Teclast P10 Review: Modern 10.1-inch Tablet like iPad 2017

Teclast P10 Review: Modern 10.1-inch Tablet like iPad 2017

We already wrote about the fact that we have a device in our office runs Android 7.1. So now it’s time to get acquainted with this device in more detail. It’s about a tablet Teclast P10 in our review with a 10.1-inch and 1920 x 1200 pixels, running on a Rockchip processor, and even with a battery for 5200mAh.

If this did not convince you of the coolness of this device, then the last argument is the price. For this gadget, the manufacturer asks for only $130.

Teclast P10: Design and Appearance

In general, the tablet Teclast P10 in test really looks like an iPad. But to say that the device completely copies Apple’s solution, definitely not.

Almost the entire front part, as expected, takes up the screen. It’s 10.1-inch, the aspect ratio is 16: 9. There are no control buttons, they are on-screen. As for the faces, the right and upper parts are empty (nothing is placed on them at all). But on the right, engineers have already placed a slot for microSD memory cards and a place for a SIM card.

Actually, from the very name, it was clear that the device supports working with 3G. It’s funny that Android has a dialer, although there is no conversational dynamics per se. But the front camera (no, not for Selfie, namely for video calls) is present. From the bottom, you can find a micro USB connector, an audio output for headphones and a mini HDMI port.

On the back cover (it’s here, by the way, metal) there is a camera, two speakers (they produce a loud enough sound, although it’s clear that the quality is far from the best) and a bunch of inscriptions in Chinese.

But the native and familiar “Rockchip Inside” logo certainly pleases the eyes. In general, the first thing you pay your attention to when you take the tablet into your hands is weight. It here is 524 grams.

On the one hand, it’s a lot, but on the other hand – the same iPad Air weighs not much less – 469 grams. Yes, and the battery in our “main character” corresponding – 5200mAh (but more on this later).

The device of Teclast P10 in analisis itself is thin enough – about 9.9 millimeters. In general, I have no complaints about the assembly. Nothing creaks and does not bend.

On the left side, there is a paired volume control button and a lock button. In general, I would like to say a few words about the dimensions – 24.00 x 16.80 x 0.99 cm.

In principle, personally, it was convenient for me to keep the device in both a horizontal orientation and in a vertical orientation. When it comes to tablets, this is a very important indicator for me.

Teclast P10: Screen

As I wrote above, the 10.1-inch tablet Teclast P10 in review display boasts a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. The glass is protected (there were no scratches on it during the test), but not the fact that Gorilla Glass is used here.

By the way, the matrix here is IPS, and the viewing angles are decent. There are no problems with this.

The maximum brightness of the display is quite high, so even under direct sunlight with readability, everything is in order. Yes, and the minimum brightness allows you to safely use the device, even in total darkness.

As for the last parameter, if you like to read something useful before going to bed, and not 50 shades of gray, then this parameter should be paid attention when buying any device.

Teclast P10: Hardware and Performance

As for the “hardware“, the processor here is the Rockchip RK3368 1.5GHz Octa Core, the graphics are PowerVR SGX6110, and the RAM is 2 GB. All this bundle gives out in AnTuTu 32 thousand balls.

For a $130, as for me, this is a very decent result. That is, this is enough to run even the heaviest games, but in the same Dead Trigger 2, it’s better not to play at the maximum settings to get more fps.

The NenaMark test, for example, shows 54-55 frames per second. The internal memory in our case is 32 GB, but there is also a 64GB version.

In principle, this is quite enough even for two systems, considering that the memory can be expanded with microSD cards.

I repeat that for Android this stuffing is enough, but with Windows, the situation is less joyful: the system generally slows down (this is noticeable in almost any task, even when working in the browser when you flip the only open page).

Teclast P10: Features and Software

In general, before turning to the story about hardware and software, I want to tell you about one interesting case of using this tablet. It can be connected to the monitor with a conventional HDMI – mini HDMI cord.

At the output, you get almost an ordinary computer running a full Android 7.1. That is, you can do any tasks.

Teclast P10: Camera

The main camera here is 5 megapixel. The front module is also available, at 2 megapixels. The photos are not of the best quality, you can see the examples below.

To be honest, I was even a little disappointed with the photo capabilities of this tablet. Therefore, in this case, it is better to remember the IT proverb: “Adequate person on the tablet will not be photographed exactly.

“As for the “frontline”, you can not even think about Selfie, the maximum for what it’s good for – conversations on Skype.

Teclast P10: Battery

Also one of the decisive factors in choosing a tablet is autonomy. For the time of operation in the Teclast P10 is responsible for a battery of 5200mAh. Which is not enough.

In real conditions, this is enough for about two days of use. Although if you play games all the time, then the account goes for hours. Also, I was a little surprised that the autonomous system does not depend on the chosen operating system.

Personally, it’s important to me that the tablet holds a charge for a long time, and Teclast P10 copes with it perfectly. True, to the detriment of ease. As I said, the device weighs 524 grams.

Teclast P10: Conclusions and Reviews

I will be honest – I liked the Teclast P10. There are, of course, some nuances, but there are enough pluses, you must agree.

For $130, you can get FHD-screen, Rockchip RK3368 processor, 5200mAh battery life and operating systems Android 7.1.

We add to this all the cool appearance (an inexperienced eye can even take it for an iPad) and get a device that can be seriously considered for purchase. Especially if your budget is limited. Even some “readers” are more expensive.

Teclast P10: Price and Buy cheaper

Now, as I said, you can buy a tablet Teclast P10 in review for only $114.99 with coupon: TP10SIT and it’s really an interesting price for an excellent look and performance.
