New Speed Test Comparison Shows Galaxy S8 vs Xiaomi Mi 6

The Mi 6 was recently announced by Xiaomi and has become the most powerful smartphone of the brand, being one of the first models in the market to have the chipset Snapdragon 835. It arrives to compete with devices like Galaxy S8 and now a new comparative of speed Shows if he is able to defeat the powerful Samsung smartphone.

One point worth mentioning is that this is the model of Galaxy S8 with Exynos 8895 chipset, and there is also another version with Snapdragon 835. Either way, both are extremely fast and able to open applications quite quickly.

As we can see in the video, even having 2GB less RAM, the Galaxy S8 managed to connect first than the Mi 6, winning the first test. However, this result was not repeated when opening the system applications such as phone and settings, where the Mi 6 showed its power and went ahead.

The Galaxy S8 was only able to get back into the fray by opening applications developed by third parties such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Viber, for example. In all these cases the Samsung smartphone was the winner, although the Mi 6 has been quite close. In practice, the difference will be imperceptible.

Samsung’s top-of-the-line smartphone has always proved to be extremely fast in opening games, from the lightest to the heaviest. It managed to win several other devices like iPhone 7 Plus and LG G6 in this test but ended up being defeated by Mi 6 with his Snapdragon 835 and 6 GB of RAM. The only exception was the opening of Asphalt 8, where the Galaxy S8 was much faster.

Of course, in the test of RAM management, both smartphones did well, keeping all applications and games in the background, ready to be used. However, it should be noted that Mi 6, which with 6 GB of RAM, should keep a greater amount of applications running in the background.

Unfortunately, only the Galaxy S8 is being sold in Europe and costs $1280 on Samsung’s official website. Already the Mi 6 can only be acquired through the import since Xiaomi gave up to bring their smartphones officially to our country. It can be found for approximately $560 in stores such as GearBest, which delivers deliveries in Europe.
