What makes Jade Audio earbuds special? When I saw the specifications, I was a bit surprised. The EW1 model received a Qualcomm QCC3020 chipset, the presence of aptX codec, Bluetooth 5.0, ergonomic design and much more.

I am very interested, so let’s start our detailed review from the new company Jade Audio.

Jade Audio EW1: Unboxing

The first thing that catches your eye when I saw the appearance of the box is that it is recycled from cardboard and looks not very prestigious. On the front part there is an inscription Jade Audio and on the backside a sticker with information from the company.

Inside the box, it’s already a little better, here on a plastic base there is a charging box and headphones, and under it, there is an instruction, a wire for charging a micro-USB port and a set of earpads.

Of course, in order to stand out with the first model, you need to try hard, but the manufacturer did not bother with the Type-C port and the earpads themselves are not of the best quality. Let’s look at the appearance then, maybe it will be a little better.

Jade Audio EW1: Design

Someone may like it, but someone doesn’t have a very inscription on the front of the Jade Audio earbuds. As for me, the font looks like an amateur, and for example, I don’t like it, although to some it may seem pretty, it’s a matter of taste.

The earbuds are made of high-quality plastic, the inside is matte and the exterior is glossy with a dark blue tint.

In size, they are very similar to Redmi AirDots, but still, the Jade Audio EW1 will be slightly larger, although not significantly.

They are well assembled, gaps and the case does not creak, in general, I have no complaints about the build quality.

On the front of the Jade Audio EW1 is the touch control with the company name. Nearby there is a notification LED that will glow once every 7 seconds.

Inside the earbud case, a channel designation and a two-pin connection for charging with a case.

Sound guides have a direct channel output, so both headphones can be installed in a charging case, without fear of confusing the channel.

Also, the product claims to be IPX5-proof against splashes and sweat, but naturally, the EW1 should not be bathed or completely wet in water.

The charging case has a familiar shape for everyone and on the lid, I see a similar proud inscription on the name of the company Jade Audio, as on the earbuds themselves.

The box is made of nice matte plastic and fits easily into a small jeans pocket in size.

The cover has a mechanical latch and it almost does not play. The earbuds stay inside the case thanks to the magnetic connection. I also noticed eating a noticeable battery level indicator in the form of a battery.

If it lights up 4 times – this means 100% charge level, if 3 times – 75% charge level and so on. Still, this is a better solution than not getting an indicator at all.

The earbuds themselves fit well in my ears, as the size and weight are small, they are easily suitable for both men and women.

Jade Audio EW1 hardly stick out and look harmonious in the ears. With a quick run, they do not fall out, so they are also suitable for playing sports.

Jade Audio EW1: Connection and Control

The Jade Audio EW1 uses a Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection that works with the integrated Qualcomm QCC3020 chipset. As practice has shown, the connection is excellent and the distance of work without an obstacle will be about 10 meters from the source of reception.

The first time you connect, you need to turn on the EW1 wireless earbuds, then go to the Bluetooth wireless menu on your smartphone or other device and simply connect to the device. The further pairing will be done automatically.

In addition, I was pleased with the multifunctional control. Yes, it is not the most familiar, but there are a large number of useful functions. Let’s talk about them.

One-touch on the left or right earphone is volume control. If you hold for about 2 seconds – the next or previous track, depending on the channel. Play/pause – this is a double tap on the right earphone.

Jade Audio EW1: Sound

A 6 mm dynamic driver is installed inside the case, which has shown itself on the positive side. Of course, the sound quality was also influenced by the availability of aptX codec support.

The low frequencies, they really have a strong point in this model of earbuds. Despite its small size, the sound was able to compose a very dynamic and massive. Each element of the sound is well-read and the detail is at a decent level.

There is also bass and even more than we would like. As you know, I’m not a fan of strong bass, but if you like strong and deep bass, then the earbuds are for you.

The mids and highs are well designed, they have a pleasant and surround sound. Of course, I listened to better sound, but of course, Jade Audio EW1 play perfectly considering its price.

Inside the case, cVc 8.0 was installed, noise reduction technology and working with the Qualcomm chip do its job well. This technology allows you to remove unnecessary noise from the outside world, so you can enjoy your favorite music.

The microphone quality is not the highest, but if you need to make short telephone calls, then they will not be a problem for you. It is worth noting that the sound from the microphone sounds like a walkie-talkie.

Jade Audio EW1: Battery

As the manufacturer of Jade Audio indicates, the earbuds can work for about 6 hours. As practice has shown, at maximum volume, the wireless earbuds worked for 6 hours and 7 minutes, which is even better than the manufacturer claims.

Also in your submission is an additional 420 mAh charging case. It is able to recharge the earbuds 3 times again. Therefore, the total battery life will be up to about 20 hours.

The charging time of Jade Audio EW1 via micro-USB port was a little less than 2 hours.

Jade Audio EW1: Conclusions and Reviews

Of course, the new Jade Audio EW1 earbuds showed themselves on the positive side, but albeit with minor flaws.

For example, Type-C or wireless charging you will not find in the charging case, and the microphone quality is not the best.

But the Jade Audio EW1 earbuds boast a pleasant sound, almost any performance sounds without any questions. They are very versatile, they sound voluminous and dynamic.

The battery life from a full charge is even nothing, about 6 hours at maximum volume – this is a solid indicator.

In addition, I liked the control and the presence of volume changes on the touch panel, this functionality is not always available in this budget class.
