The Realme brand has unveiled a unique limited edition smartphone called the Realme GT Master Edition.
Yes, I have already been able to test a series of devices from the Realme GT line. Therefore, if you are interested in knowing my opinion about other models, then you can easily read the articles on this link here.
In this review, I will share with you a complete and in-depth review of the new Master Edition smartphone model. I will also talk about the main advantages and disadvantages of the device. In addition, we will be able to find out the results of various performance tests, build quality, and even show you examples of photos taken with this device.
In terms of cost, the current price tag for the Realme GT Master Edition is only $315. But in fact, I bought this smartphone even cheaper when the last summer sale took place. And then he cost me $299, which you will agree is very good.
Of the technical features, the smartphone stands out for the presence of a 6.43 inch Super AMOLED screen and a 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the device received an updated Snapdragon 778G processor with 5G support. Another smartphone from Realme boasts a 64-megapixel main module and a 32-megapixel camera on the front of the case.
In addition, I can highlight a good battery capacity of 4300 mAh with support for fast charging at 65W. Other features include NFC, WIFI 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. But the most important feature concerned the appearance of the device, and I will talk about it just below in the full review. Now I propose to talk about unboxing and packaging.

Unboxing and packaging
Like the Realme GT device model, the new Master Edition comes in a rather large rectangular package. The box itself was made of black and on the front of it there was only the name of the model and the company. But on the back, you can see the main features of the device from Realme.
Inside the package, I found the following components, this is, directly, the smartphone itself, which was pasted over in a bright film with the main functions on the screen. Also below was a protective black silicone case. In addition, the kit includes a 65W power adapter, a Type-C cable, instructions and a needle for a SIM tray.
I have a global version of my smartphone, so the power adapter was with a European plug, and this was good news for me. Even if you look at the official Realme store, you can buy some other accessories there, such as headphones or even a protective glass for the screen.
Design, build quality and materials used
My version of the new smartphone model Realme GT Master Edition was made of gray and had a nice used material on the back of the device. Faux leather was used here and it was very pleasant to the touch. In addition, here you can see an interesting eye-catching drawing.
Therefore, the device was very secure in my hand and I did not have the feeling that the GT Master Edition model would slip out at the wrong moment. As for the dimensions, they were 159.2 x 73.5 x 8.7 mm, and the smartphone weighs 180 grams. But I’ll highlight right away, if you take a different color of the device, then the materials of manufacture will differ from the gray version. As well as the dimensions and weight of the device.
I had no particular complaints about the build quality, the smartphone was well assembled. Also, I did not identify any extraneous sounds or squeaks in his performance.
It is also worth noting that in my version of the device, the frame of the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone was made of chrome-plated plastic. In fact, this is not the best option, as marks from use, including scratches, can easily remain on it. Therefore, it is best to use your smartphone with a protective silicone case.
In addition, on the back of the smartphone, there is a module of three cameras and an LED flash. You can see examples of photos taken with Realme GT Master Edition a little later. Also on the same surface there was a special painting, which testified to the uniqueness of this smartphone model.
The right side received only one button – this is the power button. But there was no fingerprint scanner on it, just like it was not on the back of the device. And the scanner itself was integrated under the smartphone screen and for me this is not the best solution. Since the response time of this scanner was not as fast as, for example, a scanner with a physical sensor. But I had no problems with the accuracy of the operation.
If you look at the left side of the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone, here I found a volume rocker and a slot for dual nano SIM cards. But there is no memory card slot on this model of the smartphone, and this is a little frustrating.
The bottom end of the smartphone received a main speaker, microphone, Type-C port and even has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. As for the main speaker, it played very loudly and I cannot single out any special problems with the playback quality. That is, the sound quality was very dynamic and rich, as for its value.
Screen and image quality
In the new model of the device Realme GT Master Edition, in addition to the unique appearance, the smartphone stands out with a very good screen matrix. The smartphone uses a 6.43-inch screen with a Super AMOLED matrix. In addition, the device received a standard screen resolution of Full HD + or 1080 x 2400 pixels.
At the same time, the pixel density per inch was 409 PPI, but the useful area occupied by the screen was 85.3%. If you look at the bezels of the screen, they were very minimal, except for the lower chin. The device also received a round cutout in the screen for a selfie camera. It is also worth noting that out of the box, the screen already has a protective film and this is also not so bad.
Among other features, I can highlight the presence of a 120 Hz screen refresh rate. But if necessary, you can easily set the screen frequency to 60 or 90 Hz. The screen also got a good maximum brightness value of 1000 nits. This means that you can easily use your smartphone outdoors in bright sunny weather.
In addition, I liked the transmitted colors from the Super AMOLED matrix. They were very contrasting and quiet with realistic and vibrant hues. There are also a lot of different features in the screen settings. For example, you will be able to select the display color gamut, set the reading mode or night mode, and much more.
Performance, benchmarks, games and OS
The updated version of the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone uses a new processor from Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 778G model. This chipset was built on 6 nanometer technology and received a very similar structure to the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor in its architecture. For example, it was based on eight cores. These are four Kryo 670 Silver cores with a clock speed of 1.9 GHz, three Kryo 670 Gold cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and another powerful Kryo 670 Prime core with a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
I did not identify any problems with processor performance, since all the processes were very fast and without any special delays. If you look at the benchmark tests, then in the AnTuTu test, the device scored about 495 thousand points. Below I will leave other test results of synthetic tests.
If we talk about gameplay, then the graphics accelerator that is not the most outstanding is the Adreno 642L. But it showed itself on a decent side at medium graphics settings. I was able to play the most demanding and heavy games like PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact and many more. The average frame rate was around 50-60 FPS. But if you set a high graphics value, then frame drops will be up to 20-30 FPS.
I have the most basic version of a smartphone with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. But besides this, a version is available for 8 and 128 or 8 and 256 GB of memory. Since there is no separate slot for a memory card, the built-in memory is definitely worth paying attention to.
Among other features, the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone stands out for its 6th generation Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 version and a fast and accurate GPS module. In addition, an NFC module was built on board the device, and therefore I could easily connect my cards for payment through the terminal. All sensors and modules worked flawlessly.
As for the operating system, the new smartphone model GT Master Edition uses Android 11 version with Realme UI 2.0. I did not find any particular complaints during my testing, but sometimes there were minor delays. Therefore, I think that the user interface is not very optimized and in the future, there will be no particular complaints with subsequent updates.
Camera and sample photos
Since it is difficult to call the flagship device Realme GT Master Edition, the camera also belongs to the middle class of devices. For example, a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture was used on the back of the device. There was also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide module with a 119-degree viewing angle. And then there was a 2-megapixel sensor for macro shots.
On the front of the device, a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.5 aperture was used. You can see examples of the quality of photos in the album below. But from myself, I can note that the device shot pretty well, both on the front and on the main camera.
In the camera app, you can find modes such as night, ultra-wide, portrait, 64-megapixel and more. The maximum video recording resolution of the main camera sensor was 4K and 30 frames per second. But the front camera was shooting video with a resolution of 1080p and also 30 frames per second.
Battery and run time
That being said, the battery life didn’t really impress me during my full testing of the Realme GT Master Edition. Since the device used a 4300mAh battery.
This capacity was enough for a full working day and no more with active use. As you can understand, the result is not the best record at all. In addition, the benchmark test showed the result of about 7 hours of work with the screen on.
But on the other hand, the smartphone has a fast charging function with 65W power. Therefore, the total charging time from 0 to 100% was only 39 minutes. But in half an hour, the device was charged by 90%.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
Realme GT Master Edition is not just a modern smartphone with good performance, but also a great option with good build quality.
On the positive side, I can highlight the presence of interesting artificial leather on the back of the device. In addition, I liked the quality of the screen with its nice features. For example, it’s a 120Hz refresh rate and a Super AMOLED screen.
In terms of performance, it’s not all that bad either, as the new 6nm Snapdragon 778G processor was used on board the smartphone. The device also stands out for its good camera performance and I also liked the charging time.
Of the shortcomings, the smartphone does not have an additional slot for a memory card. Also, I didn’t really like the chrome side of the device, which was made of plastic.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
Do not forget that the new smartphone model from Realme has a limited edition. Therefore, the number of devices is not infinite and there are not so many models available as it seems at first glance.
As for the cost, at present the price tag for the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone is only $315.99 for the basic version. But for the top-end modification, the manufacturer asks for $355.49.
