This is not the first test of this section will be the Alfawise M1 electric scooter in our review today. Yes, Alfawise is also in the scooter!
This following the acquisition of Ninebot specialized in the field. I have this scooter since the beginning of the year, which has been tested for several months intensively.
I fell behind the drafting, but here is finally my return on this scooter that is so furious.
In this article, we will consider all aspects and decide what opportunities the new electric scooter from Alfawise can provide us. So, let’s start with specs of it.

Alfawise M1: Delivery and Packaging
Ordered at Gearbest, I received this scooter in about a month. The wait was a little long, but the package arrived safely, without any customs fees.
Do not worry, anything too bad for the assembly: it will be just the handlebars, otherwise the whole would have taken up too much space.
Inside the box, we find the scooter Alfawise M1, its charger, a small mounting key, a tip to inflate the tires, and a small notice.
The small key will be used for the handlebar assembly. Two small screws to tighten, and voila. So, let’s see the appearance of the new device.
Alfawise M1: Desing and Appearance
As for the assembly materials, there are no questions here. Everything is done with high quality and reliable.
The case is made from the high-grade aluminum alloy that can withstand weight up to 100kg.
The dimensions and weight of Alfawise M1 are completely the same lice Xiaomi M365 which make up this 108.00 x 48.00 x 114.00 cm and 12.5kg.
That’s our handlebars in place. On this one there is a manual bell on the left and on the right a handle to push with the thumb which will serve to accelerate.
The center of the handlebar shows the start button. It is a multi-purpose button, as it will serve both to turn on/off the scooter, turn on the headlights, or switch to energy saving mode.
When lit, LEDs display the battery level. If the bottom one is lit in green, the energy-saving mode is activated.
At the front, there is a LED lighthouse, which will be very convenient to return at night, both to be seen than to see the road. The fire lights up pretty well!
The Alfawise M1 scooter has real inflatable tires, 8.5 inches. The front wheel contains the motor (engine with a power of 500w).
At the rear, you can see the disc braking system. Note that the Alfawise M1 in the test offers a double braking: the front wheel has indeed an anti-lock system E-ABS.
In practice, the braking distance can be reduced to just 4m. Be careful though, it brakes hard!
The underside hides the battery. Two batteries LG 1850 EV-lithium-ion with a capacity of 280Wh (18650mAh), which in theory allows transporting a 100kg man over a distance of 30 km to 20 km/h average speed.
On the side, a cover conceals the connector for the power supply.
The Alfawise M1 in our analisis is a foldable scooter, to be able to transport it more easily. After loosening the handle on the back of the handlebars, this one comes to bend.
The handlebars can then come to rest on the rear wheel. The bell has a small ring that hooks onto the rear fender to keep the scooter bent.
By taking it by the handlebars one can then transport it quite easily.
Attention, we will not make miles carrying it: the beast is still 12.5kg. The batteries weigh a little. Fortunately, the scooter itself is made of an aluminum alloy quality.
All give a real feeling of quality and strength. We are very far from children’s scooters, here we have a beautiful product that is very classy, and even a suit tie in Europe, we will have no shame.
Alfawise M1: Using and Working
For the use, nothing more simple: we first light the scooter, we put a foot on it, then we give a shot or two with the other foot to take a little momentum while pressing the joystick acceleration right on the handlebars. And you’re gone!
The joystick works like any accelerator: the more you press the faster you go (up to 27km/h anyway).
To slow down, we release of course the accelerator, and we do not try to press like a brute on the brake lever. I already said, but it brakes hard.
As mentioned above, the start button also makes it possible to light the lights, or to pass the machine in energy saving mode (via three successive presses).
In this mode, the scooter has a little less “fishing” (peak at 18km/h instead of 25km/h), but as the saying goes, “who wants to travel far is keeping his horse”.
In this mode, you will have a little more autonomy and you will go further.
But that’s not all. This Alfawise M1 is also connected, thanks to a Bluetooth connection. Just install the application that we know now (or the Ninebot application, compatible too). In seeking to add a new product, the scooter should be detected automatically.
We then access the control screen of the Alfawise M1, which shows us the current speed, battery status, average speed, etc.
If you hang your smartphone on the scooter (using a bicycle stand, for example), you can have your dashboard as a car.
The screen also locks his scooter: without the application and password to unlock it, no one can start it to escape with.
Convenient to give it time to buy bread, especially as its weight will complicate the life of a possible thief.
Via the menu, at the top right, you can then access various functions and information.
A particularly interesting option is “Energy Recovery Strength”. We have indeed on this scooter a system of kinetic energy recovery.
In other words, energy is recovered during braking to recharge the battery, which increases the autonomy of it.
Only this has an impact on the quality of braking, which is more or less flexible. So we can adjust that on three different levels.
The app also allows you to set a cruise control. It starts after 5 seconds when you reach your cruising speed. Convenient, because after a while we have a little sore thumb by pressing the accelerator.
Finally, it also integrates a BMS intelligent battery management system. You can thus know the conditions of the battery in the application.
The last screen allows following the statistics on the kilometers made.
Alfawise M1: Conclusions and Reviews
Many years ago that I had not done a scooter: But it’s like cycling, it is not forgotten, and we must admit that this scooter Alfawise M1 in our review makes life easier by its quality.
A wide platform to put both feet without the problem, a very smooth driving, a smooth acceleration.
Despite this, a top speed rather bluffing, since one can easily type at 27km/h.
Walking around in town or in the country is really nice, especially as its tires dampen shocks quite well.
The quality of manufacture, it is without reproach. But we expected no less from the Chinese manufacturer, who excels in all its products. However, there are a few things to note.
However it will be impossible to fold it on a wheel to carry it, so it will be necessary to wear it.
And its 12kg do not allow to wear it very long. When its dimensions folded (1m long), it remains bulky.
Not quite the 30km that is mentioned everywhere. This remains honorable.
Alfawise M1: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
After, the strong argument in his favor is, of course, its price, since it is between $300 and $350 directly in China (do not hesitate to take a look on the page of good prices, coupons of reduction are often available).
Faced with models at $500, the Alfawise M1 is a formidable competitor. Not perfect, but at this price is probably the best value for money on the market.
I also want to please, because right now will be Black Friday, some stores have already started to make good discounts on products. Now you can buy a scooter for $309.99 at a 43% OFF discount.
