A few days ago we wrote a review about the Alfawise T1 smartwatch, today I would like to share my experience with another product from Alfawise. This is a new fitness tracker or smartband called Alfawise MC50C.
Like the Alfawise T1 wearable device in the form of smartwatches, the new fitness tracker has almost the same price which is $ 25.99.
Currently, it is difficult to compete with manufacturers such as Xiaomi or Huawei, so Alfawise decided to make a very interesting decision.
The new device Alfawise MC50C equipped with a hidden camera 1080p resolution, 150 mAh battery, and support for microSD memory cards up to 64GB.
Let’s begin our full review of the smartband, and we will start with the technical specs.

Alfawise MC50C: Unboxing and Packaging
We got a small black box on the front side that shows the outlines of the bracelet, and inscriptions, such as, HD 1080P above and below the Intelligent Motion Bracelet camera.
Inside the box, we found the following components are the band itself with a protective shipping film on the screen, a micro USB cable, and two instructions for the watch and for the application.
The packaging as for the band is standard and we did not find anything extra. Let’s take a closer look at the appearance of the fitness tracker.
Alfawise MC50C: Design and Appearance
Like most wristbands already on the mobile market, the new Alfawise MC50C has a very similar design in our test.
The front panel houses a 0.42-inch monochrome OLED display, exactly the same as the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. As for modern watches, this is an old screen technology, but it can increase the battery life of the device.
As for the quality of the screen? In the room or in the dark, the visibility of the screen is very good. But if you go out into the sunlight, you will not see anything.
This is a problem not only for the Alfawise MC50C but also for the major manufacturer Xiaomi Mi Band 2 and even Mi Band 3.
The dimensions and weight of the fitness bracelet are 26.00 x 2.20 x 1.30 cm and 32 grams. Due to the built-in camera, the thickness of the bracelet is slightly larger than that of competitors, for example, the Mi Band 3 has a thickness of 1.2 cm.
The fitness tracker of the strap is made of soft and pleasant material to the touch. During testing, I did not have any problems with the strap, the fastener holds the grip well and there was no hint that it would unzip.
A removable module is placed inside the strap, so you can easily change it to another strap if the original is worn.
This is very similar to the Mi Band 2, since the capsule is removed very easily, and over time the rubber will stretch and the capsule may rub off.
If you recall this problem was common in Mi Band 2, but in the next generation of Mi Band 3, it decided, and the capsule is held well, very tightly.
Let’s talk a little about the capsule of the smartband itself. It is made of solid quality plastic, which is very durable. The build quality is good and I did not notice any complaints during testing.
On the back of a smartband is the inscription of the company Alfawise. From this, it can be understood that the manufacturer did not decide to install sensors for heart and blood pressure, as is the case with its competitors.
On the front panel at the bottom of the screen was a hidden camera. Alfawise decided to prioritize on a completely different function than the heart rate sensor. We’ll talk about the camera itself later.
On the left side of the fitness tracker Alfawise MC50C in our analisis, there are three control buttons. The top button is the mode switch on the screen. In the middle is a button for photos or sound recording. And the last is a button to record video.
On the right side, there is a hole for the microphone and an indicator that tells us whether the video is recording or not. Also during charging the device indicator lights up red.
At the bottom of the capsule there is nothing, but on top, there is a micro USB port for charging and a slot for a microSD card up to 64GB.
As for the fitness tracker, Alfawise MC50C in our test is a standard design with a pleasant appearance. The quality of the material and assembly at a good level. With a long wearing smartband, I had no problems. Let’s talk about the features now.
Alfawise MC50C: Functions
Like almost any fitness tracker, in the main menu of the Alfawise MC50C, you will find the following features. The first menu indicates the current time and date.
Next, a pedometer that shows how many steps you have already completed for the current day.
The next tab is the distance.
Then we see how many calories were burned while walking or running.
And the percentage that indicates how many steps you have taken from your daily goal.
As I wrote above, this smartband does not have a heart rate and blood pressure sensor, as the Xiaomi Mi Band series has.
The main feature of a smartband in the test is the presence of a camera. Alfawise MC50C is capable of shooting video with a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels and 30 frames per second. As for such a small band, this is a good result, but what about in practice. Below you can see an example of video shooting.
From the video you can understand that the quality of shooting is not the best, the picture always jumps and when the band on your hand is difficult to capture a specific object. If you learn to be able to shoot secret videos.
In addition to video shooting, the Alfawise MC50C smartband in our analisis is capable of taking photos with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels in JPG format. The quality of the photos is similar to the quality of the video.
Also, the smartband MC50C can record sound like a voice recorder. The sound will be saved to the memory card, as well as photos and videos. The sound will be in .WAV format.
In addition, the camera can be used as an action camera. If you are engaged in extreme sports, then perhaps this band with the Alfawise MC50C camera will be useful for you.
The smartband can be connected to the smartphone using the application and then you can get a notification of calls and messages. Let’s talk a little about the application itself.
Alfawise MC50C: Application
The Alfawise MC50C smartband has a Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connection. With the application called FangZouDiu, you can follow some of the band functions.
You can download the application through the QR code in the instructions or directly on the Play Store.
After while you have installed the app, you need to connect it to a smartband. Make it very easy in the settings menu of the application.
The main menu of the application shows the steps completed and what goal is set, you can also see the distance traveled and how many calories were spent.
In the application menu, you can find the following fields, such as Health Settings, My Device, Message Management, and which device version is installed.
Synchronizing an application with a smartband in our test can be very useful for those who are engaged in an active lifestyle. Therefore, from the obtained schedule in the application, you can make any analyzes and conclusions about the goals achieved.
Alfawise MC50C: Battery
The fitness tracker Alfawise MC50C received 150 mAh battery capacity. This figure is even more than the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 which has a 110 mAh battery.
Therefore, I can say that the autonomous operation of the Alfawise smartband will be better. Standby time will be about 30 days.
Also, the band is able to record the video for one hour, if the battery was fully charged.
The charge time of the band is about 1 hour. Therefore, if you have a power bank at hand, you can quickly charge your smartband.
Alfawise MC50C: Conclusions and Reviews
The Alfawise MC50C smartband in our review is not exactly the usual wearable device that we could already see. The device will be useful for the implementation of covert shooting or for capturing your extreme moments.
The design and appearance are very similar to the existing models of fitness trackers. The build quality of the smartband has no complaints.
Of course, there are also negative aspects of a smartband, for example, the absence of any protection from water and dust. Therefore, the use of a band underwater is generally not recommended.
The lack of a heart rate sensor and blood pressure does not make the smartband less productive. The manufacturer had to abandon certain functions in order to install a hidden camera within the budget.
Alfawise MC50C: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Currently, you can already order and buy a smartband Alfawise MC50C at a low price for only $25.99 at a 25% discount.
This is a modern fitness tracker, which is competitive in its price and specs of many models, such as Xiaomi and Huawei. For its attractive price and a set of equipped features, it will be a good device for everyday life.
