We already talked about the Mifo O5 flagship earbuds so I would like to pay attention to the budget model called the Mifo O2 in this review.
From the name, it is clear that this is a reduced O2 generation, and therefore the prices are lower than the flagship wireless earbuds. Now you can buy Mifo O2 starting at $59.
Naturally, we compare the sound quality between the two models, analyze the build quality and materials, and what are the Mifo O2 wearing.
The wireless earbuds Mifo O2 got a sporty appearance with Bluetooth 5.0, 1200 mAh capacity of the charging box, support for Bluetooth protocols: A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, SPP, PBAP and much more.
Let’s begin our next review of wireless earbuds and start with the specs.
Mifo O2: Specifications

Mifo O2: Unboxing
Although this is not a flagship headset, the packaging looks very premium. I received a small bright box with a pattern of earbuds with a case and the name of the model Mifo O2.
On the back side, I see the technical features of wireless earbuds.
When opening the box, I found a cardboard flap that says how to connect and control the earbuds. Below it, I found a separate box with accessories. It contained a micro USB charging cable of light green color and brief instructions.
Also next to the box of accessories is the charging box and wireless earbuds inside it.
Like the flagship Mifo O5 earbuds, the O2 model was very pleased with its beautiful packaging. The delivery set is standard, but the colors of the materials are unique. Well, let’s talk about the quality of the headphone assembly.
Mifo O2: Design and Appearance
The wireless earbuds Mifo O2 in the test have a very interesting and attractive design. They are bright and aimed at a sports or youth audience.
The big difference between other models of earbuds is the lack of silicone ear cushions so it will be difficult to choose the right size for you. There is a high probability that they will walk in your ears.
Also, it is worth noting that the size and weight of the Mifo O2 are very small and light, the weight is about 4 grams each channel of the earbud. The dimensions are 24 x 19.5 x 16.2 mm. Indeed, they are very easy to wear and they are almost not felt in the ears.
In my case, the wireless earbuds didn’t fit tightly in the ears due to the lack of silicone ear cushions, so this greatly affected the sound quality. Immediately I want to note that they do not fall out when running or playing sports, the earbuds will simply have a slight movement in their ears.
Compared to the flagship Mifo O5 earbuds, the more budget Mifo O2 model is not made of aluminum, but of white plastic.
The quality of plastic is pleasant, it is not cheap plastic, it is a pleasure to hold it in your hands. The same applies to the build quality, for the duration of the whole test I did not notice any backlash or other unpleasant squeaks on the body.
A big plus would be the presence of the Mifo O2 touch control in our analisis, as you remember, the O5 model had a mechanical control and the buttons were very small. In the new O2 model, control has benefited. The LED indicator is located just below the touch button.
On the other side, I see, as usual, a two-pin magnetic connection for charging and the name of the channel.
At the bottom of the case is a microphone for calls on both channels of earbuds. It is also protected by a grid for high-quality communication in windy weather.
The sound guides in the Mifo O2 earbuds in the test are short and a rubber silicone insert is installed on the base instead of ear cushions with a metal mesh to protect them from debris or dust.
Also, earbuds are protected from sweat and spray under the standard IPX5. Therefore, if you sweat heavily during workouts – this will not be a problem for this model of headphones. But it is impossible to wet underwater and swim in Mifo O2.
Charging box is made of the same nice white plastic with green rubber inserts. It looks nice, but the quality of materials at a good level.
Despite the large capacity of the battery of the charging box, the case body itself is relatively thin and can easily fit in a jeans pocket.
On the side of the case is a micro USB port for charging the box.
Inside the box, the earbuds sit perfectly and do not fall out due to the magnetic connection. Also between the earbuds in the case, there are four LED indicators that indicate the level of charge of the box.
Mifo O2: Connection and Control
Recently, rarely come across a wireless connection Bluetooth 4.2 or lower. Modern headphones have the latest version of Bluetooth 5.0, and this applies to the model Mifo O2.
As you know, a Bluetooth 5.0 connection has a number of advantages, such as almost 100% uninterrupted operation with your device, lower power consumption and a greater distance from the source to 20 meters of a barrier-free environment.
Connecting Mifo O2 in the test is simple and without any problems. First, you need to turn on the earbuds, go to the Bluetooth menu and select the Mifo O2 device. Further connections will be made automatically.
As I said, the O2 wireless earbuds have touch control. One press on both channels – pause or play.
Double tap on the left channel – the previous song, on the right channel – the next song.
There is no volume control, so you’ll have to reach your mobile device to adjust the volume. Now I would consider the next section – sound quality.
Mifo O2: Sound
The manufacturer Mifo has installed a 13 mm dynamic driver for O2 wireless earbuds. Indeed, the sound power is large and reaches 122 ± 3 dB.
The sound quality in my case will not get the desired effect due to the very small size and the lack of silicone ear cushions. They do not sit tight in the ear canals and the sound is lost in the air.
From this, I can conclude that the bass is very low, but the volume and clarity of sound are very good. Mids with good performance, pleasant sound, and clear sound.
Also, thanks to Bluetooth protocols such as A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, SPP and PBAP, the quality of the wireless sound is also good.
As for the quality of calls? Then on both sides of the calls, the sound is good and audible without jerks and interference.
Mifo O2: Battery
Like the flagship models, the Mifo O2 have at least a short listening time of about 4 hours, but with great autonomy thanks to the charging case up to 40 hours.
The capacity of the battery of each channel is 35 mAh and 1200 mAh of the charging box.
Full charge time via a micro USB port will be about 2 hours. In general, this is a good indicator in terms of battery life, but due to the large capacity of the charging box.
Mifo O2: Conclusions and Reviews
The youth and sports model Mifo O2 received an interesting design with high-quality materials and assembly in our review.
As I wrote in other reviews about wireless headphones, in the first place there is the convenience of wearing. In Mifo O2 you can’t say it, although they are light and almost invisible when wearing, they dangle because there are no silicone ear cushions of various sizes.
Due to loose wearing, the sound quality drops and is 100% difficult to assess. At least the bass is not as powerful, but the volume and clarity of the sound are at a good level.
If you are listening to music in the background while traveling or playing sports, then Mifo O2 is right for you. They are also well suited for listening to podcasts or watching movies.
Mifo O2: Price and Where to buy cheaper?
At the moment you can order and buy Mifo O2 at a low price for only $ 59.90 with a 50% discount on the official website of the mifo AliExpress Store.
I would advise you to pay a little extra and buy flagship Mifo O5 earbuds with better sound. If you want to listen to music in the background or listen to podcasts, then Mifo O2 will also be a good solution because of the bright and youthful design.
