Bluboo has been investing heavily in its next release which gets its name from Bluboo S1. The device will come with more powerful specifications than we saw in the last releases of the company, but its great differential will bet on the design inspired by the Mi Mix of Xiaomi.
The company has not even officialized its new product and has been releasing videos to spread the news to feed the anxiety of those who wish to have a device practically free of edges but without paying expensive.
Now the Chinese manufacturer has released an image that puts its new smartphone next to its strong inspiration.
The Bluboo S1 will arrive in June with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen that promises to take advantage of 90% of the front area of the device. The Mi Mix brings a huge 6.4-inch screen with the same resolution but exceeding 90% of the front.
In terms of hardware, Bluboo’s new bet will come with MediaTek’s Helio P25 chipset with 2.5 GHz octa-core CPU and Mali-T880 MP2 GPU with 900 MHz speed. The Xiaomi model already features the Snapdragon 821 CPU 2.3 GHz quad-core and Adreno 530 GPUs.
Bluboo will be sold in two versions: the most basic with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, while the most complete will bring 6 GB of RAM and double the internal space. And as seen in the image above, the device has the dual camera in the rear with 16 + 3 MP sensors, while in the front we have the 8-megapixel camera.
Unlike the Xiaomi model, the Bluboo S1 will come with a home button below the screen that should house the biometric reader. In terms of measurements, we are 148.6 mm high, 74.3 mm wide and 7.9 mm thick with 175 grams.
The big advantage of the new Bluboo smartphone will be the price to be charged: only $150. In our currency, we would have $489 in direct conversion. If such a value is confirmed, Bluboo S1 will offer a cost-effective killer.
