Meizu A20: Packing

A small column is not sold in any budget package, but in a good cardboard box, just like a Meizu smartphone, they did not save on packaging. It also lists the main specs of the device.

Inside is the column itself in the cellophane bag, and next to it an additional strap-loop.

I note that in the kit there is no cable or charger, Meizu believes that they already have you.

Meizu A20: Design and Appearance

As I understand it, the column is in two colors: black and white. I have a version in white on the photo. The design is universal, the round gizmo fits perfectly into any interior. I would prefer versions in more vivid and life-affirming colors, but what they did.

The body is entirely made of matte plastic, no fabric inserts or aluminum parts. On the edge there is a silver rim, it stands out against the background of a white plastic, and at the bottom of the front part there is a glossy insert: there are buttons for adjusting the volume. When music plays, they glow blue, and when the audio device is charging, the color changes to magenta.

On the back there is a rubber cover-plug, it closes 3.5-mm, port, and micro USB. The first is needed to connect the cable, suddenly you do not want to listen to music via Bluetooth, but prefer a wired connection.

MicroUSB is used for charging, as I wrote above, there is no cable or power supply in the kit.

At the rear of the column is a flat “leg” of rubber, where the power button is also inscribed. It turns out that the column stands on the surface and is directed upwards at an angle. The idea is logical, let the sound go towards the listener, and not just up. Due to the non-slip substrate, Meizu A20 stands confidently and does not slip.

Meizu A20: Ease of use

The column is simple as 5 cents. We launch Bluetooth on the phone, then turn on the column while holding the power button. Meizu A20 in test produces a characteristic sound, and then find it in the list of available devices for connection.

That’s basically it. When you listen to music, you can monitor the level of the charge of the speaker on the phone, in the status line it is visible, the musical device sits or else works.

A complete strap on the hand – a good thing, grab the column and walk down the street, delighting passers-by with selected songs. And maybe, and do not please.

I note that adjusting the volume on the column does not work synchronously with the smartphone. I explain what it means. You can make music quieter or louder by pressing the phone buttons.

But to unscrew the sound to the maximum, you need to increase the volume on both the phone and the speaker. So do not be surprised if suddenly after the first start it will seem that the Meizu A20 is playing quietly, just press the button with the “plus” a few times.

Meizu A20: Quality Sound

I draw your attention that this is not about an evil boombox of immense size, but about a very small contraption, the size of a headphone case.

I liked that Meizu A20 in analisis plays loud and clean, there is no rattling or wheezing. Given that the model of entry-level, excellent quality.

Of course, I would like more “volume” and low frequencies, but devices of this size for such exploits are not calculated. Their task is to replace the phone’s speaker. On this part of the Meizu A20 well done, overrides any Meizu, plays the whole house.

At 50% of the volume, the column plays music for about 15.5 hours. As you know, this is enough for the whole day. Or even for 2 days active weekend at the cottage with a break for sleep. At maximum volume, it works for 8 hours, also worthy. Charges it quickly, from the power supply unit for Meizu Pro 6 it takes less than an hour.

Meizu A20: Conclusions and Reviews

In this review of Meizu A20 liked the size of the device, the sound quality and the running time. The column deserved an “excellent” rating in all respects, but the prices of Meizu usually differ democratically.

Meizu A20: Price and Buy cheaper

Now you can buy Meizu A20 for about $24.49 and will become another hit of sales, and will also be regularly included in the list of collections of gifts for various holidays.
