The Xperia XZ Premium will begin shipping to users in several countries in early June, but specialized portals have already got their hands on the new flagship of Sony, making several videos and comparisons between the device and its rivals begin to appear.
After seeing a camera test involving the Xperia XZ Premium and two of its main competitors, Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6, it is time for the device to face its predecessor to see if there is a breakthrough compared to the Xperia XZ in this area that every time has gained more importance among consumers.
Before we go to the video published by the channel Phone Battles on YouTube, it is worth giving a quick pass on the technical specifications of both models with regard to the set of cameras.
|Xperia XZ||Xperia XZ Premium|
|Resolution||23 megapixels||19 megapixels|
|Focal distance||24 mm||25 mm|
|Extras||Laser for focus||Laser for focus|
|Frontal camera||13 megapixels||13 megapixels|
|22 mm||22 mm|
As it can be seen, in theory, the devices have very similar cameras, allowing even more lay users to think that the Xperia XZ has a better sensor because of its greater amount of megapixels. Even so, in practice, the situation is completely opposite, as the Xperia XZ Premium uses an exclusive Exmor RS Mobile sensor, optimized by Motion Eye technology for prediction of focus and Sony G lenses, as well as a dedicated Bion Z Mobile processor.
Then check out the difference between the two generations in the video below:
The video makes it clear that we have a change primarily in focus speed and stabilization, both much softer and smoother on Xperia XZ Premium than Xperia XZ. In terms of image quality, however, it can not be said that we have such a striking difference, something that still needs to go through more in-depth testing to see how far it goes.
In addition to the video recording itself, the manager further demonstrates that they can be used to record underwater scenes without problems, sinking them into the source so we could get an idea of audio capturing and quality during underwater shooting. Here, both basically came out the same way.
And you, what did you think of the videos? Do you believe in a remarkable evolution for the Xperia XZ Premium? Leave us your comment below!
