Ticwatch TicPods Pro wireless earbuds have become a hit in many countries and now the manufacturer has released the second generation called TicPods 2 Pro.
In this test, I will tell you about my impression of the flagship earbuds, namely the sound quality, basic functions and much more.
Now you can buy earbuds at a good price for just $118.15 with a 32% discount.
For this price, you get a pretty ergonomic design in the form of earbuds, like the Apple AirPods. In addition, the headphones received various functions, such as smart control gestures, quick commands, the flagship Qualcomm QCC5121 chip, support for aptX codec, and much more.
I will be very pleased to test the new generation of wireless earbuds and I will begin the review by unpacking.

TicPods 2 Pro: Unboxing
I received a standard-sized box for testing, on the front of which are earbuds with a charging case, the name of the model, and main features.
Inside the box, I am greeted by instruction in English with basic functions and features. Below is a charging box with earbuds inside, a Type-C port for charging and that’s all.
Since the headphones are built on the principle of the earbuds, the ear pads are not included and they are not intended for use. In general, the equipment looks premium and rich and fully corresponds to its value.
TicPods 2 Pro: Design
The new generation of wireless earbuds received a similar design as the first generation TicPods Pro. This is an accustomed form of liners for everyone, as on the Apple AirPods model.
There is still a difference between generations, namely, the TicPods 2 Pro headphones received a one-piece housing and it does not use silicone earpads, as it was in the first generation. Is this good or bad? I think everyone has their own point of view, but I think that earpads are better to use than without them.
The case is made of a combination of two materials – it is matte and glossy plastic. I have no complaints about the quality, all the gaps and elements are perfectly assembled, as it should be for flagship headphones.
Despite the fact that the earbuds do not have earpads, but they sit comfortably and comfortably in my ears. Even the long support time with TicPods 2 Pro did not cause me any discomfort. If we compare them with Apple AirPods of the 2nd generation, then the new TicPods got a slightly smaller size and this had a good effect on convenience.
On the front of the case, there is smart touch control and a hole for additional noise reduction. But the main microphone is located at the bottom of the TicPods 2 Pro.
On the inside there are three contact connections for quick charging and the channel designation is indicated directly on the sound guide itself. At the base of the sound guide, there is a protective mesh that prevents dust and debris from entering the housing.
The manufacturer indicates on its website that the second generation of TicPods is protected against water and splashes of IPX4 standard. Although, swimming or taking a shower in them is impossible.
The case of the charging box is made of matte pleasant plastic, where the lid has a pattern in the form of straight lines at an angle.
The lid got a magnetic connection, but when open it is a little flimsy. Inside the box, there are earbuds seats and there is a button for checking the battery level.
There are only two indicators and they are located on the front of the charging case. And on the back, there is a Type-C type charging port with fast charging.
Of course, given its cost over $100, I would like to see wireless charging in the case, but this function will not be here.
I left a double impression of the appearance, the earbuds received as well as positive, but also negative sides.
TicPods 2 Pro: Connection and Control
The connection is standard, as, with most wireless earbuds, it is Bluetooth with version 5.0. In addition, the headphones received the flagship Qualcomm QCC5121 processor and also support for aptX codec.
When connecting, I advise you to install the Mobvoi application, which will give you even more features and settings. For example, setting the equalizer, voice commands, gestures, and touch controls.
Also in the application, there is a translation function, a useful thing if you often travel abroad and you do not know the language.
For control, the second-generation TicPods 2 Pro earbuds have very wide potential. For example, volume control – it is necessary to sweep down – to increase or vice versa – to decrease. Double-tap – skip a track, accept or put a call. If you hold the touchpad for a few seconds calls the voice assistant.
Also, if you say “Hey Tico,” then call the voice assistant in the headphones themselves and thereby you can make any command, for example, play/pause, next/previous track or accept/hang up.
Additionally, there is a function of gestures of the head. For example, if you shake your head down and up, as if nodding, then you will answer an outgoing call, and there is a negative nod, that is, from left to right – then do not accept the call.
TicPods 2 Pro: Sound
The 13 mm moving coil driver is responsible for the sound quality. This is not quite a standard dynamic emitter, so the sound is quite atypical for its class.
After spending several days with the new generation of TicPods 2 Pro, I was left with positive emotions.
The low frequencies are well designed and have a very crystalline and clear sound, so every element of a musical instrument is heard clearly and clearly. But the bass is not as massive as that of Huawei FreeBuds 3, but the bass is balanced and has a very nice texture.
The mid and high frequencies received a very detailed sound, but at high volume, the headphones lose their purity. Therefore, I do not recommend listening at maximum volume, and there is no point in this since the volume is even 70% very impressive.
The quality of the microphone is decent and even with an additional noise-canceling microphone, you will have a positive impression of the sound quality. The interlocutors will hear you clearly and clearly, even in loud and noisy places.
TicPods 2 Pro: Battery
The new generation TicPods 2 Pro wireless earbuds received 30 mAh battery capacity, which is quite small for modern devices.
Therefore, it makes no sense to expect a good battery life, and as the practice has shown, the headphones worked for about 3.5 hours at maximum volume. Of course, this is not the best indicator, but as for its class – a typical result, even when compared with Apple AirPods Pro.
The charging time will be about 1.5 hours from the Type-C port, and the earbuds are equipped with fast charging and in 5 minutes of charge in the case, the headphones can work for 1 hour to listen to music.
TicPods 2 Pro: Conclusion and Reviews
Testing the new TicPods 2 Pro wireless earbuds turned out to be a very serious matter, as there are both positive and negative features.
As for the minuses, the new generation was not equipped with active noise reduction, like the model of Huawei FreeBuds 3, although the price is slightly higher than that of the TicPods 2 Pro. The sound quality at maximum volume is significantly degraded and the earbuds cannot work separately from each other.
Thanks to the large 13mm moving coil driver, the sound quality has good and surround sound at medium volume. In addition, I liked the very wide control settings, for example, head control gestures, voice commands and much more. Another bonus is a fast charge in 5 minutes will provide about 1 hour of listening to music.
TicPods 2 Pro: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now you can buy TicPods 2 Pro wireless earbuds at a bargain and good price for only $118.15 with a 32% discount in a different color combination, for example, white, black or pink.
Given its cost, technical stuffing, sound quality and ease of listening, I can recommend headphones for purchase.
