BlitzWolf specializes in a wide variety of products, including categories such as wireless earbuds, speakers, projectors, keyboards, and more. But today’s hero does not belong to any of the above categories. As you can guess from the title, today we will talk about a gaming monitor called BlitzWolf BW-GM3.
In this review, I will share with you all the positive and negative aspects of the new gaming monitor. Do not forget that I have not seen other models of monitors at the BlitzWolf brand before. Have they presented such an advanced version of the device, starting with their first model in the category of monitors?
If we talk about the cost, now the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 gaming monitor will cost the future user a fairly large amount of money, namely $570. Agree, the price is not the sweetest, because just the other day I tested a gaming laptop from Chuwi and it cost almost the same as this monitor model.
But if you look at the technical features, then everything falls into place. For example, the gaming monitor was equipped with a 34-inch curved 1500R screen. The device also comes with a higher refresh rate of 165 Hz and has WQHD resolution. In this case, the value of the color gamut was 120% sRGB, as the manufacturer assures.
Well, judging by the technical specs, the new monitor model from BlitzWolf showed completely flagship features. But will everything be so perfect in real life? Therefore, let me start my full testing and tell you about all the nuances and advantages in an in-depth review.

Unboxing and packaging
Naturally, like most different devices, the new BlitzWolf BW-GM3 monitor comes in a box and let’s talk about it in more detail. The box itself was made of plain cardboard. On its surface, there was only the name of the brand and model, but I did not see the drawing of the device here.
Ok, during unpacking, I found that the manufacturer BlitzWolf packed all the components pretty well inside the box. In addition, the monitor itself and other accessories were fully protected with foam.
Now let’s go through the list of what I was able to find inside the rather big package. This is directly, the monitor itself, a leg, a stand, a power supply unit with a European plug, a DisplayPort cable and instructions for use.
As you can understand, the package contents of the new gaming monitor were not even bad at all. And I also want to mention the dimensions and weight of the package, since they are not entirely compact here. For example, the dimensions of the package were 970 x 428 x 182 mm, and the weight was about 8.2 kg.
Design, build quality and materials
First of all, let me tell you about the build process, which did not take me much time. In fact, assembling the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 gaming monitor took me about 5-10 minutes of personal time. To do this, I took the leg and the base of the monitor, connected the two parts thanks to the bolt and simply hung the monitor screen itself on the leg on the mount.
Anyone can cope with this task, but do not forget that the monitor weighs a lot and is quite large. Therefore, when assembling, it is better to have two people. Since if you accidentally drop the monitor screen, it will cost you a lot to repair.
After assembly, let’s share with you about the dimensions and weight of the monitor itself in the assembled state. For example, BlitzWolf BW-GM3 received a width of 810 mm, a height of 565 mm and a depth of 200 mm. In this case, the weight of the monitor was 5.9 kg. That is, it is a very large and rather heavy monitor.
In this gaming monitor model, I liked the build quality and the materials used in the manufacture. For example, the device was made of an alloy of metal, namely the base of the monitor and legs, as well as matte black plastic. During my testing, I did not detect any squeaks or extraneous sounds.
In addition, the BlitzWolf monitor has a wide range of adjustments. That is, you can tilt the screen to the left or right. And also to lower it vertically, down or up. In practice, I adjusted the monitor exactly to my height and was completely comfortable with playing games or even using it for work purposes.
If we talk about the screen itself, then the frames around the screen turned out to be rather insignificant, except for the bottom. You can also notice that the name of the BlitzWolf company is located on the bottom frame. As I said at the beginning of the review, the monitor got a 1500R rounding. In addition, the monitor has an aspect ratio of 21: 9.
Among other features, the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 monitor stands out for the presence of RGB backlighting, which once again proves its gaming feature. This backlight was located on the back of the display case and came in a wide range of different color options.
Also on the back of the monitor are connections such as a DC port for power, a USB port for a flash drive, one HDMI port with 100Hz refresh rate, two DisplayPort 1.2 ports up to 165Hz, and a headphone jack. That is, the number of external connections is very extensive and I think you will definitely find yourself the necessary port from the above connections.
Of the minuses in terms of design of the BW-GM3, I can single out such features as the lack of built-in speakers. I also did not like that the cables are not hidden in the monitor leg, as on some models from Xiaomi. Therefore, you will not have an aesthetic appearance, since the wires will be visible and this is a little frustrating. Ok, now let’s test the device in real life and test it for playability.
Menu, features and picture quality
At the bottom of the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 monitor case, buttons were installed to control the menu and other settings. Therefore, let me tell you a little about the main menu and its sections.
The first section is the choice of the signal source, followed by the brightness and contrast settings, after which you can adjust the color gamut. In addition, the settings menu offers a choice of adjustments for accuracy, response time, noise, resolution and much more. Also in the settings, you can choose the language of the user interface you need, configure the multi-screen function, set eye protection against blue color and others.
In general, the monitor settings from BlitzWolf are typical, as on most devices and not only this gaming class.
Among other features, the monitor screen is capable of producing 120% sRGB color gamut and this is a very good indicator. This means that the colors will be rendered with the correct shades and you will have no problems when working with photos or video content. Also, the 34-inch monitor displays 16.7 million colors. But the contrast level was within 4000: 1.
If we talk about the maximum brightness value, then the monitor received a good brightness, for its size of 300 nits. In addition, the device has a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz when using DisplayPort, and over HDMI connection the frequency will be up to 100 Hz. But the response time was only 4 ms and as for a gaming monitor, this is not the best indicator. Who else will be interested, the device is compatible with AMD FreeSync technology.
In terms of practical feel, I actually had to get used to such a large screen size. Since my everyday monitor was only 24 inches. And compared to the new 34-inch model, the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 was just a monster. I also had to get used to the 21: 9 aspect ratio. Because it was in games that the wide screen distracted me a bit. But after a couple of days of use, I began to feel the delights of this aspect ratio.
Without a doubt, the curved monitor has shown itself to be very positive. It showed itself like a real gaming machine and while playing games or even watching movies, I got a lot of pleasure from testing it.
From all my tech like PC, laptop and even game console, I have not been able to achieve refresh rates of up to 165Hz in games. Here you need something more powerful than I have. Therefore, in games, the refresh rate was slightly below 165 Hz, but the result was still excellent.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
After more than one week of testing the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 gaming monitor, I was left with a very pleasant experience. There are many more advantages than disadvantages here.
For example, on the positive side, I can single out this good build quality and materials used in the manufacture. Also, the gaming monitor received many useful external connections, including HDMI, USB and most importantly DisplayPort.
From a practical point of view, the monitor screen transmitted a very bright and contrasting picture with wide viewing angles. For example, brightness even at 300 nits was sufficient for indoor use. Naturally, this is a stationary monitor and no one will transfer it to the open air or even from room to room.
Other than that, I liked the large number of features such as AMD FreeSync, Multi-Windows modes, and more. The monitor screen also pleased me with a high sRGB value of 120%, and even for those who like brightness, an RGB backlight was installed on the monitor case.
Of the minuses, I can single out this lack of a cover and grooves in the monitor leg for cable management. So that the appearance and aesthetics does not spoil your desktop or game table. In general, without exception, the new gaming monitor from BlitzWolf is the best in its class.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
Given its technical features and specifications, do not forget that the price tag for the device will not be the sweetest. For example, you can currently buy the BlitzWolf BW-GM3 gaming monitor for $569.30 with a 38% discount.
Thus, I can easily advise you on this monitor model from BlitzWolf, since the features and functions that it contains impressed me very much.
