1More company is known for its high-quality headphones, both in sound and in assembly, and it is quite difficult to assign them to the budget category. Today I have a completely new neckband earbud model called 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro.
In this review, I want to talk about my experience with use, in addition to this, I will share my observations about the advantages and disadvantages.
As I already mentioned, the 1More brand does not produce budget devices, so the price tag for the new 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro earbuds is quite high. Currently, you can buy a new model for $145, agree that not so little.
But I can say with confidence that the 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro earbuds have everything you need to get high-quality sound. For example, they can boast of hybrid drivers, such as the 13.6 mm dynamic and balanced armature drivers.
In addition, there is active noise cancellation ANC, the ability to use a wireless and wired connection through the Type-C port, IPX5 water protection, and much more.
Let’s find out what the new flexible neckband earbuds are capable of and whether they will be better than regular flagship TWS earbuds.
1More Dual Driver ANC Pro: Specifications
|1More Dual Driver ANC Pro:||Specs|
|Driver unit:||13.6mm Dynamic + Balanced Armature Drivers|
|Bluetooth protocol:||LADC, AAC and SBC|
|Charging Time:||60 min|
A fairly large box came to me to review, where on the front you can see a picture of earbuds, a company logo, and many features.
For example, these are four built-in microphones, fast charging, hybrid drivers, Hi-Res audio sound, and others.
The box opens like a book and various sketches of the device are drawn from the inside, as it was designed.
The earbuds with a neckband are located on the right side.
A little lower there are two separate boxes and silicone ear tips of various sizes, starting from 11 mm and ending with 15.5 mm.
Inside the boxes I found a Type-C charging cable, also a 3.5 mm Type-C cable, a nice bag for transporting earbuds, and of course there is a small stack of documentation.
Definitely, the equipment is fully consistent with its price. Inside the box there is everything you need and even more for the full use of earbuds in terms of practice.
I think many agree with me that the appearance of neckband earbuds is a bit outdated. Also, many users purchase this option for sports, and not for everyday use.
1More Dual Driver ANC Pro – ideal for sports in the gym or at the stadium. As practice has shown, the earbuds sit well in the ear canal, and even while running, they did not fall out.
But I would like to note that the neckband itself jumps while running or jumping, so it annoyed me a little. Despite this, I could wear earbuds for about 2 hours and not feel discomfort.
If we talk about weight, then each earbud weighs about 6 grams, and with a neckband, the weight will be about 45 grams.
The bendable neckband got a nice silicone material that connects the two parts of the headphones. In addition, it can be easily twisted and packaged in a compact pouch.
On the left side of the neckband, there is a plug with a Type-C port for charging. There is also a mechanical power button and next to the ANC button with various modes. In addition, from the inside there is a volume rocker and a play/pause button.
On the right side of the neckband installed 160 mAh battery capacity.
As for the earbuds themselves, they are made of glossy plastic. But it is worth noting that the quality of the plastic is quite high quality. That is, it does not leave any fingerprints.
The sound guide has the correct shape for both the ear canal and, as I already wrote, wearing the 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro is a pleasure.
In general, I do not have anything else with regard to building quality, but here is the look – it is not for everybody. Therefore, I think that this neckband design is not suitable for many users.
Connection and Sound quality
As I mentioned, the earbuds received two types of pairing with a mobile device. The first is the standard wireless method via Bluetooth 5.0 connection, and the second via the cable that is included in the package.
The first pairing with a smartphone is very simple and ordinary, as for most TWS earbuds.
As for audio codecs, 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro has in its arsenal – LADC, AAC, and SBC codecs. If you use the first LADC, then there are no delays when watching videos on YouTube, the same applies to games.
The signal quality during my test was always stable and I did not find any interruptions or breaks in communication.
Inside each earbud, there is a 13.6 mm dynamic driver that provides low-frequency operation, and a balanced armature driver is responsible for medium and high frequencies.
Indeed, thanks to the large dynamic driver, low frequencies sound very rich and loud. There is a strong bass that does not overload another frequency range.
The middle and high frequencies have clear sounds, the sound quality is very clear and every musical instrument plays amazingly.
If you enable the ANC mode, the sound quality starts to float a bit, especially when it comes to mid and high frequencies. They become less clear and here I would recommend that you play a little with the equalizer.
As I mentioned, the 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro earbuds received two active noise canceling modes. This is a weak and strong mode of operation, that is, you can choose one of them, depending on where you are and what noise you have nearby, strong or not.
If you compare the work of ANC with the top models of wireless earbuds, then 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro resembles the work of Apple AirPods Pro. Although, when compared with the Sony WF-1000XM3, then the 1More model is a bit below the ideal.
The microphone quality is really good, even in noisy places the microphone removes unnecessary and extraneous noise. Thus, your interlocutor will hear you clearly.
I already mentioned that rather large battery capacity of 160 mAh was installed inside the earbuds. Therefore, the earbuds 1More Dual Driver ANC Pro shows a pretty good result in terms of battery life.
A full charge with the ANC turned off will provide you with about 20 hours of operation, and with the ANC turned on about 15 hours.
In addition, there is a quick charge and 10 minutes of charging will provide you with about 3 hours of listening to music. A full charge will take you about 1 hour.
Conclusion and Reviews
1More Dual Driver ANC Pro is a new improved earbud that has a number of positive aspects, but also could not do without negative aspects.
For example, earbuds with a neckband got a bright sound with rich and deep bass. Undoubtedly, the earbuds play perfectly, and the ANC active noise canceling is up to the mark.
As for the build quality and materials used, I have no complaints. The battery life, even with the ANC turned on, will be enough for any long-haul flights on the plane.
For ease of wearing, they sit well and do not lead to severe fatigue. But it is worth noting that the neckband will jump while running or jumping.
