Lenovo has decided to surprise many of its fans with a large number of different wireless budget headphones in its range. Therefore, today I will talk about the top TWS earbuds and share with you about their capabilities and features.
This article will focus on the budget category of wireless headphones with a price tag of around $ 20. As such, you have to understand that almost every headphone from Lenovo on this list will not have the perfect build and sound quality.
In addition, I will tell you which earbuds I liked best, and which ones I didn’t, and why. Therefore, after reading this article, you will be able to navigate which of the models suits you best for your needs.
Okay, the first model on the TWS list of earbuds is the novelty that received not only the lowest cost but also the highest rating from user reviews. This is Lenovo LP1 ahttps://bit.ly/3tcKio7nd let’s talk about it in more detail.
The first on my list of Lenovo wireless earbuds is the LP1. It received many interesting features, such as Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection, IPX4 sweat protection and a rather large 10mm dynamic driver.
In addition, the manufacturer claims a high battery life thanks to the 55 mAh battery capacity in each earbud. Also included is a charging box with a 300 mAh battery. The total battery life using the box will be about 12 hours, and the earbuds can work for about 3 hours without recharging.
On the positive side, I can mention the presence of a Type-C charging port. The presence of passive noise cancellation with pleasant silicone ear tips. On board the earbuds, there is a good touch control operation, but there is no volume control function.
There are also negative aspects to the Lenovo LP1 model. For example, this is not the best build quality, especially when it comes to the charging box lid. I also disliked the glossy plastic, which looks pretty budget and cheap.
But given its $15.99 price tag with a 53% discount, I can definitely recommend the Lenovo LP1. It has a good fit in the ear canal and good technical features, as well as sound.
Like the first wireless headphones on my list, the Lenovo LP1S has similar technical features. But the manufacturer decided to slightly change the appearance of the model.
The LP1S is now designed with smoother edges than the first generation LP1. As for me, the LP1S version of the TWS model sits slightly better and more comfortable in the ear canal than the LP1.
But I can attribute to the disadvantages – this is the reduced battery capacity from 55 to 40 mAh in each earphone. Also, the charging box received a 250 mAh battery capacity instead of 300 mAh when comparing the Lenovo LP1S generations with the LP1, respectively.
Thus, if you are looking for earbuds with a long runtime, then the LP1 model is worth choosing. And if you are looking for a more comfortable model, then the LP1S model will be the better choice.
As I said, other features remain identical to the first generation. That is, it uses the same version of the wireless connection, the same protection against water and others. But the price tag for the Lenovo LP1S model will be slightly higher – $ 21.99.
The third place on my list was occupied by Lenovo LP2 wireless earbuds. If you compare them with Lenovo LP1 or LP1S, then they received a completely different design and sound quality.
If, for example, there was a little bass in the first two models, then already on this LP2 model more emphasis was placed on high frequencies. Lenovo used a 10mm biomembrane driver and the volume margin is very high. This is despite the fact that this model does not have passive noise isolation, that is silicone ear tips.
On the positive side, I liked the plastic used, which is already made of matte material. But the build quality wants to be better, for example, the charging box lid has a bad move.
In addition, the choice of colors is limited to two – these are white and black color options. Compared to the first earbuds on my list, the Lenovo LP1 model had a large list of colors – white, black, red, green and others.
Naturally, I had no problems with wireless connection, since the Lenovo LP2 model uses Bluetooth 5.0 version. I also liked the battery life, on the LP2 model the total battery life using the charging box was 20 hours. This is nearly double the LP1 and LP1S models.
But the current cost for TWS earbuds Lenovo LP2 has the highest, which was $ 25.99. If we compare the earbuds of previous generations from Lenovo, then the price tag for the LP2 model is quite high.
The fourth place on my list of budget TWS earbuds was taken by the Lenovo H301. If the first three models were made in the form of Apple AirPods, then the H301 model has already received a compact appearance of earbuds with silicone ear tips.
Naturally, I had no problems with a wireless connection, since Bluetooth is used here with version 5.0. In addition, these are comfortable earbuds that fit well in the ear canal. They can also be easily suited for sports as they have basic sweat and splash protection.
In addition, I liked the touch controls, they are very responsive and work well. But there is no volume control function here, as well as on all previous models of earbuds from the Lenovo brand. The manufacturer also made the H301 earbuds from matte plastic and the model received three colors – these are white, red and black.
Ok, now I think it’s worth talking about the disadvantages of the H301. The main drawback I can attribute is not the best sound quality. The maximum volume level is not the highest in terms of low frequency, and there is practically no bass.
Therefore, if you are looking for earbuds for music, then this model will not suit you. But if you need earbuds for listening to podcasts, audiobooks, then this model will make sense to purchase.
I can also note the presence of a MicroUSB port on the headphone charging box. Although the manufacturer indicates the Type-C connection in the online store, in fact it is not. On the other hand, the battery life is around 3 hours thanks to the 45 mAh battery. And the total battery life will be up to 12 hours using the charging box.
The cost of the Lenovo H301 TWS earbud model will cost you $21.99. The Lenovo LP1S had the same price.
Now about the fifth place, this is already the middle of my list and this time I want to talk about the Lenovo LP40 wireless earbuds model. This time, the company is promoting this generation as gaming earbuds, as the device has received a special gaming mode. During the activation of this mode, the latency in games or in YouTube will be very insignificant and in fact you will not even notice it.
Other features I can attribute are Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection, sweat and splash protection under the IP54 standard. Also, I liked the way the earbuds fit in my ear canal. Even when doing sports, they did not fall out and sat firmly and well.
The manufacturer offers two colors to choose from – white and black. In this case, the plastic is made of matte material. Again, I cannot say that the assembly is the most ideal, since I have comments on it. Although I think this is not surprising given the cost of the earbuds around $ 20.
In terms of battery life, the earbuds can last about 3 hours on a full charge with a 40 mAh battery. And the total battery life using a charging box with a capacity of 300 mAh was up to 15 hours.
I also liked how touch controls work. It is really adequate and convenient, and it also has all the possible functions, including volume control. A 13 mm dynamic driver is built inside the case and it shows a good result in terms of sound quality.
Overall, I liked the Lenovo LP40 earbud model, and its cost was only $ 22.99.
If you are looking for inexpensive wireless earbuds, but with a large charging box battery capacity, then the Lenovo HT18 model is the best option. The sixth place on our list is taken by TWS earbuds with a nice feature – it’s a long battery life.
The HT18 charging box has a 1000 mAh battery, which will allow you to achieve a battery life of up to 60 hours. Meanwhile, each earbud has a 40mAh battery and a runtime of up to 4 hours on a full charge.
In addition, I liked the look of the earbuds using a combination of two materials – glossy and matte plastic. There are two colors to choose from – white and black plastic. But again, since these are budget earbuds, the plastic quality is not very high, so I myself can say about the build quality.
An interesting feature of the Lenovo HT18 model is the presence of an LED screen on the charging box that will inform you about the remaining battery level.
Each HT18 has an 8mm dynamic driver. Considering that this model of earbuds is in-ear with silicone ear tips, then the presence of passive noise isolation will make sense. But the sound quality is average, for example, low frequencies had good bass, but high frequencies were played not so detailed.
I have no strong remarks about the touch control, but there is no volume control here. I also didn’t like the outdated Micro USB port, so it will take a little longer for the box to charge than if it was a Type-C connection.
In terms of cost, the Lenovo HT18 headphone model has a $21.99 price tag and I think that’s definitely a good price. But do not forget about minor flaws.
Another interesting model from our list, which has already taken the seventh place, is a wireless headphone model called Lenovo PD1.
If we compare the Lenovo PD1 and LP40 models, then they are slightly similar in their specifications. But these models received completely different designs and appearance.
For example, the PD1 earbuds are already made of matte black or white plastic. It is of course good that matte plastic is used instead of glossy material. But the build quality is also not the highest, like all the other models from my list of TWS earbuds from Lenovo.
In addition, the Lenovo PD1 already uses a 10 mm dynamic driver and is 3 mm smaller than the LP40 earbuds. Therefore, the sound quality is slightly different, at least when it comes to the reserve volume level. So, the rest of the range is similar, that is, the low frequencies have almost no bass, but the high frequencies received good detail.
Also, the PD1 headphone model received a game mode. Therefore, when playing games or watching videos, you will not have any lag problems. In terms of wearing comfort, in my case, everything was not so bad. I could safely wear it for a long time and even forget that the earbuds were sitting in my ear canal.
Of course, the good news is the availability of a Type-C charging port. But the battery life on one charge is not the most positive. For example, each earbud has a 30mAh battery that can last up to 3 hours. The total battery life using a 300 mAh charging box with a capacity will be up to 12 hours.
But in terms of cost, everything is standard, as with its predecessors. You can currently purchase the Lenovo PD1 earbuds for $19.99.
If you are looking for another wireless earbud with a large battery capacity, then the Lenovo QT81 variant is a good choice. These TWS earbuds received a 1200mAh charging box. This is even more than the previously speaking Lenovo HT18 model.
In addition, the QT81 model has received a completely different appearance, both of the earbuds themselves and the charging box itself. Now the QT81 modification has already received three LED screens. Where one displays the charge level in the box, and the other two – the left and right channels of the earphone. I think that this is a very convenient solution and you will always know the remaining charge level of both the earbuds and the charging box.
Another positive point is the presence of a Type-C port for charging and a USB-A connection. The latter port serves as a power bank for charging other devices, such as a smartphone.
The case of Lenovo QT81 earbuds is made of glossy plastic and one earphone weighs about 4 grams. Also, you can choose two colors to choose from – it’s white or black. In terms of quality, the performance is the same as with previous models.
But the presence of protection against sweat and splashes under the IPX4 standard pleases. Thus, playing sports using this earbud model will not give you any restrictions. In addition, I liked the firm fit and, most importantly, the fit itself is comfortable. But it is worth noting that these are semi-in-ear earbuds, so they do not have ear tips on the case.
Each earbud channel has a 13mm dynamic driver. This is a good size driver, which gives a good volume level. But the sound quality is quite dissipated, since the model does not have passive sound insulation. Therefore, the low frequencies do not sound very deep and there is practically no bass, but the middle and high frequencies do not play as badly as for their value.
As for the price tag, it is similar to its predecessors. For example, you can currently get the Lenovo QT81 at a low price for just $19.99.
In ninth place on my list of wireless earbuds from the Lenovo brand, there was a QT82 model. You might think that the TWS version of the QT82 earbuds is an improved modification of the previous model, but in reality it is not.
These are completely different models in terms of their purpose and style of playing music. While the main feature in the QT81 model was the large battery capacity of the charging box, the new version of the QT82 uses a 400 mAh battery.
But the presence of the Type-C charging port remains the same, and this makes me happy. In addition, each earbud has a 40 mAh battery capacity and it can provide up to 5 hours of battery life.
According to the materials used in the Lenovo QT82 version, everything is standard – it is white or black glossy plastic. Sure, it looks nice, but only when new out of the box or wiped with a napkin. And so the matte plastic is very easily soiled and leaves many marks on the device case.
Again, I liked the IPX5 splash and water resistance. Compared to the QT81, the water resistance is slightly better. But this is not a complete protection against water and you cannot bathe or take a shower with earbuds.
The wearing comfort has become not as comfortable as the previous generation QT81, but the QT82 model cannot be called very comfortable either. For example, you can listen to music for about 2 hours without a break, but then your ears will ask you to rest. Do not forget that the new generation Lenovo QT82 has become in-ear earbuds with silicone ear tips.
The 13 mm dynamic driver is responsible for the sound quality, but I can’t call its work very good. I do not know why, but the sound quality was not the best, even if you compare the previous generation of QT81. At the same time, there were practically no low frequencies, including bass, and high ones had creaking sounds at the maximum volume level.
The manufacturer asks for the Lenovo QT82 model – 23.99 and for this price I would advise you to look at other options.
The last place on our list is occupied by the most favorite wireless earbuds that I liked the most – this is a model called the Lenovo XT90. Yes, it may not be perfect in everything, but it has a high-quality sound.
As with Lenovo’s QT82 model, the XT90 received a similar 13mm dynamic driver. But it is much better tuned than the QT82. For example, low frequencies were played with a pleasant and rich bass. In the meantime, the mids and highs were well tuned, with good detail in voices and musical instruments.
In terms of wearing comfort, I had no problems at all, despite the fact that the XT90 model has silicone ear tips. The weight of each earbud is 3.5 grams, which is very small compared to competitors or their predecessors. In addition, this model has IP54 protection against water.
The housing of the XT90 earbuds and charging box is made of glossy white or black plastic. Naturally, for me this is a disadvantage, since the wear resistance to the environment will be lower. Other than that, I can’t say anything good about the build quality.
On the other hand, I liked the game mode with minimal lag when playing games or watching videos on YouTube. Also, I can’t say anything negative about the touch controls, but volume control is not provided here.
But a serious drawback can be low battery life on a single charge. Since each earbud uses a 35 mAh battery, the battery life is up to 3 hours. But I am glad that the total battery life when using the charging box will be up to 20 hours.
I think you’ll also like the price tag of the Lenovo XT90 wireless earbuds, which was $ 17.99.
This concludes my top 10 list of wireless TWS earbuds. Now I think you can choose the right earbuds from Lenovo and if you had doubts before, now they will disappear.
