Teclast is a well-known Chinese company with its inexpensive tablets and laptops. From January 21 a new generation of budget laptop called Teclast F7 Plus will go on sale.
Today we have on the review of the latest generation F series from the company Teclast and in this article, we will look at all the features, improvements and disadvantages.
Teclast F7 Plus has a 14.0 inch IPS Full HD panel, an Intel Celeron Gemini Lake N4100 processor, which works in conjunction with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD internal memory. In this case, you can buy the F7 Plus at a good price of only $359.
Meanwhile, the new wave of Chinese laptops is spreading with the new Intel Gemini Lake N4100 processor. For example, the Chuwi LapBook SE laptop has quite similar specs and the same processor.
Let’s get into the detailed and full review of the new generation of Teclast F7 Plus laptop.
Teclast F7 Plus: Specifications
As can be seen from the technical specifications, the Teclast F7 Plus is a fairly typical entry-level laptop from Asian countries. I am glad that the battery capacity is higher than that of the LapBook SE, so Teclast will work a little longer without recharging.
|Teclast F7 Plus:||Specs|

I was also very surprised to see 8GB of RAM, and this is enough for multitasking or heavy applications.
Teclast F7 Plus: Design and Appearance
The price for the Teclast F7 Plus laptop does not exceed $ 330, but you get a metal case with a neutral design.
Also, you do not save on the case, because F7 Plus is made mainly of aluminum.
The lower part of the case and the back of the screen are made of aluminum, while the area around the keyboard and display is made of plastic. But you can forgive this compromise at the low price.
The laptop closes steadily and the display hinges make a good impression.
The screen is covered with a protective glass, and the picture is reflected from direct sunlight but provides improved contrast.
The frames around the screen are slightly thicker, which is not as modern as we would like to see in the trend of phones.
The sides of the frame are 8 mm each, and from the bottom and the top they are much more than about 2-3 cm. Also, modern design with minimal frames will have a higher price.
I would like to mention the size of the laptop, the F7 Plus got 331.0 x 220.0 x 14.9 mm and the weight is only 1.5 kg.
On the right side of the Teclast F7 Plus is a slot for a microSD card, a USB 3.0 port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
On the left side, we again see another USB 3.0 port, as well as a port for the power adapter and a mini HDMI.
It’s also nice to see that the Teclast F7 Plus keyboard with backlit. The same applies to the Teclast logo on the back panel, but this is quite overly pretentious.
It should be noted that the lower part of the case has a slot for M.2 hard drives. It can be easily opened by unscrewing the screw, so you have an additional opportunity to increase the amount of internal memory of the device.
Overall, the Teclast F7 Plus is a well-made laptop for its price, which does not stand out from the crowd. You can also look at the F7 Plus positively, as it does not contain any defects or unpleasant moments.
Teclast F7 Plus: Display
Teclast F7 Plus has a 14.0-inch diagonal with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels with IPS matrix technology.
It is also worth mentioning that the IPS panel is much better compared to TN screens, which are still used in such competitors as Jumper EzBook X4 and others.
The image quality on the F7 Plus is fairly balanced, as well as often found in budget notebooks.
The screen brightness is sufficient, and we did not notice any discomfort when used in the office or outdoors.
In addition, the color reproduction corresponds to real colors, as well as viewing angles and contrast are within the normal range.
We got the impression that Teclast integrated the best screens for the F7 Plus than the Chuwi on the LapBook SE or the Jumper on the EzBook X4. Therefore, in this category, I have nothing to complain.
Teclast F7 Plus: Hardware and Performance
Teclast F7 Plus runs under the operating system Windows 10 Home and comes with a factory based on the Intel Gemini Lake N4100 processor with quad cores and at a clock frequency of up to 2.4 GHz.
The laptop also works with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 graphics processor and 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB of SSD internal memory.
These specifications correspond to the entry-level laptop. You should not expect good performance for heavy games or programs.
Teclast F7 Plus laptop is well suited for simple work with documents, or for watching movies or videos in the 4K format on the Internet.
Yes, you can play games on the F7 Plus, but these will be simple games like Asphalt 9 or other games from the Microsoft Store. For most other games, you should consider more powerful equipment.
Let’s now look at a few synthetic tests and we will start with GeekBench 4. As you can see from the results below, the Teclast F7 Plus laptop received 1839 and 5436 points in the passed test.
Also in the tests of Fire Strike, the laptop scored 318 points. The PCMark 10 F7 Plus received 1544 points at the time of our review.
From the tests, you can see that the laptop is not approaching and is close to the gaming specs. This was to be expected for its price of $330.
I also wanted to say a few words about the internal memory of the device. Teclast F7 Plus bundled built-in 128GB SSD memory. If you compare competitors such as Chuwi or Jumper, then this is a good indicator in the amount of memory.
Also, SSD memory has a very fast memory transfer rate, compared to eMMC. Therefore, I have no complaints here, although for some users this memory will not be enough. Then I can offer two solutions to the problem.
The first option, as I wrote in the design section, the laptop has a memory slot on the right side for TF cards and a slot on the bottom side of the laptop for an M.2 hard drive.
The second option, you can use an external hard drive that can be connected via USB 3.0.
Teclast F7 Plus: Keyboard and Touchpad
Another important feature of the notebook is the combination of a keyboard and touchpad. Most budget notebook buyers want a quality keyboard and responsive touchpad control. Despite the low price of Teclast F7 Plus in the test, the keyboard works well and responsively.
In addition, when typing, the keys are quite pleasant and have special resistance, which is neither too strong nor too weak.
Also pleased with the backlight keyboard on the Teclast F7 Plus, which is very convenient to use a laptop even in complete darkness.
As in other models, the laptop uses a QWERTY keyboard with English letters.
The touchpad is large and can be used comfortably. They also have the support of special gestures in the Windows 10 operating system and multi-touch control. Therefore, here we also did not reveal any complaints or defects.
Teclast F7 Plus: Sound and Camera
It is also worth mentioning the internal speakers Teclast F7 Plus in our analisis. The laptop uses four speakers on the inside between the screen and the keyboard.
The speakers sound very hard but loud enough. Therefore, if you need a good and high-quality sound for watching movies or music, then it is better to use additional external speakers or headphones.
The webcam combines good microphone and video quality for Skype calls. Also with Microsoft Cortana, you can do without an additional headset.
In general, according to our experience in everyday life, Teclast F7 Plus gives you what you pay for, maybe even more.
Teclast F7 Plus: Battery
Teclast uses a good 6500 mAh battery capacity for the F7 Plus laptop.
Although you can say that some smartphones use even more battery capacity, but with autonomy up to 7 hours this will be enough with average use.
In our test, we worked on the Internet, worked on documents in Office, and watched videos on YouTube between work at 60% brightness. Of course, you can achieve even better battery life results Teclast F7 Plus if you reduce the brightness to a minimum.
Teclast F7 Plus: Conclusions and Reviews
In our review about Teclast F7 Plus, I want to share my opinion that the new generation of the Chinese laptop F7 Plus is intended for an initial level of use for a good and adequate price.
The design and workmanship, as well as a Full HD 1080p screen, is clearly above average for this segment.
The operating system Windows 10 Home has multilingual and others language as well.
This laptop is well suited for common office and multimedia tasks.
In terms of price, you can blame only a few flaws in the Teclast F7 Plus laptop. Such as the lack of other language letters option on the keyboard and sound quality. Everything else corresponds to its price.
Also, a compact and lightweight Teclast F7 Plus laptop can be a good travel companion.
Teclast F7 Plus: Price and where to buy cheaper?
Currently, a promotion offer is being held from January 21 to 26, you can buy a Teclast F7 Plus laptop for only $359.99 with a good discount of 21%.
