LEMFO SG2 Review: Watch with AMOLED screen and IP68 standard

LEMFO has been producing rather high-quality smartwatches for a long time, both on the Android operating system and the usual ones called fitness watches. Today on my test it’s a fitness watch with the name LEMFO SG2.

The main difference between a smartwatch with Android OS and a fitness watch is the battery life. Although for many users, the price will not be an unimportant factor, so LEMFO SG2 will cost you up to $50.

The price tag is almost half that of an Android smartwatch, but the basic functions and features remain the same. For example, these are various sports modes of training, tracking heart rate, blood pressure, sleep, steps, calories, and much more.

In addition, the new LEMFO fitness watch model received a bright 1.2 inch AMOLED screen, IP68 waterproof case, 230 mAh battery capacity, and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.

A little lower lay a charging dock and instructions for use, where you can find a QR code for installing the application.

It is also worth noting that the charging dock is rather unusual, it does not have the usual contacts and it charges like wireless charging on smartphones. Yes, a magnetic connection is used here and as for budget watches – this is an interesting feature.

Design

If you look at the appearance of LEMFO SG2, then I get a very positive impression of the new fitness watch model. Indeed, the device is made of quality materials and build quality is up to par.

The entire watch case is made of glossy material, which looks very stylish and solid.

I would also like to note that the upper mineral protective glass has scratch protection with 2.5D rounding. In addition, the glass surface has an oleophobic coating, on which there are practically no fingerprints.

The main feature of LEMFO SG2 is a high-quality AMOLED screen with a size of 1.2 inches and a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. Due to the small screen size and good resolution, the pixel density per inch was about 326 PPI.

The brightness of the screen is enough for quiet use in sunny weather, the same applies to color reproduction and viewing angles. I really liked the screen and if you want a bright and contrasting screen, then the SG2 watch model will be a good offer.

The case got a diameter of 42 mm, and a thickness of 13 mm, also the watch weighs about 49.3 grams. Undoubtedly, LEMFO SG2 looks very good on the wrist and they are not heavy and comfortable to wear. Although, sleeping in them will be problematic.

On the right side of the watch case, there are two buttons of different shapes – one round and the other oval. The upper oval button executes the back command, and the lower round button turns on or off.

The back of the watch has heart rate sensors and you can see the magnetic contact for wireless charging.

I would also like to note that LEMFO SG2 received protection against IP68 water. Therefore, you can swim in them in the pool, take a shower and much more. But I note that the maximum depth of immersion should not exceed 1.5 meters and no longer than 30 minutes.

The manufacturer offers three colors – it is black, white, and pink. You can also purchase an additional metal strap, but you will need to pay extra for it.

The standard strap is made of silicone material, which is very pleasant to the touch and has a thickness of 22 mm. Also, the strap itself is removable and at some point, you can replace it with any other.

The impeccable design will allow you to use the fitness watch not only during training but also in a business style.

Next, after swipe right to the left, we see a menu of various training modes. In total, ten types are available – these are walking, running, swimming and others. I want to note that the modes have an interesting arrangement, each icon is located along the contour of the watch, and is not made in the form of a list.

Battery

Since this is not an Android smartwatch, but a fitness watch, a 240 mAh battery capacity will be enough. For example, if you use the watch in active mode, the battery life on a single charge will be from 5 to 10 days.

Also due to the AMOLED screen, the watch will be able to work an order of magnitude longer than regular IPS fitness watches.

As I mentioned, LEMFO SG2 has wireless charging via the docking station. It has a magnetic connection and there are no ordinary metal contacts, like other competitors. This feature is any connection angle and the full charge time will be about 1.5 hours.

Conclusion and Reviews

LEMFO SG2 is the next smart fitness watch that got a perfect design with quality materials. It uses a simple user interface that any user can understand.

The built-in functions and features such as those of most competitors, but not many watches boast the presence of electrocardiography. Of course, this is not professional medical equipment, but as for personal interests, this function will be useful.

I also liked the high-quality AMOLED screen with high resolution and good brightness. Also, the battery life on a single charge was about 1 week with active users and this is a solid indicator, as for such a large and bright screen.

Price and Where to buy cheaper?

For many users, the price is a decisive choice and I want to please some, as the price tag on LEMFO SG2 does not exceed $50. Yes, if you want an additional metal strap, then you need to pay $3 more.

For a small price, LEMFO fitness watches have the perfect combination of build quality and technical specs.
