I very often started testing wireless earbuds from Mpow. The maker decided to make a strong jump in his products. Today, I have on the test quite enticing earbuds called Mpow X3.
Earlier, I already tested various models of wireless earbuds from the Mpow brand, and here you can familiarize yourself with my tests.
I was very surprised by the price tag for the new Mpow X3 model, which amounted to about $45.
In addition to the price, I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of active noise canceling, which can be found in high-end earbuds starting at a price tag of $150. In addition, I can include such interesting features as a 10 mm dynamic driver, Type-C charging port, a high battery life indicator, and much more.
Let’s find out how the new earbuds from Mpow sound and how the active noise canceling ANC works in real life.
Mpow X3: Specifications
|Driver unit:||10mm Dynamic Drivers|
|Charging Time:||120 min|
I got a box of a typical sample, like previous models of headphones. It looks black and red, where on the front there is a picture of earbuds and the name of the model.
Inside the box, I found a charging box with earbuds, which was packed in protective foam. Also included is a Type-C cable, a set of silicone ear tips, and a user manual.
The equipment is at a high level and given its low price, I am very pleased with the presence of Type-C cable.
The appearance of the Mpow X3 TWS earbuds resembles the standard design of Apple AirPods. Only in the X3 model, there are silicone ear tips that make the sound more saturated and dense while listening.
The headphones are made of matte black plastic, which looks good but is also more practical. The build quality is at a high level, here I did not find any creaks or other annoying sounds.
If we talk about wearing comfort, then I have no complaints. I could spend hours listening to music, talking through a microphone, and watching movies and my ears did not feel any discomfort.
On the front of the headphone housing, there is a recess, which is designed for touch control. In addition, here you can find an LED indicator and a hole for an additional microphone.
At the bottom, there are charging contacts and the main microphone for phone calls.
The inside of the earbuds received a regular-shaped sound guide with silicone ear cushion and also a label with a channel designation.
I was pleasantly surprised about the availability of water protection standard IPX7. The earbuds are not afraid of heavy rain and not prolonged immersion in water. But I will not recommend earbuds often wet in water.
The charging box is made of matte plastic and in the end you can see the recesses. I have no questions about build quality. The lid opens easily and does not play, which is good news.
Inside the case, in addition to the earbud seats, there are also three LED indicators that indicate the remaining battery level.
At the bottom, there is a Type-C format port. The presence of wireless charging is out of the question since the price is about $45.
After examining the appearance of the Mpow X3, I was left with a positive impression both in terms of build quality and wearing comfort.
Connection and Control
Currently, you will not be surprised at the presence of a Bluetooth wireless connection with version 5.0. Pairing the Mpow X3 earbud with a smartphone is very simple and I won’t stop there. But I would like to talk about signal quality and delay.
During testing, the signal was always stable within a radius of 10 meters from the source. The small delays are present, but they are negligible. For example, you can watch videos on Youtube and play games without any problems.
Touch control has received all the possible functions on the Mpow X3. There are even a volume control function and activation of active noise cancellation ANC. These features can rarely be found in budget headphones.
Now I want to talk about the most interesting – this is the sound quality. Of course, not the biggest driver is installed inside the case, as for its class, but a 10 mm driver will be enough to listen to music.
The low frequencies have good and dense bass, while mid and high have clear sound with a pleasant vocalist voice. The sound quality of the Mpow X3 sounds good, but I can’t compare the sound with the standard AirPods wireless earbuds since it does not have silicone ear tips.
Compared with other competitors, the sound is not bad and I did not notice annoying moments.
Another interesting feature is the active noise canceling. The function ANC does not work perfectly, like most top brands like Apple, Sony, and others. For example, I noticed that third-party noise is not completely isolated, but by 80-90%.
Despite this, the ANC function will definitely be useful, even if it does not work perfectly.
The positive side for me was the quality of the microphone. I could calmly talk even in noisy places and the interlocutor heard me well.
Each Mpow X3 earbud is able to work on one charge level for about 7 hours with the ANC function disabled, and if you constantly use ANC, the battery life will be about 6 hours.
The charging case will provide an additional 20 hours of work, that is, about 3 charges of earbuds.
The charging time via Type-C connection will take about 2 hours of your time.
Conclusion and Reviews
TWS Mpow X3 TWS earbuds are the first device to use active noise canceling with a budget of up to $50.
In addition, the earbuds received a large number of pleasant moments. For example, this is a comfortable fit, IPX7 water protection, high-quality sound and microphone, good working battery life, and multi-functional touch control.
On the downside, I can relate that this is not an ideal ANC function and I haven’t found any other flaws.
Low price and Where to buy cheaper?
If you are interested in this model of earbuds, then you can buy Mpow X3 at a low price for only $45.49 with a 50% discount.
Without any doubt, this TWS earbuds have become an amazing discovery for me, which I can recommend to buy with a pure soul.
