The modern market offers an incredible number of tablets and smartphones, and very often, the line between devices is conditional. You can make calls from 7- or 8-inches screen size devices, because they are equipped with cellular communication modules, including high-speed 4G.
One of such device is new tablet Lenovo P8 in our review. Today we want to talk about it in details.[coupon title=”Lenovo P8 Tablet PC” url=”https://goo.gl/nHjqCX” code=”BUY HERE:” reveal=”true” image=”http://www.awaqa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/11_1-1-24.jpg” theme=”base red” description=”Price: $193.99

Lenovo P8: Packaging
As you can see in the photos, this is a white compact box.
Inside it, we found this tablet itself, the documentation, the USB cable and the charger.
I want to say that the equipment is not particularly rich, but there is everything you need.
Lenovo P8: Design
Lenovo P8 in review looks very similar to others tablets in the market. Its front side is the same, as Nexus 7, released 5 years ago.
This design is used in other tens or hundreds of tablets from different manufacturers for the last years.
Also, Lenovo left a wide frame, although under the glass it is invisible, it was possible to increase the screen to the size of the tablet, or vice versa, to reduce the tablet to the screen size.
By the way, the screen size is 8 inches with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio. The manufacturer says about oleophobic coating. At the top of the front panel is the camera with a resolution of 5-megapixel.
The back side stands out with the main camera that protrudes on a half millimeter. It has a resolution of 8-megapixel and flash. In addition, there is a slot for dual SIM card and microSD memory card.
The slot has a rounded cap, signed by the brand name. We should note that opening a cap is not as easy as we would like. You will have to make efforts to open it without damage.
Also, we don’t understand why there are stickers with IMEI and other technical details. Of course, stickers can be removed, but the first impression is not so good.
And now the most interesting feature of Lenovo P8 tablet in test – the back cover is made of blue matte plastic, and it looks great! It does not leave fingerprints, and it allows to hold the tablet in one hand very comfortable. In general, everything looks very good.
All control buttons, such as Power and Volume UP/DOWN are located on the right side.
The buttons are made very well. We have no complaints about them. They press without squeaks, backlashes and do not stagger.
On top, there is a standard 3.5 mm audio jack for the headphone plug, stereo speakers, a micro USB port and the first microphone. At the bottom are another microphone and a second speaker.
This tablet is comfortable to hold even in one hand. However, as I wrote above, the manufacturer could make the screen bezels thinner, and reduce the dimensions of the tablet.
The thickness of the tablet is not so big, but some competitors can make such tablets much thinner by 2-3 mm, and even with the bigger battery.
Lenovo P8: Display
The highlight of Lenovo P8 in the review is its IPS screen with 8 inches, 16 million color and support for up to 10 touches.
The resolution is 1920 by 1200 pixels. The screen covers 70.7% of the entire front panel of the tablet. The screen itself is very good, and impressions from it are quite pleasant.
Brightness is more than enough, even too much.
So, you can see your Facebook page very clearly in the sun, but at night, with minimal brightness, the screen is too bright, which creates some inconvenience.
Lenovo P8: Hardware and Performance
Lenovo P8 in analisis works on 64-bit platform Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 with 14 nm process. CPU has eight cores ARM Cortex-A53, where each core can be accelerated from 652 MHz to 2.0 GHz.
The processor is coupled with graphics Adreno 506 running at 650 MHz. It allows you to launch any games, even on ultra-powerful settings. Of course, frames per second will not be the same as for flagship devices. However, all games are running without any complaints.
The manufacturer did not think long over the memory for the tablet because there is only 16GB of internal storage. This is enough for everyday tasks, but if you need more, you can easily expand it for 256GB with microSD memory card. As for RAM, there is 3GB. This is even a lot for a budget tablet.
Lenovo P8: Tests
In synthetic tests, Lenovo P8 showed itself well. In GeekBench 4 single-core processor test Snapdragon 625 scored 860 points. Multi-core test shows almost 3000 scores. In graphics test, the tablet has 3362 scores, which is pretty good.
If we talk about AnTuTu, then Lenovo P8 scored 61 647 points. It is the very decent result. The other test results can be seen in the screenshots below.
Lenovo P8: Games
If you are the real game, then Lenovo P8 is for you. This tablet works very well. I tried many different games, from free to paid, with powerful graphics, and where everything is very simple.
Undoubtedly, it is a merit of Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 platform and the almost pure Android 6.0 operating system, which is well optimized for this hardware. With a long gameplay, the tablet starts to heat, but not so much that it was unacceptable.
Lenovo P8: Cameras
The cameras in all tablets, as for me, are so useless, at least the rear ones. Many people use tablet cameras mostly for video calls.
Lenovo was not very worried about that. Both the front and rear camera are average, but you can use them for Skype calls and Instagram photos.
The rear camera has a resolution of 8MP, and the front camera is equipped with the 5MP sensor.
You can see camera test with stabilization 1080p below:
Lenovo P8: Networks and Communications
Lenovo P8 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac with dual channel mode. In addition, you can use dual nano-SIM card with GSM, HSPA and LTE networks. Our tests showed that the tablet can be used as a regular phone for ordinary calls. If you have a huge pocket of your shirt or jeans, then you can use it as your main smartphone.
However, the problem is that the main speaker is at the top of the tablet, while the microphone is at the bottom. Have you already imagined how the phone conversation will look like?
Lenovo P8: Sound
Lenovo P8 comes with two stereo speakers located on both sides. As a result, the sound diverges to the sides. The sound quality of stereo speakers is still in question. They are loud, there is even something like a bass, but all the power is scattered to the sides, which is somewhat depressing.
Sound in the headphones, like a barrel, until you run Dolby Atmos with an equalizer, which turns the sound from the headphones into “work of artistic sound.” It’s strange to me, why it was necessary to make the separate function so that the sound from the headphones to be incredible. It should default settings!
Lenovo P8: Software
Lenovo P8 in test works on also clean operating system Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with only a few apps from Lenovo. We do not have problems with software.
Although the tablet was introduced last month, it’s strange that it’s still working on the old 6th version of Android, and not on the last, Android 7.0.
We hope that the update will be available soon.
Lenovo P8: Battery
The battery capacity 4250mAh should enough for the full working day.
Although with active using, when Wi-Fi is turned on, it works about 4 hours.
Thanks to the good processor, almost pure Android and good optimization, Lenovo P8 shows very good performance in autonomy.
Nevertheless, I believe that the manufacturer could install a more capacious battery in a fairly thick body of Lenovo P8.
Lenovo P8: Conclusions and Reviews
The new version of the tablet Lenovo P8 is very similar to the model from the company Nexus. To be honest, it is not even worse than the Nexus, but its price is several times cheaper.
In our test, we liked the clean operating system, which runs smoothly and cleanly. Also, the screen quality is very good, so watching movies or playing games is very nice.
In addition to all this, I would like to note about the camera. As you could see the video and the quality of the photos very pleased us.
Lenovo P8: Low price and Where to buy cheaper?
At the moment, the GearBest website offers a discounted price for the Lenovo P8 tablet, so you can now buy it for only $ 193.99. Do not miss your chance, as time and quantity are limited.
