Today I have a very interesting copy of wireless over-ear headphones from Mixcder on the review. This is a Chinese brand that first fell into my hands and I want to tell my impression after a week of using this headphone model called Mixcder E10.
Prior to the E10 model, the company also produced previous generations such as E7, E8, and E9. Therefore, I can’t say that the manufacturer is new to the market.
In terms of the price range, Mixcder E10 over-ear headphones will cost you about $ 70 and whether the price will be justified by its price, I will say at the end of the review.
In terms of functionality, the over-ear headphones from Mixcder received a very nice and high-quality appearance with support for the aptX codec, ANC active noise canceling, the frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz and a built-in battery up to 500 mAh.
According to the technical features, the headphones do not stand out, but let’s look at them in more detail in our test.
Mixcder E10: Specifications
|Driver unit:||40mm drivers|
|Bluetooth protocol:||aptX, ACC|
|Charging Time:||120 min|
Mixcder E10: Unboxing
The E10 headphone model came to my review in a rather large dark box, where on the front you can see the name of the model and company, also in the center, there is a sketch of the headphones.
On the side faces I see the main features and functions, and on the back surface are technical specifications in various languages.
Inside the box, I found a protective portable case in which the rest of the components are located. Here I found, directly, the headphones themselves, instructions in various languages, also a MicroUSB cable, AUX cable from 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm.
Without further ado, I was a little disappointed with the presence of a micro USB cable, but the headphones received a rather capacitive battery, so you will not be able to charge the device very often. But in the future, I think that Mixcder will reconsider its decision with the switch to Type-C cable.
Mixcder E10: Design
I want to immediately note that the headphones are really full-sized and the ear pads completely cover my ear. They are very comfortable listening to music or watching movies, and most importantly, their ears do not sweat when worn.
Mixcder E10 is made of high-quality materials, it is based almost everywhere on metal, so the over-ear headphones feel good on the head.
The design is well-fitted and the headphones do not hang out but stick together with your head.
The earpads and the upper soft part are made of high-quality leatherette and it really feels better than even branded and top manufacturers, for example, Sony.
On the inside of the ear pads, you can see signs of the channel, and the outside has an interesting texture. It looks nice and the headphones look attractive.
On the right earphone are all the control buttons and there are four in total.
One of them is inclusion and also serves as a play/pause. The second and third are for switching tracks and adjusting volume. The latter is needed to activate ANC noise canceling.
In addition to the buttons, there are also two LED indicators that indicate the on or pairing mode, and the other for the ANC function. A 3.5 mm jack is also located on the right side and there is still a microphone hole.
The left side of the headphones has a micro USB port for charging and an LED indicator, so a 500 mAh battery is located in the left channel.
For ease of use, the over-ear headphones can be folded, thereby taking up less space during transportation. A convenient solution and not every manufacturer has such a solution in design.
Naturally, the Mixcder E10 over-ear headphones do not have any protection against water or splashes, as they are designed for office purposes or for daily trips to work or school. It is also worth noting that if you often fly on airplanes, then the headphones will definitely suit you since they have ANC noise canceling.
Mixcder E10: Connect
As I already wrote, the main function of the Mixcder E10 is its wireless connection and using Bluetooth 5.0 you will not have any problems in terms of communication. In addition, the E10 model also received support for the aptX codec, so the signal transmission has almost no delays when watching videos on YouTube.
During testing, the headphones held well at a distance of 10 meters and worked without interruption of two walls from the signal source.
Connecting to a smartphone or other device will not be any difficulty. All you have to do is turn on your headphones; voice-activated English voice welcomes you. If this is the first pairing, then you need to go to the Bluetooth menu on your device and connect to the Mixcder E10.
Suddenly, your battery is dead, then there is a second way to use headphones – through an AUX cable. A convenient solution and in almost all over-ear headphones it comes with the kit, like the model E10.
Mixcder E10: Sound
The wireless over-ear headphones Mixcder E10 use a 40 mm dynamic driver and it really has good potential in terms of sound quality.
Below I presented two graphs with ANC turned on and off. As you can see, with ANC turned off, low frequencies are very even up to 500 Hz, then there is a jump at medium frequencies and from 9000 Hz decay at high frequencies.
If ANC noise reduction is turned on, the schedule looks like a friend. Substantial bass is immediately added and the entire graph looks almost flat, but there are small jumps within plus or minus 10 dB.
In real life, active noise canceling raises low and high frequencies, and mid-frequencies are slightly compressed. Also, the detail of the sound falls, but there are saturation and depth of sounds. If you watch movies, play games, then there will be no problems with the included ANC.
If you listen to music, I would prefer to turn off ANC, since the detail and clarity of the sound are real in the Mixcder E10 headphones.
Of course, for ordinary music lovers, these headphones will not work, but for the average statistical music lover, headphones go with a bang.
Mixcder E10: Battery
As I wrote above, this Mixcder E10 model received a built-in 500 mAh battery. After a week of use, I charged the headphones only once and I am completely satisfied with the battery life.
If you listen to music for 2-3 hours a day with the ANC turned off, then the headphones will work for about 5-6 days. The total battery life will be about 25 hours.
The charging time will be about 2.5 hours via a standard micro USB port.
Mixcder E10: Conclusion and Reviews
After several days with the over-ear headphones Mixcder E10, I was left with a positive impression. I have a few complaints, but as for their price, they were perfect for me.
The disadvantages I can attribute are the old micro USB port for charging, I would like to get a modern Type-C port.
The advantages include – it is attractive, and most importantly, high-quality assembled appearance and design. They are comfortable for prolonged wearing, as their ears do not sweat, and the sound quality is an order of magnitude better than that of their competitors.
Mixcder E10: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now you can buy over-ear headphones Mixcder E10 at a low price for just $70.98 in black at the company’s official store.
I can definitely say that after several generations, the new Mixcder E10 received a very good impression and worthy technical features.
