Umidigi is not the first year on the international market of mobile devices and their products really surprise by their technical characteristics, but at the same time at a low price. Today I would like to talk about a new model called Umidigi X about its features and main functions.
In this article I will try to uncover all the pros and cons of the new model and how it is better than the previous ones.
Now there is an action on a Umidigi X smartphone and the price is only $180 with a good discount.
The main features are a large 6.35-inch screen with a fingerprint scanner under the touch panel, a triple camera with 48 megapixels main, NFC, 4150 mAh battery and much more.
A surprisingly interesting smartphone that has great potential in terms of its characteristics, but let’s see in practice if everything is so good.

Umidigi X: Unboxing
If someone has previously met with devices from the Umidigi company, then there will be no surprise in the appearance of the box.
It is typical as on most models – it is a black small box, where on the front part there is only the name of the company. On the back, there is a sticker with the name of the model and technical specifications.
Inside the box we are greeted by a card with the gratitude of the purchase, then the smartphone itself with a protective case, instructions in English, Type-C charging cable in red and a charging power adapter for 18W.
I always like the way the Umidigi company is set to look and despite its budget price, the box looks premium.
Umidigi X: Design
The new Umidigi X model is made of glass both on the front and on the back panel and is held thanks to a metal frame. In the hand, the smartphone looks solid and does not feel cheap.
On the front panel there is a large 6.35-inch screen with waterdrop notch for the front camera and a little higher there is a speaker.
Also, another feature is a fingerprint scanner, which is installed under the screen, like the flagship models. Not a typical solution for a mid-range smartphone and at the same time it works quickly and clearly.
The backside of the smartphone received a triple camera and flash in the upper left corner. I really liked the red iridescent color, which looks insanely beautiful in sunny colors.
The smartphone is not very large in size and amounts to 158.6 x 75.6 x 8.1 mm and weighs 195 grams. It is comfortable in the hand, the corners of the device are slightly rounded, but it will be problematic to operate with one hand.
The power button and volume control on the right side. The slot for SIM cards and a memory card is located on the left side.
The lower part has a main speaker, a microphone and a Type-C port for fast charging. The upper edge received a 3.5 mm audio jack and a noise-canceling microphone.
Appearance Umidigi X really looks like a real flagship and if you do not know the actual price, I would think that a smartphone costs well, exactly $250+.
Umidigi X: Screen
As I already wrote, the smartphone has a large 6.35-inch screen with an AMOLED matrix and HD+ resolution or 1548 x 720 pixels.
This is not the first time I have said that screens with HD resolution are not so bad to look when compared with Full HD screens. As usual, I don’t see individual pixels and the viewing angles are good.
There is enough brightness even in sunny weather and I did not see any problems with readability.
The main feature of the screen is AMOLED technology, which gives some advantages over IPS. For example, color reproduction is much more contrast, black is black, not gray. It is also possible to turn the screen on in the settings and you will see any notifications or time with power off-screen.
Umidigi X: Performance and Software
The performance is not the best in its class, as the Helio P60 processor was installed on the Umidigi X. Of course, I would like to see the Snapdragon chipset, but even so, considering its price, the Helio P60 is not the worst option.
Already not the first model that works with this processor, and if you recall Umidigi F1 or F1 Plus, then the test result shows a pretty good result, you can see a few tests below.
Surprisingly, the device received 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. If you don’t have enough internal memory, you can use an additional memory card.
According to the results of gaming abilities, Umidigi X copes well with heavy games, I did not find any delays or glitches. For example, PUBG Mobile can be played for a long time, the phone does not heat up much, but the graphics settings will be only average.
The new smartphone received an Android 9.0 Pie operating system and an almost stock shell. All Umidigi devices are designed for the international market and the availability of Google applications will always be available.
The user interface is fast and without any delay. In general, I did not notice negative points during the testing of the smartphone.
Umidigi X: Camera
The main camera received three sensors, the main one with 48-megapixels with f/1.79 aperture, and the second with 8-megapixels with f/2.4 aperture for 120 wide ultra-wide photos. And the last 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture for bokeh photos.
On the front side, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The quality of photos in the daytime is positive, the photos have bright colors, good detail. I especially liked the photos with a wide-angle sensor.
In the settings, you can select AI operating modes, shoot video in 4K resolution and much more.
Umidigi X: Communication
An important parameter for any smartphone is the availability of networks for your country. I had no problems since Umidigi X has all the available networks, such as 4G: B38 / 40/41. Communication worked well, both during conversations and while using a 4G internet connection.
The Umidigi X device received Bluetooth version 4.2, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and wireless NFC payment.
In addition, the smartphone has a 3.5 mm audio jack, so you can use your favorite wired headphones without any adapters.
Umidigi X: Battery
A 4150 mAh battery was installed inside the case, which shows amazing battery life on a single charge.
Given that Umidigi X has only HD resolution and an AMOLED screen, so the main energy consumption will be minimal.
In practice, during testing, my smartphone was actively used, both in-game tests and photography, and at the end of the day, I still had about 40% of the charge level.
Therefore, for 2-3 days it will be enough for sure if you use a smartphone, but not at maximum power.
The charging time was about 2 hours through the Type-C port and an 18W power adapter.
Umidigi X: Conclusions and Reviews
Umidigi smartphones have a good impression and give positive emotions during testing, the same applies to the Umidigi X model.
The premium quality materials, appearance make the smartphone unique in its class.
Yes, it may not be the best performance, but it has a lot of memory for everyday use.
Also important is the international firmware using all available networks around the world and the presence of NFC.
The camera shows a good result, and the battery life on a single charge is surprising due to the low resolution and AMOLED screen.
Umidigi X: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now you can buy a Umidigi X smartphone at a low and competitive price for only $179.99 with a 28% discount.
Given its low price, I can easily close my eyes to small flaws and recommend a smartphone for purchase.
