The new smartphone model Redmi Note 10T is an exact copy of the Redmi Note 10 5G device. Just for some markets, the manufacturer named the device as the Note 10T, and for others, the Note 10 5G.
Despite this, today I will disassemble the device on the shelves, and in this review you will recognize a well-assembled smartphone. In addition, I will share with you about the main advantages and disadvantages of the device.
If we talk about cost, then at the time of writing the review, the price tag on the Redmi Note 10T was $215. Is it a lot or not? Let’s measure the devices based on the technical specs.
Of course, the first feature of the new Note 10T model is its proven MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with 5G networking. In addition, the smartphone received a 6.5-inch IPS screen with 90 Hz refresh quality. 48MP main camera module, 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
From these specs, I can concisely conclude that the Note 10T model also has completely the same features as the new Poco M3 Pro smartphone. Therefore, let’s try, the main differences between all these smartphone models and at the end I will tell you which version of which device is best to buy.
Thus, I planned to start my full and detailed review with the exterior, but first, let’s talk about the configuration.

Unboxing and packaging
As you may have noticed, the name Redmi Note 10 5G is written on the front of the package, not Note 10T. As I said at the beginning of the review, these are two completely identical smartphones. The packaging itself was made in typical sizes and shapes. Where from the front you can see the drawing of the device and the model name.
Inside the package, everything was arranged in the same way as on most devices in this price range. The first thing that met me was a small envelope with a silicone transparent cover with instructions and a needle for the SIM tray.
A smartphone with a protective transport film was located just below. But at the very bottom of the box, I found a 22.5W power adapter and a Type-C cable. In general, everything is standard with the package bundle, and therefore let’s smoothly talk about the quality of the device.
Design, build quality and materials
As I said at the beginning of the article, the Redmi Note 10T device is a complete replica of the Poco M3 Pro model. But naturally, there are small differences between these smartphone models.
The first thing I liked about the Note 10T was the use of matte, rough plastic on the back of the device. It is very pleasant to the touch and does not leave fingerprints on the back. In general, the materials used, although not flagship, are definitely worth their attention.
It is also worth noting that the side of the device was also made of plastic. But the front of the smartphone used a protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3. At the same time, the build quality was at a fairly good level and I did not notice any extraneous squeaks and sounds during my testing.
The back of the Redmi Note 10T smartphone has received three camera modules with dual LED flash. Here you can notice a slight difference between the design of the main camera module in the Poco M3 Pro and Note 10T models.
On the right side, you can find a power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner and a volume rocker. At the same time, the left side of the smartphone received a hybrid slot for dual nano SIM cards or one nano SIM card and a MicroSD memory card.
On top of the case is a headphone jack, infrared port and a hole for a noise canceling microphone. The bottom of the case uses a Type-C connection, speaker and main microphone. If we talk about the front, then in its upper part there is an earpiece and a round cutout in the screen for a selfie camera. Also, a protective film from the factory was already glued on the screen.
As for the sound quality, the main speaker played quite loudly and even at the maximum volume value did not emit extraneous creaks and noises. In general, the sound quality was more or less average for its class of devices. In addition, I liked the work of the fingerprint scanner.
Now it’s worth talking a little about the size and weight of the Note 10T smartphone. If we compare the indicators of the dimensions of the Poco M3 Pro and Note 10T, they will be completely identical. It is 161.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs about 190 grams. Okay, I figured out the appearance, now let’s find out a little information about the screen and the transmitted image.
Screen and picture quality
As for the screens, on the Redmi Note 10T and Poco M3 Pro models, it is absolutely identical. It is a 6.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Immediately, I note that the screens on smartphones from Redmi and Poco use IPS matrix technology.
Among other positive features of the screen, I can single out the presence of a function of 90 Hz screen refresh rate. Therefore, while using the device, the smoothness of the user interface was very high. It is also worth mentioning that in the settings you can set the screen frequency to 60 Hz if you need to conserve battery power.
The maximum brightness value was in the range of about 500 nits. Yes, this is not much, so using the screen outdoors can lead to reading problems.
In the screen settings of the Note 10T smartphone, you can set various options and functions. For example, choosing a color scheme and controlling the black or white color of the user interface. In addition, there are useful chips that will be necessary for reading at night and much more. Overall, I liked the screen, it has good color reproduction and good viewing angles.
Performance, benchmarks, games and OS
The already proven MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor was installed on the new model of the Redmi Note 10T smartphone. Previously, I was able to test this chipset and I was very pleased with its benchmark test results. Let me remind you that absolutely the same processor was installed on the Poco M3 Pro and Realme Narzo 30 models.
In addition, this chipset received 7 nanometer technology and has eight cores in its design. There are two powerful Cortex-A76 cores with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz, and the remaining six cores are energy-saving with a frequency of 2.0 GHz. Now let’s talk about the benchmark test results. For example, in the most popular test, AntuTu, the device scored about 263 thousand points. You can see other tests in the album below.
As for gaming processes, the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator is used on board the Redmi Note 10T smartphone. Yes, it may not be the most productive chipset, but I managed to play the hardest games like PUBG Mobile and even Genshin Impact. After one hour of testing, the device didn’t get too hot, which is very good.
By the amount of memory, everything is standard, I have a version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. But you can choose from 4 and 128 GB, 6 and 64 GB, 6 and 128 GB, 8 and 128 GB, 8 and 256 GB. Well, the number of modifications may not please me. If you look at the read and write speed results, the device scored 840 MBps read speed and 480 MBps write speed.
Of the other positive features, I can attribute it to a dual-band Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 5.1, fast GPS signal operation and, most importantly, the presence of an NFC module. The last module will be useful for the modern user, since payment with Google services is supported on a mobile device from Redmi.
Naturally, the latest version of the Redmi Note 10T smartphone is controlled by the Android 11 operating system and received the MIUI 12 user interface. I think you have already encountered this shell before. If not, then you will not find any special problems in management here. Also, all functions, gesture controls and other features worked properly and quickly.
Camera and sample photos
As I mentioned earlier, the Redmi Note 10T smartphone uses three main camera modules. Where the main sensor received a resolution of 48 megapixels and has an aperture of f/1.8. Photos, both in the daytime and at night, turned out to be very good. But in low light, you’d better use night mode.
The second and third camera modules received 2 megapixel resolution, and they were created for macro and bokeh shots. Both sensors worked properly and you can see examples of photos in the album below.
At the same time, an 8-megapixel camera for selfies is located on the front of the device. Yes, maybe in poor light, the quality of the photos was not the best, but in good light, I did not find any major problems.
As for the application in the camera, here I found such modes of operation as photo, video, portrait, 48 MP, pro and others. In the settings, I noticed that the maximum video resolution for both the main and front cameras was only 1080p and 30 frames per second.
Battery and run time
Considering that the Redmi Note 10T smartphone has a standard battery capacity, as for modern standards. This is 5000 mAh, then the battery life will lie within reasonable values.
That is, during my testing, I was able to test the device for about 1.5 days. But I had very difficult testing conditions, such as tests of various benchmarks, games and others. With everyday use, the smartphone can easily work up to 2 full working days.
The smartphone is charged via the Type-C connection and a full charge from 5 to 100% took me about 2 hours and 10 minutes. It’s not super fast, but it’s also not the slowest rate.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
After fully testing the new model of the budget smartphone Redmi Note 10T with support for 5G network, I was left under good emotions. But do not forget that models such as Poco M3 Pro and Realme Narzo 30 with very similar technical specs have also passed through my hands. Therefore, the choice of the device is becoming very problematic at the present time.
But on my own behalf, I want to say that although all of the above models are very similar, I liked the appearance of the new device from Redmi the most. Since it uses a matte plastic with a rough finish, on which there are no traces of use at all.
Other than that, I liked the features such as the bright and colorful screen with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also received good performance, decent battery life and even has good quality photos on the main camera module.
The disadvantages I can attribute is that this is not the best quality of selfies at night and there is also no ultra-wide camera module on the smartphone.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
I already mentioned at the beginning of the review that the price tag on the Redmi Note 10T was $ 214.89 with a 30% discount. Undoubtedly, this is a good price for a device of this class.
Below I will leave a list of the main competitors that were discussed today. But in general, I can also recommend the new smartphone model from the Redmi brand.
