Mini PCs are not the most frequent guests on our blog, but today a very interesting device called Beelink T4 fell into my hands.
As you guessed from the title of the article, today I will tell you my opinion about the budget version of the mini PC, its performance and technology features.
You can currently buy the Beelink T4 at a low price for just $100 with a good discount.
On the technical side, the mini PC is equipped with an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, a large number of ports for the external interface and a clean, full-fledged Windows 10 operating system.
Before testing the mini PC, I would like to talk a little about the appearance and unpacking.

Beelink T4: Unboxing
A small black box came to me for a review, where the name of the company, the model and the 4K logo are written on the front. Will the mini PC supports 4K resolution high enough for video playback? You will learn a little later in the performance section.
The back surface of the box has the technical characteristics of the device.
Inside the box, I found the following components, such as the Beelink T4 mini PC itself, a little lower under the cardboard partition were the other accessories.
Namely – an HDMI cable, a DP cable, a 12V power adapter, bolts and a metal stand for attaching a mini PC to the back of the monitor case, and instructions.
I was completely satisfied with the kit, especially considering the price of the device at $120. I liked the additional mount for the device, so the Beelink T4 can be attached to any surface so as not to spoil the look of the desktop.
Beelink T4: Design
According to external signs, it is difficult to distinguish a mini PC from a TV box at the present time. As for me, the Beelink T4 looks like a full-fledged TV box, and not a mini PC, given its size.
Our today’s hero received 106 x 106 x 17.7 mm dimensions, and the weight is only 250 grams. Indeed, comparing the small size and weight, a real mini PC will not be able to have good technical features, but I will talk about them a little later.
The case is made of black plastic, and this is a good solution for high-quality heat dissipation. I also wanted to note that the mini PC received active cooling, so there will be no overheating even with heavy loads.
In addition, you can notice a large number of ventilation holes on the side faces and in the lower part of the body.
The upper part received a rather interesting pattern, which looks pretty and unobtrusive in the extreme measure. Here, the device has an Intel logo so that the user does not forget about good performance.
On the front side, there are two USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a power button.
The right side of the face received an additional USB 3.0 port and air vents.
The back surface has the majority of interfaces, such as Ethernet, DP, HDMI, USB 2.0 ports and a connector for a power adapter.
The left side has nothing but ventilation holes for cooling.
The lower part received two rubber strips so that the Beelink T4 mini PC does not slip on the working surface of the table. There are also cooling holes, additional holes for attaching the stand to the monitor or another surface.
I have everything in appearance, I would like to note that the dimensions are very small and if it matters to you, then the Beelink T4 will be a good offer on the mobile market. In terms of build quality and materials, I have no complaints, so let’s talk a little about performance.
Beelink T4: Performance and Tests
Before starting the tests, I would like to talk about the internal filling or specs, as it will be important to find out for many users.
As I already wrote, the Beelink T4 mini PC uses the Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor, which was released back in 2015 in March. I can’t call it modern or highly productive.
The chipset is built on four cores with a minimum frequency of 480 MHz and a maximum of 2240 MHz.
The graphics processes are performed by the Intel HD Graphics 600 chipset, which does its job pretty well.
What about memory? Beelink T4 received 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. In the picture below you can see that the first time you turn it on, you will have 34GB of 64GB of memory available. As for me it is very small and installing a large number of applications, storing films or photos will be problematic.
It’s good that the mini PC received 4 USB ports, so you can connect an external hard drive to store a large amount of memory.
If I started talking about memory, then I want to talk about the speed of the built-in memory. I conducted speed testing through CrystalDiskMark and below you can see the result. On my own behalf, I will say that the data transfer speed is rather weak and the loading speed of the operating system is long.
After that, I wanted to check the operation of 4K video through a browser on YouTube, but here I was surprised since the maximum permissible resolution was only 1080p. I want to note that the video played without any problems and showed smoothly, without delays.
Then I decided to open a video in 4K, 2K, and 1080p formats via a USB flash drive. As it turned out, the first two, namely 4K and 2K resolution, the mini PC did not play, there was just a black screen. But 1080p resolution had no problems with playback.
I also ran a synthetic test called Geekbench 5 and the result was weak for a modern device in 2019.
I expected a good result in wireless communications, as the Beelink T4 received a dual-band WiFi 2.4 and 5.8GHz, also Bluetooth with version 4.0. As practice has shown, the speed of WiFi is not the fastest, so I would recommend using a cable with an Ethernet connection.
Since the device has a full-fledged operating system Windows 10, for me there were no special problems with installing additional games, for example, Asphalt 9.
Through the Windows Play Store, you can install almost any necessary program.
As for the game in Asphalt 9, surprisingly, it works smoothly, but I see that the graphics settings are at a minimum level. I think this device is suitable only for simple tasks, for example, for working in text editors or watching movies with a resolution of 1080p resolution.
Beelink T4: Conclusion and Reviews
The budget mini PC from Beelink showed itself as expected, that is, for office purposes and you should not expect high performance.
Of the minuses, I can note that the Beelink T4 received even a processor from Intel, but of a rather old generation, so the performance is not up to par, as for 2019. Also, I was disappointed that the mini PC does not play 4K format, and the manufacturer guarantees this function, both on its box and on the page of the online store.
Pluses are also present, I can refer to them – this is a compact appearance and the presence of an additional mount on the back of the monitor so as not to clog the working surface of the table. Directly, the presence of an active and most importantly quiet cooler allowed us to avoid strong temperature conditions.
Lastly, I believe that a mini PC is well suited for office purposes if you need to type text or work in other not difficult tasks.
Beelink T4: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
