Vivo is famous for producing flagship smartphones that revolutionized the mobile device market. And as for the category of budget devices? Here, too, everything is excellent and even better than some competitors. And today I want to talk about a new model called the Vivo U3X in our review.
In this article, I will try to reveal all the main features of the U3X smartphone, its pros, and cons.
The price of the Vivo U3X is a little less than $130 and I was a little surprised by the technical part of the device.
The budget model of the U3X smartphone received a 6.35-inch screen, a modern Snapdragon 665 chip, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, a triple camera and 5000 mAh battery capacity.
Excellent technical stuffing for little money, if you are interested, then proceed to the review, starting with the look.

Vivo U3X: Design and Screen
For a relatively low price, the Vivo U3X smartphone received not only a modern appearance but also a high-quality assembly of materials.
On the front of the device is a large 6.35-inch screen with a Halo FullView Display and a resolution of HD+ that is 1544 x 720 pixels.
In normal viewing, I do not see individual pixels, and using a smartphone even with HD resolution did not become a problem for me.
The U3X uses a screen with an aspect ratio of 19.3: 9, which occupies 89.04% of the front surface of the device.
On the top of the front panel is installed a front camera in the waterdrop notch and a speaker.
On the back, in the upper left corner, is the main camera with three sensors, just below the dual flash and in the center is a fingerprint scanner.
By control, everything is standard, on the right side, there are a volume rocker and a power button.
On the left side, there is a separate slot for two SIM cards and a microSD memory card, it’s very good that it is not a hybrid slot.
The lower edge has – the main speaker, microphone, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The dimensions of the Vivo U3X are 159.43 x 76.77 x 8.92 mm and weight 190.5 grams. In the hand, the smartphone does not look big and lies comfortably.
The color scheme is universal and you can choose from Deep Lake Blue, Red Tea Red and Midnight Black to your liking.
Vivo U3X: Performance and Software
Of course, the main feature of the Vivo U3X is its good performance thanks to the Qualcomm processor, namely the Snapdragon 665. It is difficult to see budget smartphones with a pretty good and new processor and considering the price is lower than $130 – this is just wonderful.
You can also order 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 and 64 GB of internal memory. There is a separate slot for a memory card up to 256 GB.
This processor is already installed on Xiaomi Mi A3, Redmi Note 8, Realme R5 and the result in performance is good. For example, in the AnTuTu test with the Snapdragon 665 chipset, devices score about 175 thousand points.
In real life, performance will suffice with ahead, both for everyday tasks and heavy games, for example, PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 9 and many other games will work without any problems.
The Vivo U3X has the Android 9 Pie operating system with the Funtouch OS 9.1 user interface.
What is special about this system? Here you can find a lightweight mode of operation that will allow the use of a smartphone even for older people.
Besides, if you like to play heavy games, then you will need an ultra game mode. The Dual-Turbo function allows you to reduce the number of frames per second to make the gameplay smoother.
Otherwise, all functions and options work smoothly and without any delays or lags.
Vivo U3X: Camera
Even though this is a budget smartphone, the Vivo U3X received three sensors on the main camera.
The first main sensor has a resolution of 13 megapixels with f/2.2 aperture, the second at 8 megapixels with f/2.2 aperture for ultra-wide photos and the last at 2 megapixels with f/2.4 aperture for bokeh effect.
An 8-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture is installed on the front.
As for the state employee, the quality of photos in the daytime is good, but there is a little noise in the night shots, which is typical for this category of devices.
Vivo U3X: Communication
The device received a wireless connection – Wi-Fi with DUAL BAND (dual-band), GPS module, Bluetooth version 5.0, 4G LTE connection to both SIM cards. There is also a face recognition function, but it will not work in the dark.
The presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack allows you to listen to FM radio without any problems. In general, everything is standard in communication.
Vivo U3X: Battery
I was a little surprised that a 5000 mAh battery was installed on the Vivo U3X, which can last about 2 days with active use.
Indeed, as the manufacturer indicates, the time of watching films is 18 hours, and if you play games – about 10 hours on a single charge.
Although the micro USB port is used for charging, thanks to the presence of fast charging at 18W, the charging time of the U3X is about 2 hours.
Vivo U3X: Conclusions and Reviews
Without further ado, the Vivo U3X smartphone has a nice and stylish look with iridescent colors on the back.
The good performance of the Snapdragon 665 processor allows you to enjoy heavy games, but with average graphics settings.
The presence of a wide-angle sensor at 120 degrees will allow you to take pictures with a large capture of elements.
The large battery capacity and HD screen resolution will make your smartphone long-lived on a single charge.
Vivo U3X: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
Now you can buy a budget Vivo U3X smartphone at a low and decent price for only $128.35 with a 21% discount.
Given its low price and good technical stuffing, I can certainly recommend a smartphone for purchase.
