HTC could benefit from the hype around the red iPhone 7 and offer with the U 11 an alternative to the iOS smartphone from Apple. The new flagship of the Taiwanese is to be available according to the latest Leak namely also in red. Then probably not as “(Product) Red” with a charitable purpose behind it – but still in the bright red, in order to reach attention. In contrast to the iPhone 7, the HTC U 11 is held in the front in black, while the frame and the back in red shine. The look is reminiscent of the HTC U Ultra with the back of the glass and the fingerprint scanner located underneath the display. Interestingly, the price of the U Ultra before the presentation of the U 11 already fell clearly, as the subsequent price comparison shows.

Technically, the HTC U 11 will be on a level with the current flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. This includes a 5.5-inch WQHD display, the fast-paced Snapdragon-835 processor, up to 6GB of RAM and a maximum of 128GB of internal memory. Other features include an UltraPixel-3 camera, BoomSound and “Edge Sense” a touch-sensitive frame, which is to revolutionize the operation of the Android smartphone.
Who does not need the whole Schnickschnack, with the Galaxy S7 the currently most popular Samsung smartphone of the world at the lowest price?
The official presentation of the HTC U 11 will take place on 16 May 2017. At the latest, we will learn how good the pressure-sensitive smartphone really is and whether HTC can revive the last strong sales figures. At least the color choice would currently fit quite well.
