fact, I liked the matte black plastic used, both in the earbuds and in the charging case. I cannot call the plastic itself a budget one, since there were practically no fingerprints left on its surface. Although after my testing, some abrasions were visible, as well as micro scratches.
If we talk about build quality, then the Wavefun G100 earbuds themselves were well assembled. That is, I did not identify any extraneous sounds during my testing. In addition, the manufacturer promises splash protection under the IPX5 standard. Therefore, the device will not be afraid of light rain or sweat, but you cannot completely wet the earbuds.
Okay, now let’s talk about the fit. In fact, there were no special complaints from a practical point of view. Even the weight of one earbud was negligible, only 3.8 grams. Therefore, I could easily wear the earbuds for hours without feeling much discomfort.
But in truth, you have to understand that these are in-ear earbuds with silicone ear tips. This means that when worn, your ears will ask you for a little pause due to minor fatigue.
On the front of the Wavefun G100 earbud case, there is a touch panel with LED backlight. It is worth warning that the indicator will not light up while listening to music or playing a game session. On the bottom of the leg, there is a two-pin connection and a microphone hole. At the same time, the sound guide itself received a protective mesh from dust and debris.
Ok, now let’s talk about the charging case and its features. The boxing itself was also made in a play style. On the front of the case, you can find the company logo with LED backlighting. In terms of build quality, I didn’t really like the lid opening design.
Namely, the lid had a slight backlash and was not fixed in the open position.
A Type-C charging connection can be found on the bottom of the case. The dimensions of the charging box were as follows: 60 x 46 x 25 mm, and the weight was about 33 grams. That is, I can easily put the case in my jeans pocket and not feel any discomfort. Okay, I figured out the appearance, now let’s find out the quality of the connection and talk about the touch control functions.
Connection, latency and touch control
On the wireless connection, not everything is at the best level, since the Wavefun G100 earbud uses Bluetooth 5.0 version. But do not forget that these are ultra-budget earbuds for $ 20 and therefore there cannot be the latest generation of Bluetooth in principle.
As for the connection quality, I did not have any particular complaints about the earbuds from Wavefun. At the same time, the sound was caught at a distance of 10 meters and pierced through two walls in the apartment. I did not find any special freezes or other problems. In addition, the earbuds can work as a pair or separately.
As I already mentioned, the G100 earbud has a game mode and let’s talk about it in more detail. For example, when activating the game mode, I had no problems at all while watching videos on YouTube. The same applies to games, for example, in PUBG Mobile, I did not feel any lag at all and could comfortably play in a pair with these earbuds. But I cannot name the delay of 45 ms, since it was in the range of 100-150 ms.
If we talk about touch control, then the device has received many useful functions. But accidental clicks were present and there was no way to escape from them.
- Double tapping on the right channel of the earbuds increases the volume level, and on the left channel decreases the volume.
- Triple tap on the left channel to the device activates the voice assistant function.
- A triple tap on the right channel of the earbud switches the operating modes from gaming to music.
But I did not identify such functions as pause, play, receiving a phone call and switching tracks.
Sound and microphone quality
A 10 mm dynamic titanium driver is responsible for the sound in the Wavefun G100 gaming earbuds. Also on board the device uses an ATS3015 processor with support for AAC and SBC audio codecs. If we talk about the headroom of the volume level, then you will not find any particular problems here. The sound was with a good volume margin and I do not recommend listening to music at 100% volume, as your hearing will deteriorate in a matter of days.
At the same time, low frequencies played very decently, as for their class of devices. That is, there was a pleasant and voluminous bass in the sound. Even I found a decent sub-bass sound, which is a rare occurrence for this class of earbuds.
As for the mid and high frequencies, everything is not as good here as with the low frequencies. The vocalist’s voice sounded a little distorted. Also, over 70% of the volume level, porridge appears in the sound. This is not surprising since these are $20 ultra budget earbuds. Therefore, the sound quality was fully consistent with its price.
As for the microphones, I had no particular complaints. As even in noisy places the microphones worked well. That is, my voice was heard clearly, although there was also a wheeze, but extraneous noises were well cut out against their background. It is clear that in a quiet place, microphones also worked well for their purpose.
Battery and run time
In the case of battery life, it makes no sense to expect high performance. Since a 40 mAh battery was used on board the device, and the charging case itself received a 400 mAh battery.
At 50% volume level, the earbuds worked for 4 hours and 10 minutes. This is not the record figure, but this value of battery life will be enough for most users. In this case, the charging case can recharge the earbuds 3 times and the total operating time will be about 16 hours.
But there is no wireless charging on board the case. But fast charging was also in 15 minutes of charging, the earbuds received about 30% of the charge level. A full charge was approximately 55 minutes.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
I cannot call the new model of Wavefun G100 wireless earbuds very unique. But it received a number of interesting features and let’s talk about them in more detail.
First of all, I liked that the device received an interesting appearance with a playful design note. Also, the earbuds have a good high-quality assembly and, most importantly, matte materials are used in their performance.
Apart from that, I liked the work of the game mode. Since the delay was negligible, not only when watching videos on YouTube, but also in games. Other advantages include good and voluminous bass, the presence of a volume control function and good performance of the microphones.
But the disadvantages I can single out are the not particularly high-quality assembly of the charging box, the lack of touch control functions, and the low battery life.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
As I said at the beginning of the review and in general throughout the entire article, the price tag for a new model of wireless earbuds in a gaming style is very insignificant.
For example, you can currently get the Wavefun G100 at a bargain and low price for only $21.99 with a 76% discount. Therefore, given its cost and the features offered by the manufacturer Wavefun, I can recommend this earbud model for purchase.
