The main features of the new Galaxy A51 model can be attributed to this a modern and stylish appearance with large screens and a hole punch display for the front camera, or as the Infinity-O screen is also called. According to the filling, the device received a proprietary processor of its own production with the name Exynos 9611, 6/128 GB of memory, a 48-megapixel main module and a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh.

I think that for many users, the new generation will be one of the best choices in the middle class of smartphones. But before making final conclusions, I suggest starting our acquaintance with appearance.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Design

Despite the fact that the new device from Samsung belongs to the middle class, but the body is made of high-quality plastic. Of course, you can say that even budget models in the Redmi lineup have a glass case, but I would not criticize the plastic very much. Since glass has its drawbacks, for example, it strongly leaves fingerprints and is easier to break than the same plastic.

In terms of build quality, I have no complaints at all about the new Galaxy A51. The case is assembled efficiently and I did not find any squeaks or other unpleasant moments.

The back panel, as I said, is made of plastic, and, of course, the front is glass. The main camera received a very similar design as the Honor V30, only it has four sensors and an LED flash. Recently, the trend of a square module has begun to shift into a rectangle.

Personally, my opinion is that I like this solution, it looks fashionable and stylish, it also goes well with various color schemes. As for the flowers, there are also a lot of them and you can choose, such as white, pink, black and turquoise.

As you can see, on the rear panel, except for the camera modules, there is nothing else, but the fingerprint scanner is located under the screen of the smartphone. Yes, yes, you can say that this is the most convenient place, but as the practice has shown, under the screen scanner it does not work as fast as on the rear panel or on the side of the case.

As for me, it’s better to configure the face recognition lock, as it works fast in the daytime and satisfactorily in the night.

The front has a large screen with dimensions of 6.5 inches with Full HD + resolution or 1080 x 2400 pixels. The frames around the screen are very small and even on the bottom, so the useful screen area on the front is about 87.4%. In fact, this is a very good result, given the competitors, they have this value an order of magnitude less.

The aspect ratio was 20: 9 and the pixel density per inch was approximately 405 ppi. You noticed that each manufacturer with a new generation increases the aspect ratio and already 20: 9 will become a familiar figure, as it was 18: 9.

Of course, Samsung has Super AMOLED screen technology, so I found no problems with color reproduction. Also, the contrast is very high and the brightness level will allow you to read any information from the phone screen even indirect light.

The control buttons are located in the usual place on the right side – this is the power button and volume rocker.

The tray for the SIM card and memory card is full, so I had no compromises and this is good.

The bottom of the case of the Samsung Galaxy A51 received a Type-C port, the main microphone, a speaker and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Of course, for me, and for many users, the audio jack for headphones will not be superfluous.

In size, the smartphone lies well in the hand, it does not slip in the hands, as in the example, glass. In numbers, the device has 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 172 grams.

I liked the look of the new Galaxy A51, especially, the iridescent white color looks interesting, the new hole punch for the front cam or Infinity-O screen looks several times better than the waterdrop notch. Also, it does not interfere or distract during use with everyday tasks.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Performance and Software

The new generation of the Galaxy A series introduced its own processor called Exynos 9611. It runs on 10-nanometer technology and has four Cortex-A73 cores with a frequency of 2.3 GHz and an additional four Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of 1.7 GHz. This processor has proven itself well and can be found in smartphones such as the Galaxy M30s and Galaxy A50s.

The benchmark test results are comparable to Snapdragon 712.

The Mali-G72 MP3 is responsible for the graphics, which shows good results in heavy games, for example in PUBG Mobile or other games, but naturally, with average graphics settings.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A51 has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. A memory card slot up to 512 GB is also available. Therefore, as for me, there were no problems with the amount of memory; it is enough here for everyday tasks.

Naturally, the Galaxy A51 model can be said to be officially sold already in 2020, so it has the latest version of the Android 10.0 operating system with the One UI 2.0 user interface.

The smartphone works very quickly and quickly, during testing, I did not find any problems with delays or other troubles.

Functionality and control are very wide. In addition, the multi-functional band can be attributed to the latest version of iOS devices. My personal opinion is a good solution, since managing a smartphone with one movement is very simple and easy.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Camera

The main camera is based on a 48-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, the second sensor has a 12-megapixel module with f/2.2 aperture for ultra-wide shots.

The third and fourth sensors have a resolution of 5 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.4 and f/2.2, respectively, where the third is for macro photography and the fourth for bokeh.

The selfie camera was equipped with a high resolution of 32 megapixels, so photos for selfie lovers will be very good.

Below I will leave an album with photos and you can compare the results of the pictures.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Battery

The battery life on a single charge surprised me, as the Samsung Galaxy A51 has good user interface optimization, low power consumption thanks to the processor and AMOLED screen.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Hands-On: Infinity-O & 48 Megapixel Camera

In general, with an average use of the Galaxy A51, it will work stably for about 2 days, as it has 4000 mAh battery capacity.

But the charging time is not very fast, from the packaging I received a 15 W power adapter. Currently, this value is very small and when compared with models from Xiaomi and Huawei devices, where they have from 27 to 40 W adapter. A full charge will be approximately 2 hours.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Conclusions and Reviews

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy A51 smartphone is worth its attention, since it has good technical stuffing. But whether the new model will be able to compete with devices from Redmi or Honor, I think so.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Hands-On: Infinity-O & 48 Megapixel Camera

Of course, the new smartphone has its drawbacks, I can attribute them to them, the slow operation of the fingerprint scanner, the quality of the photos at night does not look as clean and detailed as in the daytime and charging time is not the fastest in its class.

But there are many more pluses than minuses. For example, in the Samsung Galaxy A51, I liked the look and build quality, even despite the plastic case.

In addition, the hole-punch display for the front camera looks several times better than the waterdrop notch. UI optimization is much better than Xiaomi devices, but it has the same level as Huawei. The battery life on a single charge will allow you to use the device for several days even at maximum loads.

Samsung Galaxy A51: Price and Where to buy cheaper?

The official sale will begin on December 27 in Vietnam, but the pre-sale began on December 16. The prices for the Samsung Galaxy A51 start at $340.

Of course, the price is not small, but taking into account the appearance and technical features, the new Galaxy A51 smartphone will have good chances to conquer the middle-class smartphone market.
