Realme, together with the new brand Dizo, introduced a new model of wireless earbuds called Realme Dizo GoPods D.
The strategy of the new brand Dizo is very similar to Redmi’s move as from Xiaomi. That is, a producer wants to earn its trust with the quality and low cost of its products. So, let’s first find out how much the new TWS earbuds from Dizo will cost you?
At the time of this writing, the price tag for Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds was only $20. This is a very sweet proposal and I can easily attribute these earbuds to ultra budget devices.
Now let’s find out what are the main features that Realme offers with Dizo. First of all, the earbuds received a rather large built-in driver of 10 mm, as for in-ear earbuds. Also, the device was equipped with a game mode with a minimum level of latency.
If you look at the version of the wireless connection, then it uses Bluetooth 5.0 with the SBC audio codec. You can also highlight the presence of a good battery life of up to 20 hours with support for fast charging.
So let’s find out if the new TWS earbud model is worth your attention or not? Therefore, I propose to start my full review with the unboxing and appearance of the device.

Unboxing and packaging
The Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds come in a fairly budgetary package. This is not a particularly dense box, but the earbuds came to me for review intact and without damage. On the front of the package, you can find a drawing of a charging box with earbuds, as well as their name.
In the meantime, I found inside the package – this is the charging box itself with earbuds inside. The package also includes a MicroUSB charging cable, two pairs of replaceable silicone ear tips and instructions for use.
On the positive side, I can single out the presence of a fairly good quality of silicone ear tips. But there is also a drawback, and as you might have guessed, this is an outdated MicroUSB cable. Okay, now let’s talk about build quality and ergonomics.
Design, quality workmanship and materials
The manufacturer Dizo offers a choice of two types of colors for the GoPods D model – it is in white and black. I have it in white on my test, but I think that the black version will also look good as well as the white color.
As for the materials used, the new model of Realm Izo Go Pods D wireless earbuds was made of pleasant matte plastic. It is difficult to call the plastic itself budget, although the price tag for the device is quite low.
Other than that, I liked the build quality. All components were well fitted and during my testing I did not find any extraneous sounds. It is also worth mentioning that the device has received a slight degree of protection against water under the IPX4 standard. That is, earbuds from the Dizo brand will not be afraid of sweat or small splashes.
If we talk about the ease of fit, then the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds received an ergonomic design. For example, the dimensions of one earphone are 22 x 19 x 23 mm, and the weight is about 4 grams. Therefore, I could easily wear the earbuds for hours without feeling much discomfort. Although after 2-3 hours of wearing, my ears needed a little pause. Do not forget that these are in-ear vacuum earbuds.
On the outside of the earbud case, there is a touch control panel. Also, this surface received an imitation of metal, but in fact it is plastic. Meanwhile, on the inside, there are two contacts with a magnetic connection. At the same time, the sound guide of the device received a protective metal mesh from dust and foreign debris.
Ok, now let’s talk a little about the appearance of the charging box. Like the earbuds themselves, the charging case was made of nice matte plastic. Its dimensions were 60 x 45 x 32 mm with a weight of 32 grams excluding the weight of the earbuds.
Yes, it is possible that the quality of the charging box can hardly be called ideal, since the lid received a slight backlash. But there is a click when closing the lid, as on more expensive TWS earbuds. On the cover itself, there is a Dizo logo and an LED indicator on the front side. But on the back of the box, you can see the charging MicroUSB port for charging.
As I said in the unpacking section, the presence of a MicroUSB connection will definitely not cause positive emotions for most users. Therefore, I think that in the future, Dizo will consider having a modern Type-C connection. And now this is definitely a huge disadvantage from the side of the Dizo manufacturer.
Connection, latency and touch control
Since these are ultra budget wireless earbuds, you shouldn’t expect the very latest wireless connection. That is, the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds received a Bluetooth 5.0 version with support for SBC audio codecs.
This may not be the latest version of wireless connectivity, but in real life the connection quality was pretty good. That is, the device picked up a signal at a distance of 10 meters and I did not find any special interruptions during my testing.
Also, the manufacturer Dizo also offers to install a mobile application for the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds, which is called Realme Link App. After installing the application, you can only monitor the remaining battery level of the earbuds, but there is no charging box. In addition, the app allows you to activate the Game Mode feature, customize sound effects, and even change touch settings.
As for the game mode, it really works and the earbuds worked pretty well on my test. That is, in the PUBG Mobile game, I could play with light comfort. Yes, there may have been a slight delay, but to my ears it was very slight. And if we talk about the delay on YouTube, then I did not find it at all.
Now let’s talk about touch controls. The Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds use a touch panel that worked very well and I did not have accidental taps.
- Double-tapping calls the function to play or stop the track.
- Triple-tap toggles the track forward.
- A long hold will activate the game mode function.
Yes, the functionality is not very wide, but through the Realme Link App you can still configure some useful functions.
Sound and microphone quality
In each earbud, the manufacturer Dizo has set a rather large driver size of 10 mm. As for ultra budget earbuds, this is not a small driver size. Therefore, I had no special comments with the sound quality.
The volume level of the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbud model is enough and I do not recommend listening to music at 100% volume level. Since you will lose your hearing ahead of your time.
As for the sound itself, the earbuds received a rather pleasant and velvety bass. Also in the mobile application you can activate the sound effect Bass Boost + and the bass will be even more massive.
If we talk about mid and high frequencies, then they were also well developed, as for budget earbuds. At the same time, the sound of vocals and musical instruments was at a fairly good level.
Of course, I do not want to say that the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds play very cool, since there are models with the best sound. But considering its cost, the sound quality was pretty good.
If we talk about the quality of the microphones, then here the manufacturer indicates the presence of a function to suppress ambient sounds during a call. But in practice, this function worked negatively, since extraneous noises were clearly audible. Therefore, my interlocutors asked me to speak several tones louder. But in a quiet room, the quality of the microphone was very positive.
Battery and run time
I did not find information about the battery capacity in each Realme Dizo GoPods D. But according to my assumptions, about a 40 mAh battery is used here, but the charging box received a 400 mAh battery capacity.
During my testing, the earbuds lost 4 hours at maximum volume. But if you listen to music at 70-80% volume level, then the battery life will be about 5 hours. At the same time, using the charging box, the total battery life will increase to 20 hours.
Fast charging of the earbuds is not provided, since the earbuds are charged by 10% in 10 minutes. Therefore, the total charging time of the earbuds will be about 1.5 hours, and the charging box itself will be about 2.5 hours via the Micro-USB connection.
Conclusion, reviews, pros and cons
What makes the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbuds stand out from their main competitors? Let’s talk about their strengths and weaknesses.
First of all, I liked the quality of the workmanship and the ergonomic fit in the ear canal. In addition, the earbuds were made of pleasant matte plastic, which was not particularly easily soiled.
Of the other positive aspects, I can single out – this is a pleasant and not the worst sound, as for its class of devices. Also, the earbuds have a good and enveloping bass.
On the negative side, I can mention the lack of a volume control function and the poor performance of microphones in noisy places. And the biggest drawback in the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbud model is the presence of a MicroUSB charging connectiRealme Dizo GoPods D Review: Decent TWS Earbuds For $19
Price and where to buy cheaper?
As I have said more than once throughout the entire review, the price tag for the Realme Dizo GoPods D earbud model is very attractive. That is, you can currently buy earbuds at a good and low price for only $19.99 with a 40% discount.
This isn’t the worst budget TWS earbud I’ve tested. Therefore, if you are not particularly confused by the shortcomings of this model from Dizo, then I can definitely recommend GoPods D earbuds for purchase.
