Review Xiaomi Redmi 4X: 5-inch phone with Snapdragon 435

Why, why or why probably nobody knows. But for the Xiaomi Redmi 4 with the Xiaomi Redmi 4X now the fourth variant. This is available in the 2 + 16GB as well as 3 + 32 GB version from 98,78 € on Gearbest.com.

The 5-inch display is resolved with 1280 × 720 pixels as with the Redmi 4A and Redmi 4. As a processor, the Snapdragon 435 octa-core has now been used at 1.4 GHz, with the “normal” Redmi 4 still being based on the Snapdragon 430 quad-core processor.

The memory is expandable and a fingerprint sensor is also available. Furthermore, you can also access LTE (without tape 20).

Why the pretty solid Xiaomi Redmi 4 gets so fast an update you do not really understand. Especially since the already quite unmanageable smartphone market is filled with a further model, that in the core hardly differ from the predecessor.

Reviews / Experiences / Opinions

Visually, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X makes a pretty good figure but is hardly different from the Redmi 4 / Prime. The used Snapdragon 435 does not really deliver more power (44,000 Antutu points) than the 425 or 430 Snapdragon of the two smaller predecessors. Only the old Redmi 4 Prime model uses the faster Snapdragon 625 processor.

The 13 megapixel camera is now to make some better pictures and will probably only overshadowed by the great Redmi Note 4X. The phone and GPS reception should also be very good. Unfortunately, you have to do without LTE 20. The global version that includes this frequency is not yet available or is difficult to obtain.
