Today it is difficult for any manufacturer to compete with brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, Amazfit, and others. But Mobvoi is keeping up with its rivals and has produced a rather tempting version of the smart fitness watch called the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH.
In this review, you can find out the main features, functions, and management of the fitness watch, as well as I will tell you about the mobile application and its options. In addition, if you are looking to purchase a new watch from the Mobvoi brand, then you should definitely read this full review before buying it.
In terms of price, the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH is currently priced at $95. This is not the cheapest model I have been able to test. Therefore, I can refer to its main competitors like Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite or Redmi Watch. Although even devices from Xiaomi and Amazfit will cost you a little less than Mobvoi asks.
If you look at the main features, then the Ticwatch GTH version of the smartwatch stands out with a 1.55 TFT screen, metal case, and 5ATM water resistance. In addition, the watch has a decent list of features. For example, this sensor detects body temperature, heart rate, stress, custom watch faces, and much more.
Okay, now let’s find out if the new smartwatch model from the Mobvoi brand outperforms its competitors? And in general, is this smartwatch worth your attention or not. Thus, I plan to start my full and in-depth review of bundling and packaging.

Unboxing and packaging
The Ticwatch GTH smartwatch comes in small black packaging. A drawing of the device is drawn on the front of the box, and the name of the model is located just below.
In the meantime, there is a list of technical specifications on the back of the package. For example, this is 7-10 days of working time, 5 ATM protection against water, 14 sports training and much more.
Inside the package itself, I found components such as instructions for use, a two-pin charging cable, and, directly, the smartwatch itself.
In general, the equipment was very poor, and given its cost, I would like to get a premium appearance. For example, Edifier did it with Unibuds wireless earbuds.
Design, build quality and materials
The new Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH is positioning itself as an everyday device, but with not simple functionality. Therefore, let’s first analyze how well the watch is assembled and will it be so comfortable to wear in real life?
The case of smartwatches from the Mobvoi brand was made of an alloy of various metals. In addition, the body is almost monolithic. Also, the side and back panels use metal in their combination.
It is a really sturdy device in its construction. For example, during my testing, I did not find a single squeak at all and all the gaps were perfectly executed. It is also worth mentioning that a 2.5D curved protective glass is located on the front of the device. In addition, the watch received full protection from water under the 5 ATM standard.
If we talk about design in general, then I cannot single out any special moments. Yes, maybe Mobvoi didn’t want to move away from simplicity and minimalism. But I would like to get some uniqueness so that in appearance people can say that you have a watch from the Mobvoi brand, and not from Xiaomi or Amazfit.
As you can see, the watch case is made in a square shape and a 1.55-inch TFT screen is located on the front of the device. The screen resolution was 360 x 320 pixels.
In terms of brightness, I didn’t have much of an issue with outdoor readability. The viewing angles were also pretty good, but I can’t call the screen perfect. For a price of almost $100, you can buy a watch with an AMOLED screen, which is many times better than a TFT matrix.
There is one mechanical button on the side of the case of the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH smartwatch. It performs the function of turning on and running back. But on the back, there is an optical heart rate sensor, a metal plate for measuring body temperature, and a two-pin connection for charging.
The strap itself is removable and is 20 mm wide. Thus, if necessary, you can easily change it to any other option. Although the supplied strap is of pretty good quality and the watch fit very well on my wrist.
I would also like to say about the dimensions, they are 43.2 x 35.2 x 10.5 mm, and the watch weighs about 47 grams. The Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH smartwatch really sat on my wrist without any problems and I did not feel any discomfort at all. Okay, I figured out the appearance, but let’s check the main functions and features.
Functions, features, and mobile app
The new watch model Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH is built on the simplest operating system. This user interface showed itself on the positive side since all functions were flipped quickly and without any problems.
The home screen has many different watch face styles that you can change and customize to your liking. If you hold down the main screen for a few seconds, you will get to the menu of various watch faces. In fact, these are very simple types of watch faces and maybe someone will like them, but not me. I would like to get a watch face with a wider list of functions and features.
Okay, now about the control, it is simple here and very similar to any other fitness watch of the same class. For example, when you swipe up, you are taken to the recent notifications menu. If you swipe left or right, you can see useful widgets. These are activities throughout the day, calories, distance, and steps. There are also widgets for sleep, weather, sport modes, body temperature, SpO2, and heart rate.
At the same time, if you swipe down from the main screen of the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH, you can see the quick settings section. There are sections such as do not disturb mode, power-saving mode, vibration mode, flashlight, brightness level, and settings. Well, in the settings of the Ticwatch GTH smartwatch, I found such sections as adjusting the screen brightness level, rebooting, shutting down, and information about the watch.
To enter the main menu with all functions, you must press the button on the right side of the device. Here you will be able to see sections such as Notifications, TicExercise, TicHealth, TicSleep, Timer, Stopwatch, Weather, Music Player, and Settings.
Now let’s talk about some of the features in more detail. First, I want to test the performance of the sport modes. In total, I counted 14 different types of sports training. But there is no built-in GPS module onboard the device and this can be a big problem for many users. Although I cannot say that the hours work very poorly during sports.
Next, let’s check the work of all health sensors. I will measure the indicators with a special medical device and a watch. The heart rate result on the watch showed a value of about 75 beats per minute, and the oxygen level in the blood was 99%. Meanwhile, the heart rate on the medical device showed a result of about 79 beats per minute of the heart rate, and the SpO2 value was 91%. The watch measured my body temperature at 36.5 degrees.
I would also like to point out that the $100 smartwatch did not receive features such as Bluetooth calling and built-in memory. Therefore, you will not be able to hear music through the watch, but only control it through your smartphone. Also, you will not be able to answer or call through the watch and this is a pretty strong drawback for me.
As for the mobile application, it received absolutely the same functionality as most mobile applications of other fitness watch models. The main menu of the application displays indicators such as steps, distance, sleep, heart rate, and others. In the settings, there are sections such as the choice of watch faces, the notification settings, the choice of reminders, and much more.
Battery and run time
A 260 mAh battery is installed inside the case of the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH smartwatch and the manufacturer promises about 8-10 days of active use.
But during my testing, the clock worked for 6 days. This is also not a bad result, as for a smartwatch, and you will not need to charge the watch every day.
However, do not forget that the watch did not receive modern functions, and even onboard the device there is no GPS module. Therefore, the energy consumption of the watch will not be very significant.
Of course, the charging time via the dual-pin connection was about 1.5 hours and there is no fast charging on the Ticwatch GTH.
Conclusion, reviews, pros, and cons
I do not want to say that the Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH smartwatch was a bad device for me. For example, during my testing, I liked the user interface and the speed of all features.
I can also attribute to the positive aspects – it is a high-quality assembly and used material. The compact size and lightweight will allow you to comfortably wear the watch all day and even sleep with it.
I also liked the presence of features such as SpO2 and a body temperature sensor. An important feature is a full protection from 5 ATM water and good battery life.
On the downside, I can attribute it to simple functionality, since the watch did not receive Bluetooth calls, GPS module, and built-in memory for music with headphones connected.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
The Mobvoi Ticwatch GTH smartwatch is currently priced at $95.99 with a 30% discount. But I think that this price tag is a little too high, so I cannot recommend this watch model.
Although, if the price drops to $70, then I would choose a new watch model from Mobvoi. Also, I will leave a list of the main competitors, which are much cheaper and have similar functions and features.
