The Chinese smartwatch manufacturer Kospet has unveiled its third generation of budget watches called the Kospet Magic 3.
To be more precise, this is already the fourth generation, since earlier, in addition to the Magic and Magic 2 models, there was also a Magic 2S model. I was able to test each version of the devices and if you are interested to know my opinion, then I will leave a link here to these articles.
As for the cost, at present the price tag for the new generation of Kospet Magic 3 has become slightly higher than that of its counterparts. For example, now you can buy a watch for $35. In the meantime, past generations would have cost you $25.
Let’s take a look at the technical side to find out if the new generation is worth the money or not. The first significant change was the appearance and shape of the dial. The new generation received a square screen, while the previous generations had a round watch screen.
Also, the screen size has grown to 1.71 inches using a budget TFT matrix. The device received a slightly higher battery capacity value and thus increased the battery life. I can also highlight the presence of full protection against water under the IP68 standard and much more.
Thus, I propose to start my in-depth and detailed review of the new generation of smartwatches in order to find out about all the features and functions. Therefore, I want to start my story with the appearance of the package and its configuration.

Unboxing and packaging
For my review, the new model of the Kospet Magic 3 watch came in a small white package. Since, this is a budget watch, I can’t say anything negative about the quality of the box itself. On the front, there is a designation of the company name and model, but you will not find a picture of the device here.
The back of the package received a list of the main technical characteristics. The equipment itself is quite typical, like most similar fitness watches. For example, inside the package, I found this, directly, the watch itself, a two-pin charging cable and instructions for use.
In general, the equipment caused me only positive feelings. But now let’s check how well the watch is assembled and whether it has negative sides.
Design, build quality and materials
The first thing I want to draw your attention to is a modified design, compared to previous generations of watches. If earlier the watch was made with a round dial, now the device has received a square dial. Why the manufacturer decided to change the appearance of the Magic watch line so seriously, I cannot tell you for sure.
Nevertheless, the watch received a number of interesting features in its performance. For example, the Kospet Magic 3 watch was made in a combination of metal and plastic. That is, the side end of the device was made of an alloy of metals, while the back side was made of matte plastic.
I had no complaints about the quality of performance. The entire body was assembled in one piece and without extraneous creaks and noises. I can also highlight the presence of protection against water under the IP68 standard. Therefore, now you can easily swim with the watch and are not afraid to ruin it.
On the front, there is a protective glass from scratches and other troubles with a 3D rounding. There are frames around the screen, but I cannot call them significant. As I said, the smartwatch received a 1.71 inch TFT screen. Its resolution was 280 x 320 pixels.
Since this is a budget screen, I cannot call it a strong feature. Yes, the color gamut and viewing angles are probably good. But the maximum value of the brightness level was not enough for me. That is, in the open air in sunny weather, it was quite problematic to watch information from the watch screen.
On the right side of the device, there is one mechanical button for turning on and moving back. Also on the back of the watch, there is a two-pin charger and a heart rate sensor. A little later I will tell you how plausibly the sensors installed on the watch read.
I also want to tell you a little about the strap itself. It was made of silicone material and was 22 mm wide and 255 mm long. As you can see from the pictures, the strap itself is removable. Thus, you can easily replace it with any other option if necessary.
The last thing you should be aware of is the size and weight of the smartwatch. The new model of the Kospet Magic 3 device received a compact size of 43 x 37.6 x 11.5 mm and the weight of the watch was 52.3 grams, taking into account the weight of the strap. Therefore, even on a thin hand, the watch will look good. For example, during my testing, I was comfortable wearing them not only for everyday use, but also during sleep.
Functions, features and mobile app
Not surprisingly, the new Kospet Magic 3 smartwatch model has received a basic user interface in its performance. I had no particular complaints about the controls, since the interface worked in the same way as other smartwatches of the same price range.
The main watch faces of the Magic 3 model displays a lot of useful information. Also, if you want to change the style of the watch face, then you need to hold your finger on the main screen for a few seconds. Initially, the watch had five different watch faces. But also through the mobile application, you can download more than 50 different types of watch faces.
To get to the quick settings menu, you need to swipe down from the main screen. Here you can see icons such as vibration mode, do not disturb mode, screen brightness slider, flashlight, theater mode, settings, and even weather.
If you swipe to the right of the main screen, you will get to the main menu with all the functions and features. The watch offers an interesting style of the main menu, where icons are arranged in a chaotic order from each other. The watch from Apple has the same design.
In this section, you will be able to see features such as sport modes, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level SpO2, respiratory recovery, stopwatch, timer, music player and more. That is, all functions are very similar to those of most fitness watches.
At the same time, if you want to check the latest notifications, you need to swipe up from the main screen of the watch. As you might have guessed, the Kospet Magic 3 watch does not support Bluetooth calling functions. Therefore, it will not be possible to receive or call through the watch interface.
But when you swipe to the left of the main dial, you can see useful widgets. These are steps taken, sleep, heart rate, exercise mode, blood pressure measurement, SpO2, weather, camera control button, and a music player. At the same time, on each widget, you can see detailed information if you swipe up.
Okay, now let’s check how accurately the watch measures your health. The heart rate on the watch showed the result of 98 beats per minute, and on the medical device – 94 beats per minute. The blood oxygen level was 99% on the watch and 94% on the medical device. At the same time, the blood pressure on the medical device showed the result of 154/109, but on the watch – 138/82. From this we can conclude that the watch shows inaccurate results compared to medical devices, except for the heart rate indicator.
I would also like to note more about sports modes. The Kospet Magic 3 smartwatch model uses 20 different sports modes. These are walking, running, cycling, football, golf, swimming and many other sports training.
As for the mobile app, the Kospet Magic 3 watch can be paired with a mobile app called Da Fit. The app itself is available on Play or App Stores.
The main menu of the app is a list of features such as steps, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure and SpO2. In the app settings, there is a list of sections such as watch faces, notifications, alarms, camera control and update. Overall, the user interface is very simple and similar to most watches in this price range.
Battery and run time
Inside the case of the Kospet Magic 3 smartwatch, a 220 mAh battery was installed. The manufacturer assures that the device is capable of working 7-10 days on a single charge. Is this so, let’s check?
During my testing, the watch lasted about 6 days with heavy use. Yes, they might have worked longer, but some functions would have to be used with restrictions. Therefore, even 6 days of work is a solid indicator, as for a smartwatch.
In this case, a full charge will take you about 2 hours. I also want to note that the magnetic connection was quite strong and it does not move away from the watch seat.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
The third generation of smartwatches Magic 3 from the Kospet brand have received significant changes, both in design and in their functionality.
One of the advantages I can highlight is the smooth operation of the user interface. Also, the watch received a high-quality assembly and good materials in its performance. In addition, the presence of protection against water under the IP68 standard will give you the full opportunity to use the watch even in the pool.
I can also highlight a comfortable fit on the wrist and a pretty good functionality of features and functions.
But I will refer to the disadvantages – these are inaccurate indicators of blood pressure and SpO2. Although the heart rate indicator was very believable. I also missed such a feature as Bluetooth calls.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
Currently, the price tag for the new Kospet Magic 3 smartwatch model is very attractive, only $34.99 with a 30% discount.
Considering its main features and advantages, I can definitely recommend a new smartwatch model for purchase. But I will also leave a list of the main competitors that may also interest you.
