The HTC U11, which was introduced a few days ago, is not only to receive the usual two Android updates in the coming years but could even get a third big update with Android Q.
HTC U11: Android Updates on Android O, P and Q planned
According to a statement from Chailin Chang, President of the Global Sales and Chief Financial Officer at HTC, the HTC U11 will even receive three major updates to the Android operating system. In addition to Android O, which was presented yesterday in the context of the Google I / O 2017 with many new functions in more detail, is not only an update to follow Android P, but possibly also an update to Android Q. Officially, HTC has only two in the case Great updates, as is common with many companies. But the consideration is there, the update policy to loosen up and so a further big update – if the prerequisites fit.
This is quite a reason to opt for the HTC U11 because our first impression at the launch of the new flagship smartphone was very positive. HTC has thought of some new features, which should facilitate the operation. This includes a touch-sensitive frame, which we present to you in the upper hands-on video.
In addition to current specifications such as the Snapdragon 835, 64 GB of internal memory and a dual SIM function, which is in vain for other high-end smartphones, the HTC U11 is synonymous with an outstanding camera score – at least according to DxOMark. Whether this is really enough to get through the Samsung Galaxy S8, can only show the time. We are open to the HTC U11 and are looking forward to a test device.
