Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Desing and Appearance
The design of the Chuwi Hi9 Pro in our analisis is simple and unobtrusive. For the black case, metal was used, leaves a stable impression.
With 17 millimeters at the top and bottom and seven millimeters on the side, the edges are quite large.
Chuwi has not integrated a hardware button or fingerprint sensor into the tablet. The user must, therefore, operate the device completely via on-screen buttons.
Since the rear of the Chuwi Hi9 Pro is firmly glued, the battery can not be changed easily. As usual from other manufacturers, the logo of Chuwi was housed here.
While the Hi9 Pro looks comparably stable at first glance, serious processing defects can be seen when applying pressure.
The metal case of the tablet crackles in some places and thus exposes itself as unstable. The 384-gram is about 9.8 millimeters thick.
One-handed operation is practically impossible due to the size. The 8-megapixel camera on the back and the 5-megapixel camera on the front take on simple, but very blurry images, but for internet video connectivity is OK.
Other connectivity options include a USB Type-C port and a micro SD slot. We also noticed that the charging port is located on the top of the tablet.
On the right side, there are also two buttons for changing the volume and a button for switching the system on and off.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Display
The Chuwi Hi9 Pro in the test has 8.4-inch screen has a 2K resolution with 2560 x 1600 pixels.
This corresponds to a 16:10 display format and a pixel density of 360ppi.
Stable viewing angles and natural colors are achieved through IPS technology. Even with moderate solar radiation, the screen is easy to read.
As negative with respect to the display, the setting options in the software of the device can be considered.
A tablet waking up function via the touch screen is completely missing. In addition, there is no integrated night mode, which reduces the amount of blue from a specified time.
As usual, the touchscreen takes up to ten fingers simultaneously and reacts without major problems.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Hardware and Performance
The Chuwi Hi9 Pro built-in Helio X20 or Mediatek MT6797 processor can compete with current models in high-end tablets, the four-core CPU provides comparatively good benchmark testing.
In everyday life, the performance of the chip can only be considered mediocre. We suspect that this is due to the high resolution of the display and the processor cannot provide the required performance for it.
Under the body can be found in addition to the 3 GB of RAM still 32 GB of flash memory. This part of the operating system is used.
The user has after deduction of the system files still good 29.8 GB of space available, which should be enough for various games and photos.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Software
Many users are likely to be disappointed that the Chuwi Hi9 Pro does not appear as a dual-boot tablet unlike some other devices in the series.
Here it must be noted, however, that the Redmond company does not allow appropriate devices as soon as they run a newer Android version than 5.0.
On the Chuwi Hi9 Pro has Android 8.0 and thus for tablets comparatively current operating system preinstalled.
The stick launcher was not changed by Chuwi. We also did not recognize any bloatware on the tablet.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Connectivity
If you are looking for a tablet with which you would like to access the Internet on the go, the Chuwi Hi9 Pro in the analisis should be an option for you.
The device does have its dual SIM slot and relies on a nearby Wi-Fi network. However, there is the possibility to operate a hotspot with your smartphone and then connect the tablet with this.
The WiFi module supports the b, g, n and ac standards as well as the two frequency ranges of 2.4 and 5 GHz. To pair wireless headphones, you can use the Bluetooth 4.0 modem.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Sound
The built-in speaker was attached to the back of the tablet of Chuwi Hi9 Pro. The problem with this is known: as soon as the device is placed on the table, a slight attenuation of the sound is noticeable.
Nevertheless, this positioning is often better than when the speaker sits on the bottom of the tablet.
Holding the Chuwi Hi9 Pro in landscape mode does not affect the sound. Basically, the sound quality when playing music is average.
While the sound sounds comparatively tinny, the volume of the device is sufficient for the sound of medium-sized rooms.
The owners of headphones without Bluetooth function can be happy: Chuwi has built-in Hi9 Pro still a full 3.5 mm jack output, which can be synonymous with music systems connect to the tablet, for example.
With a large number of new devices, the manufacturers have been doing without the corresponding connection for some time and rely exclusively on digital audio transmission.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Battery
The Chuwi Hi9 Pro has a built-in battery, which has a capacity of 5000 mAh. With an average usage of about two to three hours a day, the device needs to be recharged approximately every two days.
When used intensively, the 5000 mAh only last for one day due to the high-resolution display.
The delivery includes a quick charge adapter that charges the tablet with 5V and 3A. Thus, a complete charge takes just over two hours.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Conclusions and Reviews
In conclusion, I want to say that the new version of the tablet got the best processor, but less RAM and internal memory.
Also, the updated version received 4G LTE network and this is a big plus in comparison with the previous version of Chuwi Hi9.
Everything else like screen and design turned out almost unchanged. The quality of the screen is very good. The performance of the device is very good for its price.
Chuwi Hi9 Pro: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
The price is a very important factor when choosing a tablet. At the moment you can buy Chuwi Hi9 Pro at a good discount and low price for only $ 139.99 from 6 to 12 August.
This is a good offer for today which you will get a good quality tablet for study or games.
