If you remember, we tested the smartwatch KOSPET Prime and you can read the link here. Today, KOSPET introduced a simplified version to the market, called KOSPET Prime SE.
I wanted to talk about the main differences between the two models and find out what to expect from a lite version of the older brother.
The first thing to note is that the price of the KOSPET Prime SE starts at $99 and is significantly lower than the full Prime model.
According to technical features, smartwatches with the SE index received the same 1.6 IPS screen, a large battery capacity of 1260 mAh, an 8MP and 2MP cameras, a Mediatek MT6739 processor, and much more. The difference between the two models is the amount of memory, in the lite version you get 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Therefore, I want to start our first acquaintance with the appearance and after that, I will tell my impression about the new version of smartwatches.

KOSPET Prime SE: Design
I did not notice any differences in appearance between the KOSPET Prime and Prime SE models.
This is the same big watch that got a 1.6-inch color IPS touch screen with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. The pixel density was 354 ppi and the screen itself is very bright even in sunny weather I can clearly see all the information.
Compared to competitors, then the new KOSPET Prime SE model received thin frames around the screen and a screen size of 1.6 inches corresponds to 1.39 inch screen.
On the other hand, it does not look very large, but for females and thin hands they will not look harmonious, but this is a matter of taste.
The case of KOSPET Prime SE smartwatch is made of plastic, but on the front part around the screen you can see a ceramic element and it gives the watch style and sophistication.
I have no complaints about the build quality; it is as excellent as my older brother.
The backside received a metal plate, which hides a slot for a nano-SIM card with support for 4G networks.
In addition, the back surface received a heart rate sensor and contacts for charging.
The control buttons are mechanical and made of plastic – this is the power and back buttons. The main camera is located between the buttons, and on the front side on the right side, you can see the front camera.
The latter can not only take pictures in selfie mode but also serves to unlock the face of the owner. I want to note that unlocking works quickly, but it all depends on the quality of lighting.
The strap has a standard width of 22 mm and it is removable, so replacing it with any other one will not be a problem.
I would like to note that the manufacturer offers two colors of the strap – it is black from pleasant silicone, and the second is brown, which is combined with leather and rubber.
KOSPET Prime SE: Performance and Features
Oddly enough, but the processor remained the same – it is an ultra-budget Mediatek MT6739 chipset that runs on low-end smartphones and has a frequency of 1.25 GHz.
The main changes were received by the memory since KOSPET Prime SE uses 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. I would like to recall that the Prime version received 3/32 GB of memory.
The watches are controlled using the Android 7.1.1 operating system. In fact, this is great news, since you can install absolutely any application through the Play Store from Google.
By control, smartwatches work quickly and without any delays, when compared even with the older version and taking into account that the RAM is three times less.
In terms of functionality, I found a lot of sports training modes, a music player, weather, heart rate, and many other useful functions.
The most important function, as for me, is the availability of 4G network support. I can fully use a smartwatch as a smartphone and not take it with me, but for short time use.

KOSPET Prime SE: Battery
Like its predecessor, KOSPET Prime SE received a similar 1260 mAh battery capacity. For me, this was a good sign, since the battery life of a smartwatch is a major problem for many manufacturers.
In our case, the Prime SE model can work up to 2 days with an average load mode and this is an excellent indicator, as for smartwatches running on Android OS.
A full charge from 0 to 100% will take approximately 3.5 hours.
KOSPET Prime SE: Conclusions and Reviews
This is the first review of the lite version of KOSPET Prime SE that looks exactly like the older KOSPET Prime model. The main differences are only in the RAM and internal memory of the watch.
Of the minuses, I can attribute that smartwatches are quite large, so they will not go well with a thin or small hand. Also, battery life was 2 days, but I would like to get a longer battery life on a single charge.
There are a lot of pluses, for example, a large 1.6-inch screen that reads much better than its competitors. Good performance, the presence of a 4G network for making calls and messages, the Android OS will allow you to install many useful applications through the Play Store on the new Prime SE model.
KOSPET Prime SE: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Currently, you can purchase the new version of the KOSPET Prime SE smartwatch at a low price for just $99.99 with a 33% discount. The price is valid from December 30 to January 12.
Despite the fact that the watch received lite specs, the Prime SE model received the same nice design and decent performance as for its attractive price.
