After a successful collaboration between Realme and Dizo. The manufacturers decided to present a completely new and interesting model of wireless earbuds called Dizo GoPods.
I previously tested a budget version of TWS earbuds called Dizo GoPods D, which cost only $19. Today I have a slightly different version of the earbuds.
Therefore, if you want to know what the new version of Dizo wireless earbuds is capable of now, I suggest you read the full and in-depth review. Also in this article I will tell you about my emotions while wearing, about sound and microphone, and other aspects.
As for the cost, the new version of the earbuds received a price tag almost twice as high as that of the first generation. For example, at the time of this writing, the price of Dizo GoPods was only $35. From this I can say that these are mid-budget earbuds.
At the same time, if you look at the main features of TWS earbuds, you can be a little surprised. Dizo GoPods have various features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode. In addition, the device was equipped with the Bluetooth 5.2 version and had a game mode.
In addition, I can also attribute other features, for example, the presence of protection against water and splashes under the IPX5 standard. Also, the manufacturer guarantees a comfortable fit with comfortable wearing. Another 10 mm driver stands out with more functionality in another application.
Thus, I offer all the strengths and weaknesses of the new generation of TWS earbuds from Dizo. And at the beginning of my story, I plan to talk about the appearance and equipment.

Unboxing and packaging
Dizo GoPods came to my review in a small square package. It was made of white and rather thick cardboard, where on the front you can see a drawing of a charging box with earbuds. Also here are the main features of the device with its model and company name. The back of the package contains information about the company and its location.
Since the packaging itself was made of thick cardboard material, I had no problems with transportation. All internal components arrived intact and without any damage. Now let’s open the package and see what awaits me inside.
Here I am met by a charging box with earbuds inside, there is also a set of silicone ear tips under the plastic partition. The package also includes a Type-C charging cable and instructions for use. In general, not everything is as bad as for budget wireless earbuds with a price tag of $35.
Design, workmanship and materials
The new generation of Dizo GoPods earbuds doesn’t remind you of almost one of the latest generations of earbuds from the realme brand? In fact, the design of the GoPods remains completely similar to the realme Buds Air 2 device model, isn’t it? It’s not that bad as I really liked the look of the realme brand earbuds. But the bonus from Dizo is the low price tag compared to products from the realme brand.
The Dizo GoPods are delivered in two colors – gray and white. In my review, the device was in white, but in addition to white, there was also a combination of black. I also want to note that the white was not completely white, but it looked like a milky one and it definitely looked good.
As for the quality of workmanship, the new model of Dizo earbuds did not cause any particular complaints about the assembly. All components were assembled well and I did not identify any extraneous sounds and squeaks while wearing them. In addition, the device has received protection from water under the IPX5 standard. Of course, this is not the most powerful protection against water, but you can not be afraid of heavy rain or sweat.
But the plastic used did not cause me very positive emotions. Since wireless earbuds were made mostly of glossy plastic. As you can guess, during my testing, even after several days of use, micro scratches and abrasions can be easily detected on glossy plastic. Matte plastic was also present on the board of the GoPods device and it was used on the bottom of the leg and on the sound tube itself.
In terms of wearing comfort, I had no major problems. For example, with the right size of ear tips, I could wear the earbuds for a very long time. Even though the Dizo GoPods were made like vacuum plugs, they did not bring much discomfort and fatigue to my ears, as is usually the case. Besides, I could easily play sports. Even while running, I did not have the feeling that they would fall out of the auricle. In addition, the weight of one earbud with ear tips was only 4 grams.
On the outside of the case of the Dizo GoPods device, there is touch control with multifunctional features. Also on the bottom of the leg, there are two charging contacts with a microphone hole. Meanwhile, there is a protective mesh on the sound guide under the silicone ear tips, which will protect the device from dust and other dirt. There is also a proximity sensor for the automatic pause function when you remove one of the earbuds from the ear canal.
If we talk about the charging box, then it also received glossy plastic, like the earbuds themselves. On the front of the device, there is a company name with an LED indicator. But on the right side of the case, you can find a button for the first pairing or reset. At the bottom there is a Type-C connection for charging the box. At the same time, no other charging methods were brought in.
The workmanship was not the best, as there was a gap in any position of the lid, but it was insignificant. The weight of the case without earbuds was 34 grams, and its dimensions were 60 x 57 x 24 mm. So you can effortlessly put the charging box in your jeans pocket. Okay, I figured out the appearance and main design features. Now I propose to talk about the connection method and the main features of the device.
Connection, latency and touch control
Dizo GoPods wireless earbuds connected to my mobile smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2 version. Since this is the most recent generation of wireless connection, I have not had any serious problems with latency or interruptions in the transmission of communications. In addition, the earbuds worked with the SBC audio codec, there were no other codecs onboard the earbuds.
Through the realme Link App, you can adjust three music sound modes. You will also have the opportunity to find out the battery level, both in the earbuds and in the charging case. In addition, the mobile application can change the touch control functions and activate the game mode. Also, through the application, you can turn off the proximity sensor function, which is very good.
If we talk about the level of latency, then using the game mode, the latency was minimal. Yes, the manufacturer says about 88 ms, but in fact, the latency in games was about 150-220 ms. At the same time, even this value of the delay is not particularly noticeable to my ears, and therefore it was a pleasure to play shooters. The same goes for the delay when watching videos on YouTube.
Ok, now let’s talk about the main functions of touch controls.
- A double tap will play, pause, accept or reject a call.
- Triple-tap switches tracks forward or backward depending on the taper.
- Holding it for a few seconds switches from normal mode to active noise canceling or transparency mode.
Sound and microphone quality
Each Dizo GoPods has a 10mm dynamic driver with good volume headroom, as for inexpensive wireless earbuds. In addition, it was problematic for me to listen to music at 100% volume level, so the most optimal value would be about 70%.
Also, given that GoPods earbuds are in-ear plugs, it will be difficult to expect high-quality high frequencies here. From a practical point of view, the earbuds showed themselves not on the most positive side when it comes to high frequencies.
But at the same time, I had no special remarks about low frequencies. The bass in Dizo GoPods earbuds plays very dynamically and balanced. In general, the sound, low frequencies will not cause you much disappointment.
If we talk about the active noise canceling function, then this feature is there, but I cannot call it ideal. Considering that the earbuds have a price tag of only $35, the presence of this function already speaks for itself. I can say the same about the transparency mode. Although there is a function here, I cannot call it ideal.
As for the work of the microphones, here I had no particular complaints. For example, in quiet places, my interlocutors heard me quite clearly and without any questions. But in noisy places, the surrounding sounds were blocked, but not as effectively. Although my interlocutors heard me quite clearly and we had no problems with understanding.
Battery and run time
The capacity of the rechargeable battery in the Dizo GoPods earbuds is completely similar to the capacity of the realme Buds Air 2 earbuds. It is a 30 mAh battery in the earbuds and 400 mAh of the capacity of the charging box.
In practice, the earbuds worked at maximum volume for about 5 hours, as the manufacturer Dizo assures. But if you use the transparency mode or the active noise canceling function, then the battery life will be reduced by about 1 hour. Also, using the charging box, you can recharge the earbuds three times and the total battery life will be up to 24 hours.
In addition, there is fast charging of the earbuds and in 10 minutes of charge, the device is gaining about 20%. This corresponds to 2 hours of music playback at 50% volume. In addition, a full charge of the earbuds was about 1.5 hours, and the charging case was about 2 hours through a Type-C connection.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
The second generation of Dizo GoPods wireless earbuds turned out to be a complete copy of the big brother from the realme brand, but only with a more acceptable price.
The device has received many interesting features, both in terms of its functionality and ease of landing. For example, I liked the presence of active noise canceling and transparency mode. But I didn’t like the quality of their work.
In addition, the earbuds fit well in my ear canal and at the same time I did not feel very tired during my use. Also TWS earbuds stand out for their good performance and good functionality of the touch panel. The battery life will definitely delight the future user.
On the downside, I can attribute it, of course, to the glossy easily soiled case, on which traces of use and micro scratches remain.
