Today’s review will be about new wireless earbuds from KINERA and most likely you have not heard about this brand. But I want to note that the manufacturer is very famous for its wired models of headphones, which received good popularity. The new KINERA YH623 model has a number of attractive features and I will talk about them in the test below.
As for the price? At the time of writing, KINERA YH623 earbuds can be bought for $62 with a good discount.
The YH623 model is equipped with a 6 mm dynamic driver, support for the aptX codec and Qualcomm QCC3020 chip, which has an attractive appearance and good battery life up to 6 hours.
Of course, KINERA earbuds give hope for the release of light, but what about the sound? You will find out whether they will be similar to the sound like the Sabbat E12 Ultra, a little lower in the sound section, and so we went to examine the appearance of the box and earbuds.
KINERA YH623: Specifications
|Driver unit:||6mm dynamic driver|
|Bluetooth protocol:||aptX, AAC, and SBC|
|Charging Time:||60 min|
KINERA YH623: Unboxing
To my surprise, the appearance of the box is very unusual and non-standard, as you can see the box is made in the shape of a hexagon. On the front, I see an earbud pattern, model name, and technical features. The backside received a slightly different earbud pattern and device specifications.
Inside the box, I found the following items that were packed very high quality. There was a charging box with earbuds inside, three pairs of nice ear pads, but with a short fit, also a Type-C charging cable and instructions for use.
Without any fanaticism, I can say that the equipment is very standard, but has its own characteristics in terms of the type of shape of the box.
KINERA YH623: Design
For its price of just over $60, the manufacturer must provide a very attractive appearance. Oddly enough, the KINERA YH623 wireless earbuds look very attractively beautiful.
They got a fairly compact size and lightweight, so when wearing I did not have any difficulties in adapting. The weight was 4.8 grams of each earbud, and the weight of the charging case is about 34 grams, without earbuds.
I also want to note that the earbuds do not protrude from the ears, so they can be comfortably worn under a hat in the winter season. It is also worth saying that the earbuds are suitable not only for men but also for women.
The KINERA form resembles Wavefun XPods 3 or Meizu POP 2 and as for me, it is a good form for long listening to music or watching movies.
The earbuds are made of glossy plastic blue plastic, which shimmers beautifully in the sun.
On the front, I see the name of the company KINERA, touch control, and an LED indicator. The indicator itself does not blink during operation, but only during power-up or pairing, which is good.
On the inside, there are two contacts for charging and a channel designation. At the bottom, there is a microphone hole. The sound guide has a typical size and the correct angle with a metal protective mesh on the base. The earpads are short and during use, I would advise you to set a standard size.
The manufacturer indicates protection against sweat and splashes of the IPX5 standard, so you can go in for sports, but swimming in the pool will not work with them.
The charging case, like the earbuds themselves, is quite compact with dimensions of 60 x 35 x 30 mm. Boxing is made of matte plastic and I did not find any assembly defects.
The lid has no backlash at all and it made me happy; on the front of the lid, you can see the name of the KINERA model.
Inside the case, there are seats with a magnetic connection, and in the center is an LED indicator of the battery level of the box.
On the back, there is a Type-C port for charging and this is a good solution that the first wireless earbuds from the KINERA manufacturer received just such a solution and not a micro USB port.
As for the mid-price range, KINERA YH623 earbuds have all the necessary features and functions for long-term, and most importantly, comfortable use and listening to music.
KINERA YH623: Connection and control
One of the important aspects when choosing a wireless earbud is the quality of the connection. The new KINERA YH623 earbuds received Bluetooth with version 5.0. During my testing, the connection with the earbuds was strong and kept at a distance of 10 meters. I also wanted to note that I did not find any glitches or other unpleasant surprises. If we talk about the delay, then on YouTube it is almost absent, but in games, there is a slight delay.
The connection is standard, as on most wireless models, so you will not have any difficulties with pairing. In addition, KINERA YH623 earbuds can work both individually and together.
As I mentioned, the earbuds were equipped with touch controls, which in turn works well. An additional plus, in addition to standard control functions, such as play/pause, accept/hang up, switch tracks, call the voice assistant, there is also volume control using swipes.
KINERA YH623: Sound
For sound quality meets the 6 mm dynamic driver with support for the Qualcomm QCC3020 chip and aptX codec. In general, the standard filling, but the manufacturer did a good job on the correct sound.
The low frequencies are filled with good detail and dynamic sound will provide you with a joyful mood for the whole day. In addition, the bass is very elastic and has a good power reserve.
The mid frequencies are well developed and they are not cut, when compared with cheaper models. The high frequencies received, although not the purest sound structure, but even at maximum volume, the KINERA YH623 does not creak and each individual musical instrument is heard distinctly.
Compared to competitors, the new model is very similar to the Sabbat E12 Ultra, the sound is also pleasant and dynamic. But as for its first wireless earbuds, the KINERA YH623 is missing something, and perhaps the next generation will even surpass Sabbat’s top-end sound.
As for the earbuds, the microphone quality is pretty good. You can talk in a quiet place, but in a noisy one – extraneous sounds from the outside world will be heard.
KINERA YH623: Battery
Each KINERA YH623 earbud is equipped with a 50 mAh battery, and the charging box capacity was 400 mAh. During testing, the earbuds worked for 5 hours and 50 minutes with a volume level of about 80%. I think – this is a solid result, both for its size and weight.
The total battery life of the earbuds using the case will be approximately 24 hours.
The charging the earbuds from the case will take you about 1 hour, and charging the box through the Type-C port about 1.5 hours.
KINERA YH623: Conclusion and Reviews
I am repeatedly surprised that the new brand presents its first wireless earbuds and they turned out to be very good. The KINERA YH623 model has almost no flaws, but at least there are more advantages.
For example, the minuses may not include the best sounding microphones, but this type and shape of earbuds is not able to get the perfect microphone sound.
A number of advantages that I liked are its attractive and premium appearance with a compact size. Also touch control with great functionality, such as volume control. But the most important advantage is the high-quality sound, which is rarely seen in this segment of wireless earbuds. Well, the last, and for some users, this will be an important factor – this is the battery life for about 6 hours at one charge level.
KINERA YH623: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now you can buy KINERA YH623 wireless earbuds at a low and pleasant price for only $62.10 and with a 28% discount.
It is difficult to find such earbuds, so there are not so many alternatives, but the Sabbat E12 Ultra remains the main competitor for the YH623 model.
