Oppo has launched one of the latest devices in its line of Oppo F Smartphones, which for several years has been stepping on the mid-range terminal segment with the Oppo F1 and Oppo F2 models. This year 2017 the Oppo F3 was launched, whose main feature is the inclusion of a dual selfie camera that guarantees a superior quality of the autofocus, as well as other features that place it as a strong competitor against traditional brands. In this opportunity, I bring you a brief analysis of the Oppo F3 Plus, the improved version of the F3 that has just hit the market and includes improvements in several features that already in themselves were unbelievable in their ‘younger brother’.
If you want to know more about the standard version of F3 I invite you to see the analysis I made a few weeks ago of Oppo F3.
Oppo F3 Plus: Specifications and Review
Before starting I leave you a table with the technical specifications of the Oppo F3 Plus, which I will explain later in detail.
Oppo F3 Plus: Design, construction, and display
Like other mid-range smartphones designed by the Chinese manufacturer, the Oppo F3 Plus has a design and build quality that will not disappoint almost anyone. The mobile has a body made of metal that gives a solid feeling, also has rounded edges, so it is easy to hold and carry, as it has a weight of only 185 grams, is still a large mobile, so Which may be difficult for some people to handle with one hand.
The Oppo F3 Plus has dimensions of 163.6 x 80.8 x 7.4 mm and a 6-inch screen surrounded by fairly thin bevels. Like the Oppo F3, this Plus version has capacitive buttons, a fingerprint sensor, and a Hybrid Dual SIM slot, so you can have two SIM cards simultaneously or the SIM + MicroSD card configuration.
For its part, the 6-inch screen has Full HD resolution, with a color depth of 367 pixels per inch, thanks to it is quite good for viewing multimedia content. It is also protected by a glass Gorilla Glass 5.
Finally, the rear part of the equipment has a flat appearance, just like the view in Oppo F3 and with only the main camera as a remarkable element. Among the ports with the Oppo F3 Plus is (in addition to the Hybrid Dual SIM slot) a micro USB port (not type C) and a 3.5mm headphone jack (included in the box).
Oppo F3 Plus: Hardware and Cameras
The Oppo F3 Plus is equipped with a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable up to 256Gb by micro SD card, average specs that are tailored to take advantage of screen size with multimedia content. The battery is of Li-Ion and has a capacity of 4000 mAh that I consider fair, but that with a moderate use could reach a duration of a whole day.
For its part, the most attractive part of the Oppo F3 Plus are its cameras, the front has a camera with two sensors, which have higher resolution than the standard version of the F3. These sensors are 16 MP + 8 MP, with f / 2.0 aperture and f / 2.4 respectively, so it is able to take pictures with a wider depth of field, ideal for getting genius group selfies with more friends than usual, With a high quality of the image and a very reduced noise.
On the other hand, the main camera is also 16 MP, with an aperture of f / 1.7 and is able to get excellent pictures in both favorable lighting conditions and partial dark conditions have PDAF and can record videos in 4K.
Oppo F3 Plus: Operating system and connectivity
The Oppo F3 Plus has the operating system ColorOS 3.0, which we have already seen in other devices of the manufacturer and which is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. It has some icons that look similar to iOS, but it is not a cheeky copy like the one used by other Chinese manufacturers.
In addition, the operating system of the Oppo F3 Plus has a feature ‘Lockscreen magazine’ that makes changing the wallpaper randomly based on different categories to choose. This can be disabled if it is not necessary. It also has a backup service called O-Cloud for your contacts and SMS.
On the other hand, the preinstalled applications include Google Suite, Facebook, Instagram and WPS Office. Oppo also has its own app store for those who do not wish to log into the Play Store.
The Oppo F3 Plus includes Wi-Fi b / g / n / a dual band, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS-AGPS and USB-OTG, as well as support for 3G and 4G LTE mobile networks.
