Beelink GT1 Mini: Package and Unboxing
I ordered the Beelink GT1 Mini on Gearbest for only $59.99.
Delivery time was 17 days from China. For two weeks now I have been using the GT1 Mini and I can share my first impressions.
The package includes an HDMI cable, an interesting shape remote control with a mini USB adapter, brief instructions, and the corresponding power adapter. And of course the Beelink GT1 Mini TV box itself.
As for its price range equipment corresponds to the expectations, but the remote control is very surprised by its shape.
Beelink GT1 Mini: Design and Appearance
As you can see the dimensions of the Beelink GT1 Mini TV boxes are very compact and are 7.70 x 7.70 x 1.70 cm and the weight is only 125 grams.
If you compare the dimensions of the GT1 Mini with the Xiaomi TV box, then the Beelink is much smaller and more compact.
On the front side above, we have the inscription Beelink and ribbed matte surface.
The sides are made of glossy plastic, on the one hand, we see the following ports are microSD slot, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
On the back side, connections are still located AV, Internet, HDMI ports, and a power connector.
On the back, you can see already red plastic with holes for cooling.
As for its appearance, the new TV box Beelink GT1 Mini in the test is very compact, so you can easily hide it behind your TV.
The build quality and assembly materials are reliable and during our test, I had no problems or complaints.
Beelink GT1 Mini: Hardware and Performance
Just plug everything into the slots, press the power button on the remote, and the TV box will boot. Beelink GT1 Mini in our analisis begins its work with an administrator account and is ready to use.
There is nothing particularly to complain about the specifications. Thus, the TV box tested here is not much different from the currently available Android TV boxes.
The Beelink GT1 Mini uses a good and powerful Amlogic S905X2 CPU or a four-core Cortex-A53 chipset.
Also in our version, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory are used, but you can buy 4 and 64GB versions of the console.
As practice shows, even 2GB of RAM is enough for everyday use and multitasking.
As I mentioned above, you can use the slot for a memory card, if the internal memory is small or use a flash drive via USB port.
Beelink GT1 Mini is running the operating system Android 8.1. During our tests, the TV box worked stable and there were no delays.
Below, I would like to share the results of testing Beelink GT1 Mini TV box with various synthetical tests, such as AnTuTu, GeekBench 4 and others.
As you can see, the results are higher than the average among other manufacturers of TV boxes. And you can compare them with the low performance of low-cost smartphones.
Beelink GT1 Mini: Features and Multimedia
In the settings, you can connect your wireless network, and log in to your Google account so you can install applications from the Play Store.
The desktop has a logical structure and can be individualized to a certain extent. In addition, all important settings can be easily found.
Control with the included remote control is optimal and I had no problems with other remotes.
But if you feel discomfort, then you can additionally connect a mouse, keyboard or controller from the Xbox One.
Overall, the performance is fine. Applications load quickly, and user input is processed quickly.
As already mentioned, you can install any applications from the Play Store to get more features and functions from your TV box.
As for streaming applications, I tested YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. Everything works well. The proposed image quality is truly outstanding even in 4K resolution.
The games can also be downloaded and installed from the Play Store. Most games are stable and sometimes failures, but of course, only at the minimum graphics settings. The games like PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 8 and others can be seen on the video below.
On an external media Beelink GT1 Mini in our test, I had a microSD card, an external hard drive, and a flash drive.
All three carriers were detected by the TV box. And I had no problems while playing photos and videos, even in 4K resolution.
You can also surf the Internet using a web browser through the remote control, but I would recommend connecting a wireless mouse and keyboard for more convenience. Therefore, in the browser, you can log into your account from any of the social networks or just read news and reviews without any problems.
