Lenovo recently introduced a new near-flagship tablet called the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro. As you know, many of the price tags for these are quite large. Therefore, I suggest that you consider an alternative option called Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro.
If you look at the technical specs of these models, then they are completely identical to each other. The difference between the two tablet models is only in the firmware version. For example, the Tab P11 Pro was designed for the international market, while the XiaoXin Pad Pro is for the Chinese market.
Thus, the price tag for the Chinese tablet XiaoXin Pad Pro will be significantly lower than for the original modification. For example, the device is currently priced at $440. But the version for the international market will cost you $650, depending on the country and region.
So I suggest if there are big differences between the two modifications and if there are, which ones? But let’s take a quick look at the technical part of the tablet. The first thing you notice is the large 11.5-inch OLED screen with high brightness and 2K resolution.
I also liked the performance thanks to the integrated Snapdragon 730G processor. Another manufacturer Lenovo offers a choice of two memory modifications – 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
In addition, Lenovo has installed four quality speakers on its new tablet, dual main cameras, and dual front cameras. In addition, the tablet has a decent 8600mAh battery with 20W fast charging.
Okay, now I think we can start our in-depth and complete review by unpacking and find out what the manufacturer put inside the box.

Unboxing and packaging
The main difference between the international and Chinese versions is the appearance of the packaging. Since most of the inscriptions on the Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro model will have Chinese characters. But the global version comes in exactly the same package size, only there will be no Chinese characters.
The box itself is made of white thick cardboard, where a drawing of the XiaoXin Pad Pro device with the model name is drawn on the front.
Inside the box, I found a neatly packaged Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet, and a 20W power adapter is also included. In addition, inside the box, I also found a Type-C charging cable and an adapter from 3.5 mm to a Type-C connector. The documentation itself was in Chinese only.
Design, build quality, and materials used
As I said, both models, both for the international market and for the Chinese, have a completely identical appearance and materials used. For example, the tablet model received dimensions of 264.3 x 171.4 x 6.9 mm, and the device weighs only 485 grams. That is, it is a very thin tablet with a thickness of less than 7 mm and a weight of no more than half a kilogram.
It’s hard to believe, but such a small thickness is really surprising since even flagship smartphones are an order of magnitude thicker than this tablet model.
In addition, I was completely satisfied with the build quality, as all the buttons on the body of the device had excellent responsiveness. Even in spite of its thin body, the solidity of the device was high. And all thanks to the all-aluminum body, both on the back and on the side edges.
The Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet is made in gray and looks very stylish and premium. Unfortunately, there are no other colors to choose from.
On the back of the tablet, you can find a dual main camera with LED flash. It also features the Lenovo logo. Meanwhile, there is still a dual camera on the front of the device. But I will talk about the quality of the images a little later.
On the side faces, both the left and right sides, there are two speakers. That is, the XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet uses four speakers in total. At the same time, the sound quality is very decent, for example, there is good bass and the volume level is high. In addition, even at high volume, the sound does not creak but plays clearly and in detail. Lenovo’s new tablet has received excellent sound through JBL audio & Dolby Atmos certifications.
The power button was located on the left side and it has a built-in fingerprint scanner. But the fingerprint sensor does not work in the best way. For example, 10 attempts are accurately triggered about 7-8 times. Also between the speakers on the left side is a slot for a microSD memory card. On the negative side, I can attribute the lack of support for the 4G LTE network, and for many users, this will be a significant drawback.
The Type-C 3.2 charging port was located on the right side of the case between the other two speakers. I can also note that the Type-C connection serves not only for charging, but also has a video output.
On the top edge of the tablet, you can see the volume rocker. But at the bottom, there is a connector for an additional built-in keyboard. Yes, I forgot to say that you can buy a keyboard for a new tablet from Lenovo and comfortably type documents or texts.
Screen quality and features
A large 11.5-inch OLED screen was installed on the front of the Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet. It received a resolution of 2K or 1600 x 2560 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 16:10.
Naturally, the pixel density is not the highest and for example, the PPI value was only 263. Despite this, the frames around the screen are quite small and the tablet really looks modern with small frames around the edges.
At the same time, I did not find any problems with the brightness level, since the maximum value of the brightness level was 500 nits. Therefore, using the device outdoors will be just as comfortable as in it.
Additional features include HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Also, in the screen settings, you can set the correct shade for your eyes, as well as choose a black or white theme. In general, the screen quality is pretty good for its class of devices.
Performance, benchmarks, games, and OS
From a performance point of view, I was completely satisfied with everything. Since an 8nm, Snapdragon 730G processor was installed inside the Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro case. It is an eight-core chipset with two Kryo 470 Gold cores 2.2 GHz and six Kryo 470 Silver cores 1.8 GHz.
The Snapdragon 730G processor can be found on many smartphone models, such as Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, Google Pixel 4a, Motorola Moto G9 Plus, and many others. I will leave below an album with tests of various benchmarks and you can evaluate the test results yourself.
Responsible for the graphics accelerator Adreno 618. It shows pretty good gaming performance. For example, I played PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty, the FPS value ranged from 30 to 40 frames per second. Besides, after one hour of playing, the device was a little warm. That is, the temperature of the tablet was within its normal limits and I did not find a strong overheating.
As I said, XiaoXin Pad Pro can be installed with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. At the same time, the speed of the built-in memory was almost 490 MBps read speed and 190 MBps write speed. You also have the opportunity to additionally use a microSD card if the built-in memory is not enough.
It’s not all that bad with wireless connections. For example, onboard the Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 version was installed and there is also a GPS module. I did not observe the performance of the above modules, everything worked perfectly. But the negative aspects I can attribute is the lack of support for SIM cards and the NFC module.
The last thing to talk about is the operating system. The Chinese version of Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro uses Android 10. The seller has already installed services and applications from Google, so you won’t have any problems with the Google Play Store or Youtube. In addition, the tablet has many different languages.
I did not find any comments on the operability of the user interface. Since everything works smartly and quickly. In addition, I liked the work of the touchpad, it responds accurately and without any slowdowns. Thus, I can note that even the Chinese version of the firmware does not practically differ from the international version of the tablet.
Camera and sample photos
At the beginning of the review, I already mentioned that the new XiaoXin Pad Pro tablet model uses quad-camera sensors. The main camera received two modules – a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide shots.
But on the front, there are also two more camera modules, where the main one received a resolution of 8-megapixels. But the second sensor has an IR TOF 3D infrared sensor to determine the owner’s face.
But I can’t say that the new Lenovo tablet model copes well with face recognition. Sometimes the face recognition function works well and sometimes it doesn’t. Therefore, the manufacturer should slightly improve the operation of the owner’s face detection function.
As for the video, it has a resolution of 1080p and 30 frames per second, both the front and the main camera. But I can’t call the video super perfect, but for video conferencing, the front or main camera will be just right. You can also see examples of photos taken with Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro in the album below.
Battery and run time
Despite its very thin body, the battery capacity of the Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro is quite good and the value was 8600 mAh. The manufacturer indicates the result is about 8 hours of battery life.
But my practice has shown almost the same result. But if you use a brightness level of about 200 nits and not heavily load the processor, then you can achieve up to 2 days of battery life without too much trouble.
If you look at the Work 2.0 battery life benchmark, the value was about 10 hours with the screen on. The indicator is very good for its class.
At the same time, charging time via Type-C connection will be up to 3.5 hours. Of course, charging is not as fast as modern smartphones, but you shouldn’t forget about the large battery capacity.
Conclusion, reviews, pros, and cons
The Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro is an almost perfect ultra-thin tablet that is as good as Samsung’s or even its original sibling Lenovo Tab P11 Pro.
I can single out the main advantages of the new model – it is a perfect, bright and contrasting screen, very good build quality and materials used. Also, the device has decent performance. Therefore, you can easily play games, as well as run more complex programs.
In addition, the tablet is able to surprise you with its battery life, and most importantly, rich and cool sound quality. I also liked the fast and adequate work of the user interface, despite the fact that this is the Chinese version of the firmware.
The disadvantage I can attribute is the lack of a SIM card slot and therefore you will not have an LTE network. Also, the operation of the fingerprint scanner and the operation of the owner’s face recognition is not the most accurate.
Price and where to buy cheaper?
It’s hard to find a performance tablet with a premium design and great build quality right now, but Lenovo has presented a great option.
The price for the latest generation Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro or simply Lenovo Tab P11 Pro will be only $439.99. Therefore, I see no reason to overpay for the international version, since the Chinese version will be no worse.
