Despite the fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7, everything indicates that Samsung will not abandon the line and should launch a Galaxy Note 8 in the second half. The manufacturer may have already confirmed the release date, and meanwhile, rumors have surfaced around the device’s specifications. The latest one Galaxy Note 8 rumors are on the screen, which may have the smaller size than expected.
A new rumor surfaced on Monday (15) the involves the size of the display of the next Note, which would be only 6.3 inches, against the speculated 6.4 inches so far. If the information is confirmed, the device will still have a larger panel than the Galaxy S8 Plus, currently the larger of the top two of Samsung’s lineup.
Galaxy Note 8 rumors: Design and Display
Galaxy Note 8 is expected to have many design similarities to the Galaxy S8 Plus. It would bring the same curved display occupying almost the entire front, which should also not bring home button. The dimensions of the device would, therefore, be compact even with 6.3 inches of screen, possibly only slightly larger than the S8 Plus.
Just as in the Galaxy S line, Samsung should increase the Note 8 screen more in height than in width, leaving it with the most elongated ratio 18.5: 9. It is worth noting that this measure makes the display better for viewing content in landscape and for splitting open apps at the same time. On the other hand, it leaves the usable area smaller than the usual 16: 9 ratio.
The rumor also goes back to speculate on the dual camera that may come in the Galaxy Note 8 rumors. Although there are chances that this is not the first of Samsung with the feature, it is likely that the Korean manufacturer takes the news for the new Note – and fight from the front with the iPhone 8.
