Today it’s about the budget smartphone called Micromax Dual 4 in our review. This is not exactly a modern phone with a beautiful and latest design elements.
This phone’s design could be produced in 2017, but now for a little money, you can get a quality phone with a Snapdragon 435 and a 5.2-inch Full HD screen. According to the technical data, this smartphone is also a mid-size model.
So in this article, we decided to look at the phone and see if it’s worth the attention and money. So, let’s see the main specs of Micromax phone.

Micromax Dual 4: Design and Appearance
In addition to the phone of Micromax Dual 4 in our test, the scope of supply includes a power charger, a micro USB cable, a SIM needle and a quick-start guide in English.
I would also like to note the presence of an interesting box that can be used to watch movies in 3D mode.
The Micromax Dual 4 is available in the case colors gray and gold (here with a black front).
As from Micromax, the device makes an excellent impression for me. If you hold it in your hand, you realize everything fits, is in the right place and has a high-quality finish.
Actually, one thinks to hold a much expensive device of at least $250.00 in your hands. The phone has an all-metal body made from an aluminum block.
Only on the back, there are 2 plastic caps for the antennas. There is also the dual camera and a LED flashlight.
On the left side is the SIMs slot, which is designed as a combination slot. This is meanwhile common. You can either operate 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM card and a MicroSD card.
On the right side of Micromax Dual 4 is the volume rocker and the power button.
At the bottom is the Micro-USB port, as well as the openings for the speaker and the microphone.
Above there is a 3.5mm jack and microphones for noise reduction. The screen has left and right visible edges of about 3mm, which if so, then rather in the model color gray.
The screen of Micromax Dual 4 is slightly rounded to the edges (2.5D glass). Below the display there are and the fingerprint sensor, which is also illuminated and can be found well in the dark.
It is pleasing that there is also a notification LED next to the selfie camera.
With its weight of 150g and the dimensions of 148 x 72 x 8.0 mm, the phone fits perfectly in the hand and with its 5.2-inch display is almost ideal for use with one hand.
Micromax Dual 4: Display
The 5.2-inch display dissolves with Full HD 1920 by 1080 pixels. Individual pixels are no longer recognizable and the viewing angles are stable.
In terms of colors and contrasts, the IPS panel performs excellently.
Even in bright sunlight, you can read the display very well. Especially the pure white and the low black value for an LCD screen ensure a natural presentation of the contents.
The screen of Micromax Dual 4 supports the recognition of 5 points and is therefore precise to use.
Good is also the coating of the display glass. It is not as sensitive to fingerprints as many a competitor.
Unfortunately, there is no indication of the hardening of the glass used. I recommend, for safety, a bulletproof glass. That costs little more than $2.00.
Micromax Dual 4: Hardware and Performance
Of course, the RAM with 4 GB of RAM has its share. Multitasking of Micromax Dual 4 is not a problem at all.
Sure, the Snapdragon 435 Octa-Core, 1.4Ghz, is a good and energy-efficient mid-range processor, so it’s not surprising to have to compromise on graphically-intensive games versus a high-end device.
It is gratifying that Micromax Dual 4 in our analisis has the heat dissipation of the processor under control. The device never got warmer than your own body temperature.
The internal memory holds 64GB, which can be expanded with MicroSD card up to 128GB.
As for the gameplay, then everything is fine since Snapdragon 435 is installed here, but you can play, for example, in PUBG Mobile, but at low settings.
In general, for a price of about $100, you get good performance and responsiveness with the speed of the operating system.
Micromax Dual 4: Software
Currently, Micromax delivers the devices with pure Android but present customizable (Android 7.0). Nearly every Micromax mobile phone is now equipped after a short time with an international ROM with Playstore, English language, and OTA updates.
According to Micromax has faster, better and has great new features. On top of that, there is probably also a current Android 7 base with most devices.
The user interface is completely translated into Europe. The navigation through the system works smoothly, apps start fast and even in the game performance you can not complain.
Micromax Dual 4: Connectivity
Very pleasing is that all in Europe common LTE networks are on board, also LTE band 20. But beware, there are also versions without volume 20 in circulation.
So always look at the technical data. The network reception is strong and stable. Even in poorly served areas, the Micromax Dual 4 still has reception when other devices have already said goodbye.
The call quality on the earpiece is excellent. The built-in speaker is loud but sounds a bit tinny.
On board are b, g, n. Unfortunately, there is no DUAL band in the 5Ghz range. The connection is stable.
Bluetooth is supported in version 4.1. A shortcoming is also the USB-Micro connection. Here a USB-C connection would have been timely.
GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, and GLONASS are available for navigation. Satellites are instantly found and the navigation is very accurate and stable.
The fingerprint sensor of Micromax Dual 4 in the test is well positioned and works without blame. In 10 attempts unlocked the phone 10 times on the first try. However, there are faster fingerprint sensors. There is a slight delay in recognizing the fingerprint.
NFC is not on board, not even the Chinese variant Hotknot.
Micromax Dual 4: Camera
The main camera of Micromax Dual 4 comes from Samsung and uses the sensor S5K3L8, which supports 13-megapixels. The sensor has a f/2.0 aperture and a PDAF autofocus.
The pictures become quite good in daylight. The autofocus is a bit nervous, and so some of the pictures have a little blur.
The pictures on low light could be better. The camera app offers numerous adjustment options, which offers the experienced user many possibilities.
The selfie camera, with 13-megapixels, makes useful portrait photos, whereby also here on good lighting conditions should be paid attention.
Videos are recorded on both cameras in FullHD. But I have to say that video fans will not come at a full cost. There is better in the market.
Micromax Dual 4: Battery
The battery of Micromax Dual 4 is firmly installed. With 2730mAh the battery is really low, but here is good chipset so the battery life is good. You can tell that in everyday use.
Only after the display was switched on 6.5 hours in succession, the device had to go back to the charger. The running time is one of the absolute prime disciplines of mobile phones. This is in vain with many top manufacturers.
I have always come for 1-2 days on a single charge. Of course, that is very individual. But in comparison with other phones a very good value.
Even if the battery is empty, it has full power again after about 1: 45h. This is a good value given the battery size.
Micromax Dual 4: Conclusions and Reviews
Who buys the Micromax Dual 4 in the global version, receives a powerful phone, with many strengths and few weaknesses.
The display is good, the workmanship and materials are top, the battery life outstanding and the performance is fine.
If you are not a video fan and can do without NFC, you get a good mobile phone here. In particular, the form factor is a weighty purchase argument.
The handiness of the device is simply unbeatable. The price-performance ratio is very good.
For many, the expectations, given the price, will certainly be exceeded. From me, there is a clear purchase recommendation.
Micromax Dual 4: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
The price is an interesting point, and now you can buy the Micromax Dual 4 Global Version at a low price for only $ 109.99 at a 10% OFF discount.
Yes, this is not the latest phone model, but it remains an interesting option with a Snapdragon processor and a good price.
