Over the past few months, popular Chinese brand KingWear has released some interesting wearable gadgets.
Currently, there are many smartwatches, and now it’s hard to surprise us. Indeed, KingWear is popular with its KW88 model, but in this review, we look at the improved KingWear KW88 Pro model.
And today we have a review of the most interesting, in our opinion, model KingWear KW88 Pro. So, let’s see the main specs of the new generation of KingWear smartwatch.

KingWear KW88 Pro: Unboxing and Packaging
In general, all the boxes of smartwatches are the same as square cube format. And as a predecessor, here we see the SmartWatch on the front side.
Let’s see what’s inside, here we see the watch itself.
Also, there is a protective film on the glass, a charging cable with a magnetic tip, user manual, and a screwdriver for opening the SIM slot.
This is standard packaging for any smartwatch on the current device market.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Design and Appearance
KingWear KW88 Pro in our test is a fairly large stainless steel case with a powerful, especially in the place of attachment, a silicone strap, and a reliable classic stainless steel clasp.
With dimensions of 28.50 × 4.60 × 1.35 cm and a weight of 65 grams, on a small hand, the watch will look a little awkward.
On the right side of the case of KingWear KW88 Pro, there are one button and 2-megapixel camera lens.
The top button performs the function of on-off and works as a back button.
The cover of the SIM card tray is not metallic, like the whole case, but plastic and rubberized on the inside to avoid water and dust, although the watch itself does not have a protection rating.
Almost the entire front panel occupies the screen, and the frame around it is marked with a degrees mark.
At the bottom of the case KingWear KW88 Pro there is an optical heart rate sensor window, SIM-card slot, and 4 charging contacts.
The watch is charged not with the help of a magnetic cable, like with many models, but with the help of a DOC charging station.
On the one hand, this is not very convenient, since you will have to constantly carry this stand with you, but, but it does not depart, like most charging magnetic cables.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Display
The display of KingWear KW88 Pro in our test more than most models of this manufacturer. This is a 1.39-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels.
Despite not the highest resolution of the display, I liked this screen. It is quite bright, clear, with good colors and viewing angles.
The screen brightness can be adjusted depending on the lighting. Like most displays, in bright sunlight, it will still have to be shaded to see something.
There are practically no complaints about the responsiveness of the screen, even the sensor responds normally to a wet finger.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Hardware and Performance
Inside KingWear KW88 Pro is equipment MediaTek MT6580 processor with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
Out of the box, approximately 12.15 GB of 16 GB are available, the remaining three GB are occupied by the Android 7.0 operating system.
As for hours, the power of this processor is more than enough, the same hardware can be found even in some cheap smartphones.
But still, occasionally, you can encounter barely noticeable slowdowns, especially when you run multiple applications simultaneously.
In the test, AnTuTu KingWear KW88 Pro scores 19840 points. Connectivity and autonomy On the settings, interface, and control of the watch will not stop in detail.
The watch is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems via Bluetooth version 4.0. To switch operating systems in the watch menu there is a separate Switch Platform submenu.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Features
In addition to the functions of the smartphone, this watch can also perform some functions of a fitness tracker.
These include heart rate measurement, sleep monitoring, a pedometer, counting calories expended, and determining location, speed, and route using GPS.
Of all the above functions, I used only GPS and a heart rate monitor. There are no particular complaints about this or that.
Everything is, as usual, GPS can connect instantly, and it may take several minutes. Heart rate indicators may also differ, and both in the larger and in the smaller direction, and without any regularity (compared with Mi Band 2). That is a classic Chinese watch.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Connectivity
Thanks to the SIM card slot with 3G and GSM support, as well as WiFi, KingWear KW88 Pro can be used completely independently of the smartphone.
You can download additional applications and dials, make and receive calls, send messages, go online, watch videos on YouTube, etc.
In general, a watch can perform the same functions as an average smartphone, only with a small screen.
As for the autonomy of KingWear KW88 Pro, everything is ambiguous.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Battery
The battery capacity of KingWear KW88 Pro in the analisis is 350 mAh. This is about 10-20 percent less than gadgets with similar characteristics.
That is, autonomy should be a little worse. It’s impossible to tell how many watches will be guaranteed to work on one battery charge. It all depends on the use.
The manufacturer promises up to 48 hours standby time. Probably, it is, only if the watch is put on the shelf, and they are not touched at all. Video at minimum brightness and medium volume battery allowed to show almost 6 hours.
When testing, we managed to use almost 50% of the charge in about 1.5 hours. And this is without constantly enabled GPS and Bluetooth.
So, if you fully use all the features of the gadget, you need to be ready to charge the watch twice a day. In principle, having adapted, you can stretch the charge for a full day. That is, KingWear KW88 Pro suffers from the same disease as most smartwatches.
KingWear KW88 Pro: Conclusions and Reviews
What is the result? If you weigh all the advantages and disadvantages, first, probably, still more. Especially if you consider the relatively democratic cost.
In general of KingWear KW88 Pro in our review, this is a well-built smartwatch that can pinch the simplest phone.
If you can take or make calls, also use the Play Store and download any applications and use social networks via an Internet connection or Wi-Fi.
But the disadvantage is the autonomy of work since almost any smartwatch is weak in this.
For diversity and great features, this is a good device that has a good operating system running Android 7.0
KingWear KW88 Pro: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Of course, the cheapest is KingWear KW88 Pro sold in their homeland. In Chinese stores, you can buy them for low and good price only $108.46.
So this is a good solution to get a good smartwatch with all possible functions, such as GPS, 3G network and even apps or games in the Play Store.
