Recently, Lenovo without any advertising hype quietly and modestly released its new fitness bracelet Lenovo HW02 Plus. Judging by the price and functionality, it should compete with the famous Xiaomi Mi Band 2.
In Lenovo HW02 Plus capsule with electronic stuffing, screen and strap are a single whole. On the one hand, this makes it impossible to change the straps in case they are damaged. But you cannot be afraid that the capsule accidentally pops out and gets lost.[coupon title=”Lenovo HW02 Plus MIO PAI Smartband” url=”https://goo.gl/7am9f6″ code=”Presale Price” reveal=”true” image=”http://www.awaqa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/11_1-1.jpg” theme=”base red” description=”Coupon Price: $39.46

Lenovo HW02 Plus: Appearance and Design
Lenovo HW02 Plus is like at first sight. In many respects, it is the merit of a brilliant large screen that looks very stylish. It adds a pleasant sensation and a soft silicone strap that rests securely and tightly on your wrist.
By the way, it is quite long, so the bracelet will suit both fragile girls and big men. When wearing a bracelet is almost not felt, so after a while, you simply forget about his presence.
The information is displayed on an OLED screen 0.42 inches with a resolution of 40 × 72 pixels. Numbers and symbols are bright and easy to read even in bright sunlight.
In the normal state, the screen is completely dark, which is necessary to increase the autonomy of the device. You can activate the display of time, steps, calories and other information by touching one of the edges of the screen where the sensor is located.
The second way is to make the move with your hand as if you are looking at the clock. In this case, the screen turns on for a few seconds, and then the lights go out.
Lenovo HW02 Plus: Hardware and Performance
The Lenovo HW02 Plus is an additional device for your smartphone, which is connected to this via a Bluetooth 4.2. So far there are no problems with connectivity; synchronization with the application support is easy.
The smart band has major features such as the pedometer, heart rate monitor, and sleep monitor and calorie burn meter. Then have a brief overview of the above features.
Lenovo HW02 Plus: Main functions
Lenovo HW01 can display time in two modes. If you make a special movement of the hand to activate the screen, then the readings on it will be located vertically. It’s convenient for a quick glance at the clock.
If you touch the sensor, you will see more detailed data. Together with the hours and minutes, the display shows the date, battery level, and Bluetooth status. The Lenovo HW02 Plus is synchronized with the smartphone, which, in turn, is checked against the Internet. So you cannot doubt that HW01 always shows the exact time.
During the testing of the bracelet Lenovo HW02 Plus, this function did not cause any complaints. Steps are calculated accurately, while smart algorithms clearly enough filter out any extraneous activities like driving in public transport.
In addition to the number of steps, the screen also displays the distance traveled.
And the next touch to the screen will allow you to see a number of calories consumed.
When comparing the readings with Mi Band and Google Fit, the data differed slightly.
Lenovo HW01 can independently determine the type of activity: running and walking. However, in the application, you can still activate a special training mode, during which additional information is recorded, including route, climb, and pulse. In the future, all this information the bracelet can transfer to Google Fit.
In theory, Lenovo HW02 Plus should independently determine the time of the onset of sleep and recovery, and also fix its phases. However, in practice, this function is not implemented in the best way. The device does not always correctly handle this task, then attributing several hours of sleep, then, on the contrary, reducing its duration. With the analysis of the phases, I’m sure too, everything is not going smoothly.
However, remembering how much this function was being improved in the first Mi Band, we can expect that the Lenovo HW02 Plus is still ahead. I hope that the developers will draw conclusions and finalize the algorithms for determining sleep in the following firmware. By the way, at the time of writing this article, one firmware update has already arrived and sleep tracking has started to work, it seems, a little better.
Heart Rate Measurement
The Lenovo HW02 Plus is working perfectly. Measurements are carried out quickly, and their results coincide with those obtained by manual calculation.
The device can measure the pulse automatically every 15 minutes and give you a signal if its value exceeds the value you set. This function results in a significant battery power consumption, so if desired, you can turn it off.
In sports mode, the Lenovo HW02 Plus can monitor the pulse continuously. All data is then sent to the application on the smartphone, where they can be viewed after the workout. It will be useful to those athletes who want to get additional information about the intensity of their activities.
Lenovo HW02 Plus: Another feature
Since these functions are optional for a fitness bracelet, I will briefly describe them.
- Manage your music player. After a few clicks on the sensor, the player control buttons appear on the screen. With their help, you can start playback, stop it or switch to the next track. It is very convenient while jogging if your smartphone is hidden somewhere deep.
- Notification of calls and messages. When a call or SMS message arrives, the bracelet starts vibrating, while the subscriber number is displayed on the screen. It is also possible to receive notifications from Facebook, Twitter, Skype, email and some other applications.
- A reminder of activity. If you sit too long, the bracelet will remind you of the need to get up and move.
- Search for a smartphone. When this function is activated, the smartphone emits several loud signals and vibrates.
- Anti-loss. If the connection between the bracelet and the smartphone is broken, then HW01 will notify you about this vibration. So you definitely will not forget your phone in a cafe or shop.
- To make a photo. I can hardly imagine who this feature might be useful for. But if you suddenly need to take a picture by pressing the button on the bracelet, then you know: Lenovo HW01 can do it.
Lenovo HW02 Plus: Battery and Protection
The working time of the fitness bracelet from one charge is 1-2 weeks, depending on the style of use of the device. If you constantly measure the pulse, check the time and synchronize the gadget with your smartphone, then after seven days you will need to recharge. In a gentler mode, the Lenovo HW02 Plus may well last two weeks.
On the one hand, the declared protection class IP67 certification protection from water jets of any direction. This means that you can take a shower. But in the instructions to the device, it is written that it is not intended for showering or swimming.
This record confused me a bit, but I still decided to test the Lenovo HW02 Plus with a hot shower. It’s okay, it works. So the caution in the instruction is caused, rather, by the excessive caution of the manufacturer.
Lenovo HW02 plus: Conclusions and Reviews
In general, Lenovo HW02 Plus makes a good impression. It looks great, it sits comfortably on his hand, clearly considers steps and pulse. There is only one moment that overshadows this picture – sleep monitoring.
Now Lenovo HW02 Plus costs only $45 with Presale Price, which is quite an adequate price for a fitness bracelet that has such specs, from a well-known manufacturer.[coupon title=”Lenovo HW02 Plus MIO PAI Smartband” url=”https://goo.gl/7am9f6″ code=”Presale Price” reveal=”true” image=”http://www.awaqa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/11_1-1.jpg” theme=”base red” description=”Coupon Price: $39.46
