Nintendo: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with sales record and first Zelda-DLC

The first weekend is behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the game is already a great success for Nintendo, although it is a new edition.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Sales

Nintendo was able to sell more than 459,000 copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the launch day. The game is thus the most successful Mario Kart when it comes to the first sale day. So far, the Wii version of Mario Kart has claimed this place for itself, this has sold 433,900 times the first day. And these are just the numbers for the US market; Nintendo has sold more copies worldwide.

But Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is also an excellent game and in my opinion, a must-buy for the Nintendo Switch. You can argue about the price of 60 euros for a new edition of an already known game (Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U), but the switch buyers do not see this so critically.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by the way also on Amazon a bestseller and was sold out there for a few days as a physical copy. Currently, you can order the game again (via Prime). The game costs at Amazon 58.99 euro, alternatively there is also a download code, with which you can play it immediately.

Breath of the Wild “The Master Trials” DLC

Nintendo had already announced the market launch of the switch that one plans for the new Zelda two DLC packages. The first will appear in the summer and the second to the end of the year. The second pack will include a new story for Link. But also the first DLC is quite interesting and Nintendo has now the official details for the big update betrayed.

Both DLC packs together cost 20 euros. We do not have yet a date for the first pack, but this should probably call Nintendo soon.

The first expansion pass will include the Trail of the Sword. Here you have to master 45 rooms, then your Master Sword always shines. Also, there is also a new difficulty level and many new costumes. The details of the DLC 1 are available at Nintendo. Also new: A mode that shows you the distance traveled. It will look like that:
