Today I have a very interesting model of wireless earbuds from Haylou in my review. Yes, a large number of various TWS earbuds and smart fitness watches from Haylou have passed through my hands, but today’s hero was able to surprise me a little. As you can already read from the title of the article, the earbuds were named Haylou GT3.
In this review, I will talk about the sound quality, how the microphones cope in noisy places, as well as share the build quality and key features. In addition, you can find out about the main advantages and disadvantages after reading this review.
At the time of this writing, the Haylou GT3 was priced at almost $27. Yes, the price tag is very tempting. But as you can remember, most of the earbuds are priced under $ 20, so compared to the older brothers, the price tag for the GT3 headphone model is rather overpriced.
I can immediately note that, despite their simple technical features and specs, the earbuds sound very good. Inside the case, the manufacturer installed a 7.2 mm dynamic driver, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection and the presence of one SBC audio codec.
In addition, the earbuds received IPX4 protection from sweat and splashes and the battery life is at a decent level. So let’s find out what the new TWS earbud model is capable of and how it performed in real life.

Unboxing and packaging
Like any Haylou product, the new GT3 headphone comes in a small gray and blue box. Perhaps the density of the package is not the highest, but the package came to me for the test intact and without damage.
On the front of the package, you can see a drawing of the earbuds with the model and brand name. Meanwhile, on the back of the box, there is a list of technical features in two languages - English and Chinese.
But the set of earbuds is not the richest, but do not forget about the low cost. Naturally, the package includes a charging box with earbuds inside, a small Type-C charging cable, a set of silicone ear tips with instructions.
Design, build quality and materials
First of all, it should be said that the new model of Haylou GT3 earbuds received the form factor of in-ear earbuds with a leg. When I first saw these earbuds from Haylou, I immediately remembered a similar model T10 from QCY.
If you compare the two models of earbuds face to face, you will notice that the foot of the GT3 model is slightly larger than that of the T10. Despite this, the Haylou fit is much more comfortable. In addition, the weight of one earbud was only 3.8 grams.
Thus, I had no strong complaints about the comfort of the fit in the ear canal, both in everyday use and during sports. Also, I can not ignore one feature – it is protection against sweat and splashes under the IPX4 standard. But this is not a full-fledged protection against water, so I do not recommend wetting or swimming in earbuds.
As for the materials used, the outer side of the earbuds received a glossy finish, while the rest of the case is made of matte plastic. That is, the Haylou GT3 uses almost the same combination of composite plastics as the QCY T10.
But the disadvantage is only one color of the earbud case and charging box. As you can already see from the pictures above, only the black color option is available.
If we talk about the quality of execution and assembly, then I did not reveal any special complaints. While wearing the earbuds, the case did not emit extraneous sounds and creaks. In addition, I liked the silicone ear tips, which are very soft and fit well in the ear canal.
On the outside of the Haylou GT3 headphone case, there is a touch control and an LED indicator for operation. There are two charging contacts on the inside of the case, and there is a microphone hole at the bottom of the leg.
The charging box itself also received very compact dimensions and weight – it is 72.8 x 37.8 x 30.1 mm and 33.4 grams excluding the earbuds. Therefore, putting the charging box in your jeans pocket will not be a big problem.
The body of the charging box is made of matte plastic, which is very pleasant in the hand. I also liked the assembly, because when open, the lid does not play and it opens 90 degrees, but closes thanks to a magnet.
On the front, there are three LED indicators that indicate the battery level. On the opposite side, there is a Type-C port for charging the charging box.
Connection, latency and control
Since Haylou GT3 are budget TWS earbuds, it makes no sense to expect the latest generation of wireless connection. The earbud uses Bluetooth 5.0 version and there is only one SBC audio codec.
At first it seemed to me that this would be another trash, but practice showed a very good result of work, both in terms of communication quality and sound. But I’ll talk about sound in the next section.
Now from myself I can say that the quality of the connection is very good, since I had no problems at a distance of 8-9 meters from the signal source. Also, the signal penetrated well through two walls of my apartment.
But according to my tests, the latency value was about 400 ms and the manufacturer did not set the game mode in the Haylou GT3 earbuds. Therefore, the delay in games will be felt quite significantly, but watching a video on Youtube will not bring you much discomfort.
As I said in the appearance section, Haylou GT3 earbuds received touch control and let’s go through the main features of their work.
- One touch on any of the earbuds produces – play or pause, and you can also accept or reject a phone call.
- Double tapping on the right earbud switches the track forward, and on the left one – backward.
- Triple tapping on any of the earbud channels will activate the voice assistant function on the mobile device.
But I can attribute to the disadvantages – this is the lack of a volume control function.
Sound and quality of microphones
As I said, each Haylou GT3 has one 7.2mm dynamic driver installed. The first thing I will draw your attention to is a fairly good volume level.
In addition, I absolutely loved how the earbuds sound in real life. They sound much brighter and more pleasant than previous generations of earbuds such as the GT5 and others. And also the main competitor QCY T10 does not stand next to the sound quality. Also, the fact that QCY earbuds use armature drivers does not help.
For example, if we talk about low frequencies, then the GT3 model received a good and rather deep bass. As for its price range, low frequencies play very well.
The mids and highs also got a good combination in sound detail and at maximum volume, the earbuds did not wheeze. Overall, this GT3 model is well suited for any genre of music. I especially liked the vocal sound of the performers.
Another advantage that I can highlight is the quality of the microphone. The manufacturer has installed DSP noise suppression in the earbuds. Therefore, in noisy places, I was completely satisfied with the work of the microphones, and at the same time the interlocutors heard me well. But in a quiet place, I did not find any problems with microphones.
Battery and run time
In each Haylou GT3 earbud, the manufacturer installed a 43 mAh battery. During my test, the wireless earbuds were able to run at maximum volume for about 3 hours on a full charge.
I believe that this is not the worst result for this class of devices. At the same time, the battery capacity of the charging box was 600 mAh. Therefore, the total battery life using the charging box was up to 28 hours.
But the earbuds charge pretty quickly. For example, through the charging box, the earbuds will be charged in 1 hour, and charging the box itself will take you about 2 hours through the Type-C connection.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
The new Haylou GT3 wireless earbuds really impressed me in terms of sound quality and a comfortable fit.
In addition, I can attribute to the positive aspects of this earbud model – this is a good build quality and materials used. Also, the device has good touch controls and decent battery life.
If you are looking for inexpensive earbuds with a quality microphone, then the GT3 is a good choice when buying.
But there are also enough disadvantages in this model. For example, the main disadvantages I can attribute are the lack of a game mode and no volume control function. In general, these are very good TWS earbuds that will definitely be able to please their owner with high-quality sound.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
If we compare the prices of previous models of earbuds from Haylou, then the new generation has received a rather high cost.
Look, the Haylou GT3 is currently priced at $26.91 with a 30% discount. But I really liked the GT3 earbuds and especially the sound quality. If we compare the sound quality with its predecessors, the difference is quite significant.
