I recently talked about the Ulefone Armor 10 rugged smartphone, but Oukitel introduced another rugged smartphone called Oukitel WP10. And it’s not hard to guess that the new smartphone from Oukitel is a direct competitor to the Armor 10.
Many of you suggest buying a flagship rugged smartphone? If so, then in this review you will find out the main differences between the two models of the Ulefone and Oukitel brand. Also, after reading the article, you can easily settle on the correct and preferred choice.
In addition, I will tell you about the main features of a rugged device from Oukitel, about its advantages and disadvantages.
With a bit of pricing information, the Oukitel WP10 can currently be purchased for the same price as the Armor 10 for just $ 400. The price is very attractive when you know such a big amount of money.
On the technical side, the differences between the models from Ulefone and Oukitel are hard to find. But here are some nuances, for example, the WP10 battery has 8000 mAh. Remember the Armor 10 had a 5800mAh battery. And also the device from the Oukitel brand received a slightly modified design and the presence of contacts for additional modules and accessories.
The main camera received some more differences. The WP10 uses a 48-megapixel main module, while Armor 10 has a 64-megapixel sensor. Other features and functions are exactly the same.
Therefore, I propose to already start a full review to find a WP10 smartphone as well protected as the company advertises.

Unboxing and packaging
The first thing that meets the user after the purchase is a big black box. On the front, you can see the name of the model and the company, and in the upper right corner is the 5G feature.
Inside the package, I found the following components – this is the smartphone itself. It was completely covered with the film both on the front and on the back. The package also includes an 18 W power adapter, Type-C power cable, instructions and that’s it.
Therefore, the equipment of the Armor 10 smartphone was a little better, as the manufacturer put a protective glass for the screen and an adapter from 3.5 mm to Type-C in the box.
Design, build quality and materials
The differences in appearance between Armor 10 and the Oukitel WP10 are significant. For example, the body of our hero WP10 got even thicker – 17.6 mm, and the weight was 380 grams.
Let me remind you that the rugged smartphone from Ulefone had a thickness of 14.5 mm and weighed about 335 grams. It is not surprising that the device from Oukitel has more dimensions and weight since the smartphone has a larger battery capacity of 8000 mAh. Naturally, this container needs to be stored somewhere, right?
Therefore, in terms of convenience, Ulefone wins, it is more compact and lighter, but the WP10 model will be more practical. But I’ll talk about battery life a little later.
Naturally, both smartphones received full protection against water, drops, and dust under the IP68/IP69K standard. But the Oukitel smartphone was also equipped with MIL-STD 810G military protection. This makes the WP10 feel much stronger.
In terms of the materials used, everything is standard, as for a rugged smartphone – it is an elastic rubber and a metal case. The back panel and side ends are made of rubber material. Therefore, even if dropped from a big height, the smartphone will survive 100%.
The front of the WP10 has exactly the same screen size as the Armor 10. This is a 6.67-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.
I really liked the screen quality on Ulefone, but I can’t say that the screen quality on the WP10 is worse. I think this is exactly the same sensor as on Armor 10. For example, the viewing angles are very wide and the brightness is enough for comfortable use even in sunny weather.
There is even exactly the same round cutout at the top of the screen as on the Armor 10. But the bezels around the screen remain the same size, but this is not surprising to me, since this is a rugged smartphone.
On the back, you can find a large module of quad cameras and an LED flash. In the central part, it has the NFC logo, just below the company logo and the IP68 protection mark. There are also contacts for additional accessories and of course the main speaker.
At the same time, the sound quality is very similar on both models. The sound itself is loud, but it’s hard to call it quality.
The right side of the Oukitel WP10 received a volume rocker, a power button, and a fingerprint scanner. Here I can also note that the fingerprint scanner is located in a more convenient place than on the Armor 10 model.
On the left side, there are only two buttons – SOS and PTT. But also in the phone settings they can be changed to any other functions.
At the bottom of the case are a Type-C power port and a microphone hole. There is nothing on the top.
Therefore, there are differences between the two models, and for me they are significant. Therefore, you should choose for yourself what is more important for you – is it a thinner body and less weight, or a more convenient location for the fingerprint scanner.
Performance, benchmarks tests, and OS
I’m already familiar with the new MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor thanks to the Armor 10. The new Oukitel WP10 smartphone also uses this processor and shows very good results in terms of gaming capabilities and synthetic tests.
For example, below I will leave an album with the main benchmark tests, and you can analyze the results of both models.
The ARM Mali-G57 MP4 graphics accelerator shows a very good result in terms of games. I could easily run the most difficult games at high graphics settings and after a long time, the device practically did not heat up.
By the amount of memory, everything is fine here as well. The WP10 uses 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The read and write speed is quite fast for a rugged smartphone.
In terms of the user interface, everything is absolutely the same as on the Armor 10. That is, the smartphone runs Android 10. Thanks to the good processor, the user interface opens or flips pages very quickly. During my test, I did not find any freezes or twitching.
Wireless connectivity is also good. Oukitel WP10 uses Bluetooth 5.0 version, dual-band Wi-Fi module, and also has GPS and NFC sensors. The latter is very important for most users since usually, all people began to pay for their purchases through contactless payments on their smartphones.
Camera and sample photos
A small difference between the two flagship rugged smartphones is the main camera. The Oukitel WP10 currently uses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 Exmor RS module with f/2.0 aperture. You can see examples of photos in the album below. On my own, I note that daytime photos look good, but at night they lack clarity.
The second module of the main camera received a 13-megapixel resolution with a viewing angle of 126 degrees. At the same time, the pictures were pretty good, as for a rugged device.
The third and fourth modules for portrait and macro shooting were received by 2-megapixels. Both sensors work properly, but the quality of macro mode photos will not be the best.
On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The quality of the photos is quite good, while the clarity is high and the colors are realistic.
Battery and run time
A significant feature of the Oukitel WP10 is the battery life. A large 8000mAh battery is used inside the case.
If Armor 10 was discharged in 1.5 days of active use, then the WP10 model lasted 2 full days. During my tests, I put a very heavy load on the processor, for example, I ran various benchmark tests, played demanding games, and took photos and videos.
Thus, if you use your smartphone in normal mode, for example, watch videos on YouTube, scroll through the feed on social networks, then the device will quietly work for 3 to 4 days.
At the same time, the charging time will not be the fastest, because it uses a power adapter with a power of 18W. A full charge will take about 2.5 hours of your time.
Conclusion, reviews, pros, and cons
Oukitel WP10 is another 5G flagship smartphone. It got a fast and efficient processor with a quality screen for its price.
Also, I can also refer to the positive aspects – this is full-fledged protection against falls, dust, and water. In addition, I liked the look of the fingerprint scanner on the side.
Other highlights of the WP10 include NFC, a 48MP camera, and 8000mAh battery capacity.
The disadvantages can be attributed – this is not the most compact body in terms of its dimensions and weight. Even with fast charging, a full charge will take you considerable time. Also, I don’t see a strong point in macro mode, but if it is, then let it be.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
The price tag on the Oukitel WP10 is exactly the same as on the Armor 10 is $ 399.99. This is a low cost considering a large number of features and functions.
If you choose between two rugged smartphones Oukitel and Ulefone, then there is a difference between them and I have already talked about them in this article. Therefore, the choice of purchase is only yours. I liked both models and I can safely recommend them to you.
