On the front part, you can see the name of the model and a picture of the earbuds. The back of the box received the main features. I can refer to them – this is a Bluetooth 5.0 connection, a 13.4 mm driver and a touchpad with gesture control.

Inside the box, I am greeted with instructions for use, a charging case with earbuds inside, three pairs of ear tips and a Type-C charging cable.

I already liked the wireless earbuds as soon as I opened the box and saw decent accessories. For example, the Type-C port and the availability of special silicone ear tips are already a good start. Now let’s look at the build quality and materials used.

OPPO Enco Free: Design

The new OPPO Enco Free earbuds will be a worthy replacement for Apple AirPods, like the appearance, size and build quality are up to par.

The manufacturer offers several color options – white, black, and pink. I ordered in black for myself, as it seemed more balanced.

Enco Free earbuds are made of matte plastic that does not leave fingerprints and is more durable than glossy plastic. I can also note the exact connection of all components.

I can also say that while wearing and I did not feel any discomfort. Even after 2-3 hours of listening to music, my ears did not hurt.

Of course, I liked the silicone special ear tips. They are intended for sports and not only since the sound is not lost in them and you can listen to your music with good bass. But we’ll talk about sound quality a bit later.

The manufacturer guarantees protection against IPX4 water. Therefore, light rain or sweat can not be afraid, but heavy rain should be avoided. Protection applies only to earbuds, but the charging box does not have any protection from water.

On the front part, there is a touch panel with swipe controls. Another advantage of this panel is that I can control the earbuds even through the hat in the winter season. The touch panel has a precise touch and no false clicks.

At the bottom of the leg, there are charging contacts and a hole for the microphone.

The charging case has slightly larger dimensions than the AirPods. It is also made of matte plastic, where on the front there is a metal plate with the company name OPPO. Also, this plate has an LED indicator of the charge level.

On the right side has a mechanical button to activate pairing. The lower part of the charging case received a Type-C port connector.

The lid opens easily thanks to the magnetic connection, but the earbuds do not fall out of the seats during shaking.

Definitely, I was pleased with the new model of wireless earbuds. In terms of design, build quality, materials used and even a comfortable fit in the ear canal – they are ideal.

OPPO Enco Free: Connection and Control

Naturally, OPPO Enco Free earbuds are connected via Bluetooth 5.0 and have AAC and SBC audio codecs. During testing, I did not find any freezes and the connection quality was impeccable.

The Enco Free model connects to a mobile device simply and can be used both in pairs or separately. The first connection will take you no more than one minute, and further pairing will be instantly fast.

Touch control has all the possible functions. For example, play/pause, answer/hang up, swipe volume level, switch tracks and call voice assistant.

OPPO Enco Free: Sound

The sound is answered by a 13.4 mm dynamic driver in each earbud. Due to the presence of interchangeable ear tips, the sound quality is at a pretty good level.

The low frequencies are filled with medium bass and they sound voluminous and harmonious. Although, when compared with AirPods Pro or FreeBuds 3, the low ones do not reach the OPPO Enco Free.

The mid and high frequencies are well balanced and have a nice crystal clear sound. At maximum volume, high frequencies do not merge into porridge and do not cause a strong hiss.

Of the minuses, I can note that this is the absence of active noise reduction, like AirPods Pro or FreeBuds 3. But do not forget that the price is almost $50 less than Enco Free.

The microphone quality is not the best, but the interlocutor will hear you clearly, both in a quiet and in a noisy place.

OPPO Enco Free: Battery

I checked the autonomy of work with the paired OnePlus 7T smartphone. After several tests, I was surprised by the results.

OPPO Enco Free: TWS with 13.4mm Dynamic Drivers and Bluetooth 5.0

OPPO Enco Free wireless earbuds lasted about 6 hours at 80% volume level. This figure is much higher than the manufacturer claims and what is the reason for this? I can’t answer.

Each Enco Free earbud has a 31 mAh battery, and the charging case has a 410 mAh battery. The total battery life can reach up to 20 hours thanks to several recharges through the charging box.

The charging time via Type-C port will be about 1.5 hours. But the case does not have wireless charging.

OPPO Enco Free: Conclusion and Reviews

The OPPO Enco Free wireless earbuds left a positive impression on me.

Given their price of $90, the earbuds received a harmonious design, cool touch controls, good battery life, and fairly deep bass.

Of the minuses, I can note – this is the lack of active noise reduction and wireless charging.

Now you can purchase OPPO Enco Free at a bargain price for $92.54 with a 31% discount.

Definitely, I recommend earbuds for purchase, as they have high-quality and pleasant sound with good technical features.
