Today I will continue to tell you a new series of wireless earbuds from Haylou. Earlier I already talked about some models, such as Haylou GT2 and Haylou T15. I have been using the new Haylou T19 for about one week now and I already have something to tell you about.
In this article, I will share my impressions of the build quality and materials, also tell you how the earbuds sound and compare the sound with the main competitors. In addition, I already have a list of the merits and demerits of the T19 model, but let’s talk about all this in this test.
The price tag for the new Haylou T19 TWS earbuds is a little over $30. Therefore, I can attribute this model to the middle segment. I think that many will agree with me that Haylou produces only budget products and new earbuds are no exception.
The first thing I liked about the new Haylou T19 was its design. It resembles little top-end earbuds from Apple but has a slightly modified case. The device also got a good list of features. These include support for the aptX-HD codec, convenient touch controls, beautiful animation while connecting with a smartphone, and even wireless charging.
Well, judging from the main features, the expectation from the new earbuds is quite anxious. Therefore, I propose to proceed with the review and I will start it with a complete set.
Haylou T19: Specifications
|Driver unit:||? Dynamic driver|
|Bluetooth protocol:||aptX-HD, AAC and SBC|
The design of the box is made in the style of Haylou. This is a gray box, where the brand’s logo is located on top of the front part, there is a drawing of earbuds in the central part and the model name in the lower part.
On the back of the box is a list of technical specifications.
Inside the box, the earbuds themselves, and the charging box greeted me beautifully. I also found a set of white silicone ear tips and a Type-C charging cable.
Despite its low cost, Haylou products show a rather expensive package bundle. For example, there is a modern Type-C cable and the quality of the ear pads themselves is at a high level.
The new Haylou T19 earbuds have got an interesting look that resembles the standard Apple AirPods. But the main difference between these models is the presence of silicone ear tips.
The Haylou T19 sound guide got the correct shape and it is quite comfortable to wear this model, even for a long period of time. In addition, the earbuds are well suited for sports activities, as they sit very firmly in the ear canal. During the test, I did not have any signs that the earbud might get lost, for example, while running.
With the right choice of the size of the ear tips, I was able to completely isolate myself from the outside world and enjoy my favorite music. But I’ll tell you a little about the sound quality later.
The earbud housing is made of glossy white plastic. But I do not want to say that it is very easily soiled and fingerprints are practically invisible on us. Also, the manufacturer decided to add a pink gold ring along the contour and it gives the earbuds a certain charm.
On the outside of the earbud case, in addition to the decorative ring, there is a touch panel and a small LED indicator.
There is an ear detection sensor on the inside. It pauses music or video playback when you remove one of the earbuds from the ear canal.
Magnetic contacts for charging and a microphone hole were installed at the bottom of the leg.
The charging box is already made of matte plastic, not glossy like earbuds. But I like it even better since it is more confident in the hand and does not slip.
The lid opens thanks to a magnetic connection and has no backlash at all. I really like the build quality, especially the charging box. This combination of price and build is very rare.
It can be a problem to get the earbuds out of the charging box, which is not quite convenient, as they are glossy and sometimes slip out of your hands, and the magnetic connection is very strong.
There is an LED indicator on the front of the box case, and a Type-C charging connector on the bottom end. The manufacturer also offers wireless charging in the case and I want to tell you it works well.
Thus, after inspecting and testing the earbuds, I have a positive impression in terms of appearance and build quality. But let’s see how the earbuds behave in terms of communication.
Connection and Control
Haylou T19 wireless earbuds got the modern Bluetooth connection with version 5.0. The manufacturer also boasts support for the Qualcomm chipset and aptX-HD, AAC, and SBC codecs.
The practice has shown a fairly positive result. During my testing, the earbuds kept a strong signal and I didn’t have any breaks or interference. Also, the distance up to 10 meters was not a hindrance to the earbuds, as was the signal penetration through two walls in the apartment.
The latency when watching videos on Youtube is almost insignificant, but in games, it is a little more, but it will be quite comfortable to play.
As I already mentioned, the T19 has touch control and a list of functions, as is standard for budget earbuds. I also really missed the volume control function.
- One-touch – play, pause, accept, or put a call.
- Double-tapping the right earbud is the next track, and the left earbud is the previous one.
- Triple tap on any of the earbuds – call the voice assistant.
The first thing I want to point out is that the Haylou T19’s sound quality is fantastic considering its low cost.
Low frequencies got a nice and velvety bass. Although I cannot say that it is strong and massive, it was enough for me.
The mids and highs are well-tuned and sound balanced. I didn’t notice much annoyance even in the peak moments of dynamic music. Each musical instrument was legible and the vocalist’s voice was directed in a straightforward, not distant manner.
Of the shortcomings, I can note that this is a low volume level. My ears, even at 100% volume, did not feel much discomfort in noisy places. But if you are listening to music in a quiet place, then a volume level of 50% will be sufficient.
Four built-in microphones are responsible for the quality of the microphone, two of which are needed for noise cancellation. Therefore, I do not have severe problems with the microphone, even in loud and noisy places, the interlocutor heard me clearly.
Many manufacturers do not indicate the battery capacity in the headphones and this is the way the new Haylou T19 model went. According to the manufacturer, the battery life on a single charge will be about 5 hours.
As practice has shown, when using earbuds at a volume level of 70%, the T19 model was discharged in 4.5 hours. In addition, the charging box can recharge the earbuds six times. Thus, the total battery life will be about 28 hours.
Charging time via Type-C port is 2 hours. As I mentioned, the charging box supports wireless charging and it really works.
Conclusion and Reviews
In this model of TWS earbuds, I liked the high-quality appearance with nice plastic in its performance. Also, the earbuds received a good filling – this is the aptX-HD codec. The sound quality is high, but the volume is lacking here.
Of the negative points, I can single out – this is only the lack of a volume control function and the absence of any protection against water.
Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now everyone can buy Haylou T19 TWS earbuds at a bargain price – $31.75 with a 47% discount.
Considering its comfortable fit, high-quality sound, and support for wireless charging, the earbuds are definitely worth their attention and I can recommend you for purchase.
