First of all, the price of the Huawei Watch GT 2 is about $270 for the 46mm version and for $245 for the 42mm version.
The main and definitely important feature will be a battery life of about 2 weeks. Also, an advanced Kirin A1 processor, 5ATM standard water protection, a new generation of Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity and much more.
Let’s get started with the first impression and I’ll start by unpacking.

Huawei Watch GT 2: Unboxing
A black square box with the image of a smartwatch and the name of the model meets on the front.
On the reverse side are some details about the features of the watch and brief specs.
Inside the box was a well-packed smartwatch Huawei Watch GT 2 with foam protection. In addition, in a separate compartment, there was a manual in English, a white docking station and a Type-C charging cable are also white.
The first thing that pays attention to it is the little things and the smartwatches of the second generation Watch GT 2 were well packed and I believe that the amount of $270 is worth its attention.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Design
As I already mentioned, the model Huawei Watch GT 2 is presented in two sizes – this is 42 and 46 mm. Each model has slightly different characteristics in the screen and in design.
For example, in the 46mm version, on the front part around the screen, there are divisions of the clock and dashes, but on the 42mm version, it is a clean, full-fledged screen without any pollution. As for me, the smaller version looks nice and minimalistic.
In general, the 46mm version of the Huawei Watch GT 2 received a typical appearance, like the first generation.
The watch case is made of metal and weighs only 44 grams. In fact, this is a rather light watch and it sits well on the hand.
The smartwatch received a 3D protective glass on the front that can withstand heavy loads from scratches and other harmful factors.
In addition, it is worth noting that the second generation of the Watch GT 2 received protection from water and you can dive up to 50 meters in depth.
As for control, on the Huawei Watch GT 2, there are two buttons available on the right side of the watch – this is turning on and moving backward.
On the back of the screen is a two-pin magnetic port for charging and sensors for heart rate, sleep, and more.
As for the strap, it is removable and you can change it to any other strap if you get tired of the standard one. Also, when choosing an affordable silicone black and leather brown strap.
In thickness, the second generation came out about 9.4 mm and in fact, it is a thin body that looks nice on the wrist.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Screen
Depending on the size, the 42mm version received a 1.2 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. The 46 mm version is equipped with a 1.39 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 inches.
Both screens received good picture quality, black colors are very saturated, and viewing angles are good.
It is also worth noting that the pixel density on both versions is 326 ppi and with the naked eye, individual pixels are not visible on the screen.
The Watch GT 2 screen has rich and good brightness and even in sunny weather, the screen will be readable.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Performance
Inside the smartwatch, a new Kirin A1 processor was installed, which has minimal energy consumption and allows you to work on a single charge for up to 2 weeks.
In the 42 and 46 mm versions, 16 and 32 MB of RAM are installed, respectively, and 4 GB of internal memory on both versions.
At first glance, it may seem that RAM is very small, but in practice using Lite OS I did not notice any delays or glitches.
In general, in terms of performance, the entire application and menu work smoothly and stably without any unnecessary questions.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Features
On the main screen of the Huawei Watch GT 2, I noticed a lot of useful information such as time, date of the week, steps taken and distance, heart rate and much more.
Also, if you hold your finger on the main screen, you will get additional watch faces. According to the manufacturer, new watch faces designs will also come with updates.
If you hold the sensor from right to left, you will get the main features of the watch. For example, checking the heart rate level.
Also, one of the new features is stress conditions, which works through the Huawei Health application and created by Huawei TruRelax.
Next, scrolling further will be – the weather in your city, music control and the last is your activity for today.
If you click on the bottom button on the side of the smartwatch, you get to the main menu of the watch control. In this menu I found – contacts, calls, notifications, workouts, music, compass, settings and much more.
Using a charging cable, you can transfer music to Watch GT 2 memory and listen to your favorite music via Bluetooth headphones without using a phone.
Through the Huawei Health app, you can check almost all the functions of the device at any time. For example, check what the dream was – deep, light and find out detailed information. Huawei TruSleep 2.0 takes full responsibility and responsibility for the information provided.
The practice shows that device metrics running on Huawei Health provide realistic data that you can trust.
The presence of many sports modes, such as running, walking, and even doing swimming in the pool and much more will allow you to monitor the state of your physical activities and report critical loads.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Battery
One of the main factors of smartwatches is the battery life on a single charge. Huawei Watch GT 2 will be able to work for about 1 and 2 weeks, depending on the 42 and 46 mm versions.
The second generation of smartwatches with 46 mm received a 420 mAh battery, and the 42mm version is half as much. The battery life with the GPS function is about 22 hours.
Charging through the docking station will be 2 hours.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Conclusions and Reviews
The new generation of smartwatches Huawei Watch GT 2 introduced advanced features, useful sports modes, and many interesting features. I especially liked the stress analysis feature.
Of course, the large AMOLED screen makes it easy to read the information even in sunny weather outside.
The user interface with Lite OS works stably and without failures, but I would like to get a little more RAM for multitasking.
The main advantage is the operating time on one charge and 2 weeks – this is an amazing result, like for a smartwatch.
Huawei Watch GT 2: Price and where to buy cheaper?
Now official sales are not available on the Huawei Watch GT 2. As soon as the second generation is sold in stores, I will definitely update the information at low prices. The price of the Watch GT 2 will be $270 for the 46mm version and $245 for the 42mm version.
As for smartwatches, the price is slightly higher than its competitors on Android systems, but considering that the previous generation had a similar price tag – this will not be a surprise for many users.
